A great fast paced thriller. Book 2 of the Bree Turner series is my new fave read! This book will grab you from the start and keep you flipping the pages. Mystery, suspense, twists and turns. When Bree is confronted with her past, how far will she go to keep her secrets? Who knows things about her they shouldn't? You won't see this ending coming!

Holy……. What. Did. I. Just. Read?????? I’m sitting here picking up the pieces of my scattered thoughts after my Alpha read of Elisa D Daniels’ Killer Caller. Get ready for a suspenseful rollercoaster ride! If you thought the dust had settled after Killer’s Playlist, think again. After having the privilege to read it early, I can strongly say this book is a MUST-READ packed with moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat, questioning everything.

Daniels masterfully crafts a chilling narrative that explores deep-seated traumas of kidnapping, murder, stalking and mental manipulation. This vulnerability creates an intense sense of realism to the characters, allowing readers to connect with them on a deeper level. Bree’s resurfacing fears from her encounter with The Hunter adds another layer of suspense as she faces a new, terrifying threat. Will Bree manage to escape unscathed, or will this be her final podcast?

From the first page of the prologue, Killer Callers ensnares you into its intricate web, making the characters feel like old friends. The pacing is expertly managed, with seamless transitions keeping readers fully immersed.

A true master of mystery and plot twists, Daniels will keep you guessing until the very last moment. At one point, I was totally convinced I had one of the perpetrators figured out early on – I was completely wrong! Killer Callers is a narrative brimming with unexpected twists and turns, those jaw-dropping moments you simply won’t see coming. At one point, I found myself ready to throw my tablet and had to regain control knowing I wouldn’t have a way to read if I threw it. What starts as just another episode for Bree, host of a popular true crime podcast, quickly spirals into her most personal—and most dangerous—case yet. Smart, sharp-tongued, and fiercely independent, Bree has built a career on digging into other people’s secrets. But when eerie cassette tapes start showing up, containing cryptic messages and haunting references to her own past, it’s clear someone is digging into hers.

The deeper she investigates, the more the lines blur between her professional persona and the vulnerable woman she’s tried to protect. Bree isn’t just a podcaster with a passion—she’s a survivor. And the caller knows exactly how to shake her.

Daniels delivers a tight, fast-paced thriller with a main character who’s tough but deeply human. Bree’s wit, fear, courage, and complexity make her feel like someone you’d root for—or follow on your favorite podcast app. With high stakes, chilling twists, and an emotional core, Killer’s Callers is suspense done right.

If you love smart female leads, stalker vibes, and psychological suspense with emotional depth—this one’s calling your name.

A Twisty True Crime Thriller aka You Had Me At The Prologue

Bree Turner is back with another chilling case. She’s the voice behind the true crime podcast Minds of a Serial Killer, and she’s about to tackle a string of unusual events starting with the disappearance of Kerry Miller. I'm not saying Kerry deserved to go missing, but Lori said she wrote notes in books. Only monsters write in books. Anyway, something about the case doesn’t sit right with Bree. As she digs in, what she uncovers is a tangled mess of secrets, suspects, and a trail that refuses to go cold. The deeper Bree goes, the more she questions everything, and everyone around her.

Okay, listen. I made it to about 40% before I had to stop and start over with a notebook like I was prepping for a real FBI case. I was in full true crime mode, scribbling down every clue and theory. Four hours and five pages of notes later, I had to laugh, because I was never going to solve this one.

If you're into twisty thrillers where you think you've got it figured out only to be proven totally wrong, you're in for a treat. Killer Callers gave me all the Freida McFadden vibes, especially the feeling of not trusting a single person. I seriously suspected almost every character at one point, even the dog, Buster.

This might be my favorite Elisa D. Daniels book yet, and that's saying something because I adore all her work. Bree is the kind of character I root for and yell at in equal measure. She’s smart, relentless, and so deeply human. Her best friend Lori is a bookstore owner, and I officially need one of those in my life.

The prologue? Absolutely bonkers. It had my jaw on the floor. I remember thinking, “How can it possibly top this?” And then it did. Over and over again.

