E ancora peggio?
This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Ember Leigh!
Make Me Choose is the fourth book in the Bayshore series and tells the story of Nova and Weston.
Make Me Choose is already the fourth book in the Bayshore series and it was another amazing read! Every book in the Bayshore series is so good and well written, and this one wasn’t an exception. I really liked the story and I just had to know what was going to happen to the characters.
I really liked the characters in Make Me Choose. Most books are about skinny girls, or skinny girls with curves, so it was nice to read about a ‘real’ curvy girl for once. Nova is such a fun character, I loved her personality and her passion for photography. I really liked Weston because he’s really cute and I loved that he sees Nova as beautiful and not fat. Nova and Weston are such a good match because they have more or less the same passions and the same personality.
Make Me Choose was another great read by Ember Leigh and I didn’t expect anything else. Ember Leigh is an amazing author and I love all of her books. Make Me Choose is a lighthearted read and I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend the Bayshore series and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!
-Book 4 of the Daly Brothers series. All standalones but you should read them in order if you plan to read more than one -M/F -No cheating -low angst -enemies to lovers -steamy scenes -some laugh out loud moments
While this wasn’t a bad book, it definitely wasn’t my favorite out of the series. None of the books have lived up to the first book, in my opinion. While it was a cute, light read, there was something about the dialogue in this book I just didn’t personally like. It almost seemed a little... childish? For example, our main character says “I tinkled” referring to using the restroom. There was a few other phrases that just rubbed me the wrong way, I should have highlighted them so I could reference back, but anyways, childish dialogue is definitely what I kept thinking. Or maybe corny is a better word? Anyways, the angst level was super low. Guy ghosts her towards the end and then he comes back and she literally just jumps back into his arms, no big deal. I almost felt like I NEEDED more drama lol the steamy scenes were decent but didn’t get me all hot and bothered. There was definitely some laugh out loud moments but I eventually got back to the feeling of things being a little childish.
It was free through Kindle Unlimited so for that it gets 3 stars.
Enjoyed reading Weston and Nova's story. It was a great enemies-to-lovers book with low angst but great banter and wonderful snark. The characters were well developed, and I felt their circumstances rung true. I have enjoyed all 4 books that I have read so far in this series and am looking forward to the rest. I would highly recommend the series to others.
4.5 ⭐️ One of the more convincing romances I’ve read lately. So much of the characters emotions seemed real, with just enough backstory to explain their hesitations within the romance. Only deducting half a point because I don’t think this will necessarily be a book I continue to think about for weeks and/or remember after 5 years.
This is my favorite of the Bayshore series and will be hard to top (although most of it doesn't even take place close to Bayshore)! Weston, the 2nd youngest Daly brother, is in Aruba for a wedding and Nora, the bride's best friend and wedding photographer, is also there. The problem is the two of them are quite prickly with each other - although they both secretly find the other attractive. Nora is curvier and is the first leading lady to really talk about confidence/body image issues. The banter between Nora and Weston is fantastic and their hook ups are steamy. This is another book that had me saying "just one more chapter" well past when I should have been sleeping.
Make Me Choose would have to be my absolute favourite in the series so far. Sir Weston and Princess Nova are two characters that had you rolling around on the floor laughing with the banter and snarky comments. The push and pull between these two held you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry, attraction and passion that ignites between Nova and Weston would light up the sky on the darkest of nights. Their story had me enamoured from the very beginning and enchanted right to the very end. A love story with plenty of ups and downs that had you guessing as to which way this would play out. The flirting, heat and sensuality between Nova and Weston will heat you up and keep you warm on the coldest of nights. Make Me Choose was like witnessing a spectacular sunrise, it made me happy, gave me goosebumps and had me wanting to appreciate it over and over again.
OMG I loved this book. The banter and snark between Nova and Weston is just priceless and makes the comedy something that I believe is what eventually drew them together. I love how he kept hitting on her and she basically had no clue. It might have taken four years to finally get it right but it sure was worth the wait. Them fighting it was the best part. Weston helping Nova to believe in herself and that she could do whatever makes her happy was just the sweetest thing. It might have taken him longer to realize he loved her, but it did win out in the end.
I received this ARC in advance for an honest review
Weston is the wandering Daly brother - travel blogger and nomad. Nova is suffocating under the weight of her family's debt and expectations. They crossed paths multiple times but their friends' wedding marks the turning point in their relationship. Like his brothers in the prior books, Weston wrestles with ignoring his father's expectations and competing with his brothers to find his way personally and professionally. Weston and Nova have crazy chemistry. I wanted to smack Weston in the head but I loved that Nova stuck to her guns. At times they were both immature but they're such a fun couple you can't help but root for them.
This book had a different feel to it than the previous books in this series and I liked it. I was drawn to the characters. This has been a fun family to get invested in. They are all so unique, in their own right, and show how powerful a strong family connection is.
This author has been a surprise since I discovered her. For anyone that hasn't read her books before, I encourage them to do so because they won't be disappointed.
I have to admit this was a FUN book. The island setting was perfect and the romance flowed so well. Did they fall in four days? Yes and no. They have a back story, running into each other all over the world and their friends are clearly friends (since they’re both in the wedding party), so even though this is the longest they’ve been near each other, they clearly weren’t strangers.
And their chemistry had obviously been simmering for the entire four years.
I really liked that Nova was a plus sized girl and I really appreciated the author highlighting how deep big girl trauma can run. The constantly questioning of someone is attracted to you, the idea that someone really good looking couldn’t be into you because of your size, the belief that if you get a compliment it must be someone fucking with you. It’s all real, and hard to get past, and fucking sucks. And Leigh handled it so beautifully in this book.
Nova and Weston were also adorable together. Like could not have been more perfect.
My two big criticisms: we get a lot of hints of past problems/trauma/relationship hang ups, but we’re left without a lot of answers, some of which never even get conveyed to other characters (Nova never once mentions to Weston the past boyfriend who cheated on her apparently? And we don’t ever get the full story about him.) Or like the deal with the necklace/inheritance? Maybe that’s mentioned in a different book but in this one, totally clueless.
I also think… maybe there definitely could have been more groveling on Weston’s part. He said some AWFUL things before he left and then completely ghosted her, nary even a goodbye and Nova is all “totes fine let’s get to work!” Seems a little out of character for a girl who has literally spent the whole book showing us how deeply her past trauma affects her.
But over all I really liked this book. I think I might even pick up the rest of the series.