I also loved how the book gave props to fellow indie authors like Jessica Lynn Sorensen, Brooke Montoya, and Nadija Mujagic. Elisa didn’t just mention them, she worked the reviews into the story in a way that felt natural and super fun. That kind of author love always wins me over.

From the plot to the pacing to the way it kept me guessing until the final chapters, Killer Callers delivered everything I want in a psychological thriller.

The Vibes It Brings:
🧠 True crime podcast energy
📚 Bookish best friend goals
🔪 Suspect everyone vibes
💥 Jaw-dropping prologue
👀 Impossible to predict twists
🎙️ Podcast meets personal danger
💡 Mind games galore
🤯 Major Freida McFadden energy
❤️ Love-hate relationship with the FMC
🫣 That moment when you realize you’re never solving it

I loved every second of this chaotic, brilliant, twist-filled rollercoaster. Bree Turner is back and better than ever. Killer Callers stands on its own even if you haven’t read Killer’s Playlist, but I definitely recommend picking up both. This one had me talking out loud, making wild guesses, and refusing to stop reading until I hit the last page. Absolute must-read for true crime lovers and thriller fans. Thank you to BookSirens and Elisa D. Daniels for the copy of this book. These are my true and honest thoughts.

𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬
In the heart of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Bree hosts a hit podcast that delves into unsolved mysteries, captivating her audience with true stories of baffling enigmas. But things take a dark turn when she begins receiving eerie phone calls—an ominous voice suggesting that the cases she investigates are linked to a past she’s tried to bury. Renowned for her keen intuition and unyielding drive, Bree suddenly finds herself entangled in a terrifying mystery that threatens to upend the life she’s fought to protect.
The situation escalates when cassette tapes start arriving at her doorstep, each one filled with disturbing messages and fragments of a history she’s long avoided. When the tapes begin appearing inside her own home, Bree realizes the threat is far more intimate—someone has breached her sanctuary. As the messages become increasingly personal and sinister, she is forced to face long-suppressed truths. With the danger growing ever closer, Bree races to unmask her tormentor before her hidden past returns—not just to haunt her, but to destroy her.

𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬
Elisa Daniels absolutely brings the heat in Killer Callers, the second book in her Bree Turner series. If you’re into psychological thrillers that mess with your mind (in the best way), this one’s for you.
The story picks up with Bree, who runs a podcast about unsolved mysteries—but this time, the mystery hits way too close to home. Between the creepy phone calls, cassette tapes showing up out of nowhere, and secrets from her past resurfacing, Bree’s life starts unraveling fast. It’s tense, fast-paced, and full of twists that actually catch you off guard.
Daniels has a way of writing that makes you feel like you’re right there in the chaos—holding your breath, flipping pages, and promising yourself just one more chapter (spoiler: it’s never just one). The suspense is real, and Bree is such a sharp, relatable character that you can’t help but root for her the whole way through.
Overall, Killer Callers is a wild ride. It’s gripping, smart, and seriously hard to put down. Whether you read the first book or not, this one stands strong on its own—and it’ll leave you dying to know what happens next in the book.

Killer Callers by Elisa D. Daniels is the sequel to Killers Playlist. A twisty thriller with a true crime vibe, Killer Callers will have you second guessing everything!! You can read this as a standalone novel but I feel like the story and characters (especially Bree) will resonate deeper if you have read Killers Playlist first!

Bree Turner is back once again with her true crime podcast. Based in Chickasha Oklahoma, Bree is the one behind Minds of a Serial Killer. When one day she starts to investigate the disappearance of a young woman, Bree starts to get the feeling that something isn't right with the case. What she finds as she digs deeper is a tangled mess of secrets, lies and more suspects than she could imagine. Then when she begins to receive strange phone calls cassette tapes are turning up inside her house, Bree realizes that someone is watching her every move. Now Bree must go back and revisit her own haunted past before the killer comes calling for her.

Elisa D Daniels has done it again!! Killer Callers was the perfect sequel to the first book, plunging us right back into Bree's chaotic world! This was one of those books where I was 100% certain that I knew what was going on, but I should've realized that Daniels is a plot twist expert and to never trust my own judgement with her books! Bree as our MC is amazing! She is determined, real, smart but flawed and I am here for all of it!! I definitely recommend checking this book out and Killers Playlist as well!!