Ember Leigh's "Make Me Choose," book #4 of the Bayshore series, was a sweet, funny enemies-to-lovers romance featuring likeable, well-developed characters and an engaging plot. A few characters from earlier books in the series made cameo appearances in this one, but even so, it worked as a standalone, so readers who haven't yet been introduced to the delightful Daly family can easily start with this one.
Much like his older brothers, the male lead character of "Make Me Choose," Weston Daly, was quite handsome and charming. After spending the last few years trying to build his brand as an Instagram influencer, Weston was at a crossroads in his career and trying to figure out how to take the next step forward. His sweet, relatable, and at times endearingly awkward love interest, Nova, was also at a crossroads in her career and trying to figure out how to make a change when she ran into Weston at a mutual friend's destination wedding in Aruba. Sparks flew from the first moment they saw each other, but it took some time before Nova was convinced that Weston was more than just a shallow playboy. Their banter along the way was a lot of fun, and I loved watching them discover their mutual interests in travel and photography. There were a few big obstacles standing in the way of their HEA, but I found it very easy to root for them to figure out their problems and end up together.
Overall, I loved "Make Me Choose" and highly recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I am very much looking forward to the fifth and final book in the Bayshore series, starring youngest brother Maverick Daly, later this year!

In this 4th book of the Bayshore series, it's all about the next to youngest son, Weston. He's kind of a world traveler who writes stories about his destinations. Now he is in Aruba getting ready to stand up for one of his best friends edding that he met during his travels. Only Weston is surprised when he sees a gorgeous, curvy redhead that he's run into three times before during his travels and they cannot stand one another.
Nova is here to take pictures for one of her best friend's wedding. She just noticed the gorgeous and most frustrating man she has ever met, Weston Daly. They have met before and there is just something about him that absolutely aggravates her. If only she could find a man that looks like him but had a totally different personality then she could easily fall for him.
These two go for the jugular every time they get together. Honestly, some really good ribbing going on. Then it's not funny anymore. They start seeing things about the other person they just didn't see before or expect.
Oh goodness how things changed. The heat between them was combustible. So much to learn about them both and their situations at home and what finally brought them together.
Great story, once again. Ready to read the 5th and final Daly brother's story. Enjoy
This book had me roaring with laughter! The banter was absolutely some of the best I have ever read in a book. So creative and hilarious.
This is the first book I’ve read by Ember Leigh and I am an instant fan. She solidifies why the enemies to lovers trope has quickly become my favorite romance trope as it is just so much fun to read. Honestly everything about this book was perfect. From the unique characters, to the complete and total awkwardness of the situations they find themselves in, as well as the underlying depths of said characters. All of it makes it so difficult to put the book down.
Reading Weston and Nova’s stories develop separately and together was an absolute delight. Nova was an incredible heroine, possibly my favorite I have ever come across. She is someone who I could relate to personally, everything she was feeling and thinking I have experienced at one point or another in my life. It means so much to me that there are authors out there that represent woman of all shapes and sizes.
I truly enjoyed EVERY single page of this book. It will not disappoint so I highly recommend you give a read.

Heading to a destination wedding in Aruba gives two “enemies”, who have been secret admirers of each other for years, a chance to find out the truth about each other. Nova is such a fun character with a great personality and expressive passion for what she loves -- for now, let’s say her photography. Weston Daly is one of the good guys because, beyond his looks and charm, he is able to see Nova for the beautiful person she is and knows what is matters and, even more important, he is willing to help her believe in herself. They had a struggle to get to the mindset they needed, but watching them get to know each other and realize their common interests was delightful fun for the reader and is not to be missed!
This book is filled with laughs and love, humorous banter, and serious moments. Grab your copy and enjoy their experiences in finding they had more in common than they knew, and that getting to know each other was actually fun. When they finally realize what they have in the other person, are they willing to walk away from that? Or are they committed to each other and ready for a HEA?
Nova is on her way to Aruba for her best friend Amelia’s wedding. She looking for a break from life where family debt and crappy jobs don’t matter for a bit. Weston is also attending the wedding and dealing with his own struggle. He’s a social media influencer who’s career is basically fizzling out and feel family pressure to be the best. Weston and Nova have bumped into each on trips over the last four years. They don’t really get along unless they are bickering with one another. Then things heat up when they realize it’s mutual attraction not annoyance that keeps them going at each other. Aruba has become their happy place filled with sunrises, beaches, flamingos and each other. But when they get an amazing offer they both have to make a choice if that’s really what they want. It’s such a good book. Poor Nova has so many moments that you can’t help laughing at. There are stalking flamingos, flower thievery and wild pig wedding packages. There is no shortness on laughter, steamy and happily ever after. It’s definitely a must read.