Publication date is May 19th!!

This was the kind of thriller that grabs you by the collar and refuses to let go. 😮‍💨

Set in Chickasha, Oklahoma, this story follows Bree—a true crime podcaster who makes a living digging into unsolved mysteries. I loved that angle right away. There’s something extra chilling about someone who investigates darkness for a living suddenly becoming the target of it.

The tension builds beautifully from the first strange phone call. What starts as unsettling quickly turns deeply personal. The threatening voice, the mysterious cassette tapes, and then the moment they begin appearing inside her home? Absolute chills. That shift from “this is creepy” to “this is dangerous” was done so well.

Bree is such a compelling main character—sharp, determined, and flawed in a way that makes her feel real. Watching her unravel the connection between the cases she covers and the past she’s tried so hard to bury had me completely hooked. The emotional layers added so much depth to the suspense. This wasn’t just about solving a mystery—it was about confronting trauma, guilt, and secrets that refuse to stay buried.

The pacing is tight, the atmosphere is tense, and the stakes feel terrifyingly real. Every new tape raised the pressure, and I genuinely didn’t know who to trust.

If you love psychological thrillers with creepy clues, personal stakes, and that constant “someone is watching” vibe, this one absolutely delivers. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. 👏

Ate. It. Up. No notes. Thank you to the author and booksirens for the advanced copy for my honest review.

This book comes as a second in a series, and I would highly recommend reading the first prior to reading this one. While it can be done without reading the first, significant portions of the plot will not resonate and will detract from the story. Please read the first book!!!!

What can I say about Bree. She is a mess. I love her. She is a girl who can’t catch a break. She is tough. She is resilient. She never gives up. But girl maybe we need to lay off the cold cases and talking to strangers LOL

Back in action, Bree is determined to keep her podcast series alive and unfolding new discoveries on cold cases. Upon resuming her latest go, a set of eerie phone calls threatening to unveil her past sparks uneasiness in her life. Weirder things start to happen, random people in her life, random packages, random calls. It’s all too sudden.

Then it goes too far—she knows someone has been inside her home. She can’t let it slide anymore and know action has to be taken.

It’s eat or be eaten in this gripping thriller, full of twists and shockers that will keep you turning pages faster than right on red with no traffic coming. You don’t want to miss this one! I need #3 yesterday! 😅

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Elisa has done it again! The second book in the Bree Turner series was just as good as the first! Bree is always seeming to get herself into some trouble and this book was no exception.

Bree has a friend Lori that is her best friend and someone she confides in and she owns a bookstore, she meets a woman named Mackenzie and they exchange telephone numbers, but she gets a weird vibe from her. Something feels off.

Bree meets a man named Austin, they end up hanging out quite a bit and he helps her research information for her podcast. There are more missing girls again, which Bree insists on helping to find them.

There are lots of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, just as the last book. Bree finds herself in another situation that she didn’t see coming. She is betrayed again by the people she thought she could trust. Someone keeps leaving cassette tapes in her house and random things keep happening, but she has no idea how someone is getting into her house with everything locked up.

Bree, again, has to fight for her life.

I was hooked from the first page and read it in one day! Don’t miss this one, Elisa is very talented with her writing. You won’t be disappointed!

Bree's story continues along with her podcast in this riveting thriller. Bree finds herself in a tangled web she nor I saw coming. You learn more about her past as it collides with her present life. Events she thought were buried come back to haunt her.

Bree is a character who is strong willed and independent. She takes whatever life throws at her head on. Her strength helps her navigate through many sticky situations.

I found the book to be easy flowing and a page turner. So much so I couldn't put it down and finished in less than 24 hours. A heed of warning don't read it in the middle of night next to a big sliding glass door with a view of nothing but darkness. You too will be checking for anyone watching you as your heart is pounding against your chest.

I absolutely loved this sequel to Killer's Playlist. I'm hoping the story of Bree is not over, hint hint wink wink.

Thank you for allowing me to be an ARC reader for my honest review.

This book had me on my tip toes from the start. I absolutely love Elisa’s writing! She grabs you in such a way that you don’t want to stop reading til the end.

This is the second book in the series. I wasn’t thinking when I picked this one off my shelf instead of the first book. But I am not disappointed. I am so anxious to start book 1.

Bree is a podcaster who investigates missing persons, and she stumbles upon a case that she can’t seem to let go of, she starts investigating and trying to find out what happened to the missing girl. Through all this she finds out so many secrets that the people closest to her have kept from her because they have a vendetta and are on a mission to destroy Bree.

Who can she trust? Everyone around her seems to be the next person out for her. If you like serial killer thriller type books with found family and with a fierce FMC who will stop at nothing to keep herself and those she cares about safe, then this is the book for you! 10/10 recommend!

I loved this book—and not just because of the shoutout to my own books. I’ve been wanting a sequel ever since I finished Killer’s Playlist, and this one DID NOT disappoint. Once again, Elisa FIRES off twist after twist, keeping me hooked the entire time. I wasn’t sure how she would outdo the first book, but she definitely pulled it off.

This book is perfect for readers who crave fast-paced, twisty thrillers with short, punchy chapters that you won't be able to stop after just one. If you love a good first-person story where you feel like you're inside the character’s mind—piecing together danger alongside them—you’ll be hooked.

Even though it's a sequel... it can be read as a standalone.

I’ve now read six books by this author, and I’ve LOVED every single one.😊

Another fun read from Elisa Daniels! I'm super thankful to have had a chance to read this ARC as I loved getting more of Bree's story.

Just like in Killer's Playlist, Bree once again finds herself intertwined in the dark secrets of her past. As she works on a new case for her serial killer podcast she starts getting tapes dropped off at her home. A mysterious caller also threatens to spill some of Bree's secrets live on the air.

Who is this mystery caller? Can she trust the new people who have recently entered her life? Why does she always seem to be surrounded by danger?

If you enjoy quick chapters and a fast paced thriller, I highly suggest you check out this series about Bree. Killer Callers will be releasing later in May.

I received Killer Callers by Elisa Daniels as an ARC for free and I'm leaving this review voluntarily! It's also the sequel to Killer's Playlist, I personally recommend reading that first.

Killer Callers is full of twists and shady people. Bree's Serial killer podcast once again puts Bree in danger as she investigates a woman's disappearance, bodies start piling up. I enjoyed reading this! My gut told me a character was suspicious, but I couldn't figure out why. My gut was right! Elisa weaves other suspicious characters into the story and keeps you guessing how they fit into the chaos going on in Bree's life! 5 stars!

Killer Callers picks up with Bree settling back into life after the events of Killer’s Playlist. Continuing her crime podcast, we follow Bree investigating a disappearance of a young lady, who the police don’t seem too concerned about.

It was fun seeing the next step in Daniels series with Bree Turner. The writing style is simple but the twists are good. If you like popcorn thrillers like Freida McFadden, then Killer Callers is a great book for you! 3/5

**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Couldn’t Put It Down!**

Absolutely gripping from start to finish! This book had me hooked from the first creepy phone call to the final, chilling twist. Bree is a smart, relatable main character, and the way the mystery unfolds through cassette tapes and hidden secrets kept me turning pages late into the night.

Elisa does it again.

Continuing her podcast, the minds of a serial killer, Bree begins investigating several new cases on the podcast. Encouraging callers with more information to reach out to the show, Bree also begins getting a string of threatening, harassing, and unsettling phone calls. They seem to know the secrets about her past she's tried hard to forget. Soon cassette tapes start arriving at her home, each with evidence of what she's tried to leave behind her. As the messages become increasingly personal and intimidating, danger lurks closer and closer. Can Bree figure out who is sending them to her before the past catches up to her?

This is my second Bree Turner book and I was pleasantly surprised again by the plot and the characters. Bree continues her podcast but with Jeff gone, she's alone this time. Her past comes back to haunt her and she finds a sister she never knew she had. But like last time, Bree learns not everyone around her is who they seem to be.

Wildly confused about how this book has such a high rating, I feel like I read a whole different book. It’s written like a middle schooler’s wattpad story. It’s repetitive. It’s predictable. It’s knotted and confusing. It has good ideas but the execution just was notttt there for me