Weston and Nova cant stand each other evertime they meet theres sparks and not the good kind there both relatively young hes and Instagram influence hes been places hes handsome cheeky mite even say a bit of a player Nova on the other hand is a photographer going from one useless job to another trying to help bail her grandmother out of debt. But in Aruba there iritation turns to passion and angst lots of laughter between these two. But when the outside shaters there bubble and a job offer happens it will effect them both is 6 weeks enough time to start a future with when your both in separate places or maybe your not. So im giving it 3.4 stars its just my personal opinion that some of the dialogue sounded younger then 20 something I was on the fence as to understand why Nova was having to be responsible for her family's debt it didn't really make since and her and Weston didn't seem compatable at times so thats the reason for my rating.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
OMG I love Weston and Nova's story!!! Very different from Grayson, Connor, and Dom's stories and I absolutely loved it ❤
Both Weston and Nova thought they were nothing special, nothing to brag about; but they are both amazing characters! And not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited there was a Laney character in this book! (Even of it's spelled wrong - my phone is even saying its wrong!)
Their story is fun, light hearted, and intense all in one.... they knew each other for 4 years and were secretly attracted to each other - who knew being at their best friends' wedding would change everything... between them as well as their own lives 🥰
You did it again Ember... cannot wait for Maverick's turn!!!
Nova and Weston have been running into each other for years and don’t get along. Now they are in Aruba for the wedding of each of their best friends. Nova chose to be the photographer in lieu of bridesmaid for her best friend and Weston is a groomsmen for his best friend. Aruba is different for these two and their dislike turns to passion. There is lots of snark and funny situations to keep you laughing. There are also some heartfelt moments where you learn the fears and self doubt each carry. Of course there is plenty of heat! This is book 4 of the series with one brother left to read about. You can read them as stand-alone, but the series is worth reading!

This is the fourth book in Ember Leigh's Bayshore series and it is a great book I loved. It's a fast paced stand alone book and is a funny sweet enemies to lovers book that features Weston and Nova. They are both heading to a destination wedding in Aruba which gives the two enemies of each other who have been secret admires of each other a chance to see the truth about each other. It's a fun filled red with plenty of humorous banter, laughs, passion and love.

Gosh this romantic comedy is a testitmate to the great writing of the author Nova and Weston keep bumping into each other on their travels, unknown to them their angst towards each other is their hidden mutual attraction. It is not until they are at the same wedding in Aruba that they figure it out. To bad the career problems they were both having changes with offers and that may tear them apart. Funny banter Wild pigs Flamingo madness And alot if steamy moments

The writing will draw you in after only a few pages and have you finishing the book in one sitting. There is the perfect amount of angst and romance and grit to keep you hooked.
I loved how their relationship unfolded so we could see these amazing characters grow in ways you never expected. I would suggest picking up a copy asap, you will not be disappointed.

If you’re a fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope, this book deffs has that vibe ! While it follows a familiar pattern the other books in the Bayshore series , it’s the kind of easy-to-read, feel-good story that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The tropical romance setting adds a refreshing twist, bringing a vibrant and sun-soaked atmosphere to the narrative.the Daly brothers are all weirdly the same haha but hay again I’m here for easy reads
This might be my favorite Bayshore book yet! Weston and Nova have a enemies to lovers vibe. Neither is overly fond of the other until they get to know each other during a destination wedding in Aruba. I absolutely adore Weston. He is so unbelievablely sweet. He is a wanderer and never stays in one place for long. His panic when faced with his future is more relatable than I care to admit. This book completely ripped my heart out and put it back together ❤️
3.5 but I did decide to round up! Weston was a bit bland, but I do like how they connected. The angst at the end definitely felt forced and out of character But I generally felt the pacing was good and the spicy scenes spiced (though why was there so much crying??? hahaha)
Would definitely consider reading another book by this author!
Make Me Choose by Ember Leigh is a fun, flirty enemies-to-lovers romance set at a tropical destination wedding. Nova, a plus-sized photographer, and Weston, a charming playboy influencer, are forced to spend the week together—and sparks fly fast. Between witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and a touch of heartfelt vulnerability, this story blends humor, heat, and self-acceptance beautifully. A light, feel-good read with body positivity and just the right amount of spice!
This book was absolute perfection!! The MC of Weston and Nova were such absolute complements for each other and the hilarious back-and-forth dialogue between them had me in stitches! Every book in this series just keeps getting better and better! So very well done, Ms. Leigh!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
It is not surprising that two people with strong emotions towards one another, especially when they recognize the attraction but want to fight it would have a raucous courtship that made for an enjoyable story.

I enjoyed Weston and Nova's journey, they were made for each other. Yeah, they had their issues but these two, they were good for one another. Their attraction was strong, they were drawn to each other, their chemistry was sexy, they were great together. This was a good story. Thanks, Ember Leigh. Good work :)
