But when an old flame reenters Emily’s life, temptation becomes tangible—and Ben must face just how much he truly wants to share her.
Sharing Emily is a raw, uninhibited exploration of cuckold desires, wife-sharing fantasies, and the erotic power of trust and surrender. Intense, emotional, and filthy in all the right ways—this is one night you won’t forget.

He asked if she missed being reckless. He had no idea what she’d say.

Firstly, the two stars are for the story not the writing.
I’ve enjoyed other books in this series but not this one. The wife’s transition from wife and mother to cuckoldress was just incongruous to the initial setup. Same for the husband’s change from a man to chastity caged cuckold.
It starts out nicely with a wife confiding in her husband that she sometimes thinks of what other men would be like in bed. After some teasing with her husband it comes to realization what a turn on it can be. He begins to think about her fantasy. Then she gets a message from an old lover, and that gets her thinking of what might be. She again teases her hubby, but with a real name to put to the fantasy. After some fun with hubby, they agree that he might want to let her proceed. That is when the fun takes off! I enjoy the give and take of the situation they go through to get where they need to end up. Maybe the wife can be convincing when she wants to in any marriage, but this wife got what she was after. She leads the way in taking her husband on the journey whether he wanted to get there or not. The one thing about the book it gets redundant as if changes from one point of view to the other point of view (Husband telling story, then Wife telling story). I really enjoyed the last couple of chapters and how she teases Ben about not being as big as Jace. And the Epilog was a marvelous ending making you want more and how Emily takes control of Ben and where it will lead. I wish I could share their adventures further.
This is a wild story of spicy up a marriage with a possible third person. Emily and Ben have been married for some time. Emily misses her wild side. When Jace comes back into her life, he may become part of Ben and Emily's life. This is a steamy hot read.

Sharing Emily is the second book in the Shared Wives series. This story is about Ben and Emily, a married couple who are about to go on a wild experience when she tells him a naughty fantasy. When Emily confesses to Ben that she fantasies about being with another man it sets them on a path to discovery and opening up their marriage to other desires.
This was sexy as hell, but in some ways I didn’t like it. The ending sort of put my dislikes together with it being sexy. Maybe that explained it all, maybe not.
Before the ending I thought that this was one sexy story, but not a marriage that was going to last.
You see she wasn’t honest with her husband about all the conversation she had with her lover before the act. She also lied to her boss about her trip to LA to meet her lover.
That sure didn’t feel like a relationship that was going to end happily. She was going to get what she wanted regardless of how it happened.
Then when the penultimate scene occurred in their bedroom I thought there was some writing that didn’t fit.
In that scene at times it seemed to portray how much she and her lover had missed this. How much all that they had done before she was married was brought back to life.
The problem was that this was occurring after she had flown to LA to spend 3 days with him. It would seem that those new feelings would have been tempered by who knows how many sex acts they already had in LA. This was no longer new. But maybe all of that was just to make her husband feel good.
Minor complaint, maybe. But it took something away from me.
Now comes some spoiler points, so go read the book before proceeding here. And here’s a paragraph of gobbledygook to encourage you to read the book before anymore of this.
But back to the ending. The fact that she puts him in chastity and has invited her lover and another friend to have sex with her, without discussing it with her husband first, does correlate with my initial feeling that the relationship wouldn’t last.
But it twists the idea on its head. The marriage relationship may last because he becomes totally subservient to her. She’s totally controlling his sexual experience. If he’s happy, I guess the marriage might last.
But I don’t think it was fair of the author to end like that. After all during all of the relationship that we read about, including when she’s having sex with her lover, she is constantly talking about how she is so appreciative that her husband gave her the opportunity to have her lover.
Much about how she was so happy with both men. How much she enjoyed watching her husband come undone and having to stroke himself as she was being taken. A whole opinion that she loved him dearly and so happy that he gave this to her.
They talked all about how important discussion and honesty was for this to work. So much for that on her side.
The ending was fitting in many ways, but if the author was going to throw that out, we should have heard much more about it.
It’s still a very sexy story, but too much of the story was challenging.
I didn’t want to give this just 3 stars, because it was so sexy, but I couldn’t do 3.5 stars, so I decided that it had to be a 4, but feeling unhappy about it.
Emily and Ben have been married for twelve (mostly) happy years—“‘Feels like six months,’ he said. ‘Or sixty years, depending on the day.’” But they both know marriage and family has created a toned-down version of the woman he once described as “chaos in heels.” The serendipitous intersection of some late-night bedroom fantasy sharing and an out-of-the-blue DM from an old boyfriend unleashes the desires Emily has worked so carefully to bury. To both their surprise, Ben is into the idea of seeing Em with another man…really into it.
What I find so interesting is that each story presents how a couple is affected and changed by their first hotwife experiences. Here, the topic of “reclaiming” plays a central role as the couple comes back together stronger after each experience. Ben and Emily find that living out this shared fantasy shifts the dynamics of their relationship and injects both it and each of them with new energy. Quite fascinating. Very hot.
This is the second of Raven Merlot’s Sharing Wives series that I’ve read and enjoyed. The writing is experienced, sharp, and the slow-build tension is perfect to keep you reading well past bedtime. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I am a huge fan of Raven's first books in the series, Sharing Rachel, Sarah, and Vivian. Their stories were full of love, respect, and communication. Sadly, I did not catch that in Sharing Emily.
One evening Ben asks his wife Emily if she missed being reckless. As luck would have it her ex-lover Jace contacts her and sets off a chain of events for her to hook up with him. They begin sending racy texts and photos and Ben takes a nude video of her. She travels to LA, without Ben, for a weekend of sex with Jace. She refuses to let her husband touch her till she returns, and she lies to her boss to get her company to pay for the trip. Later Jace comes to their house and has marathon filthy sex while Ben watches. There is plenty of humiliation and cuckolding. It ends with Emily purchasing a male chastity cage for Ben.
None of this was sharing but rather surrendering. Vivian openly texted with Jace in front of Ben, keeping the information from her husband. She lied about her activities to get what she wanted. Ben did not share Vivian, he merely watched as she was taken from him.

Hot, hot, hot! And then some more hot. Love for his wife caused him to ask a question that took them on a very sensual journey. Turns out the fmc and the mmc loved the fantasy she had and together made it a reality. She was determined and he loved her enough to trust her. I loved the way they were honest with each other and she told him everything. They communicated perfectly.
I was sooo into this story and couldn’t wait to see what happened next. And, I was quite pleased with the ending, because I didn’t want their story to end. I loved this read and would recommend it.

The book got off to a good start and I really got into it but it started to slow down and there was a lot more psychological involvement instead of physical involvement. I have never been in a situation where I have shared somebody and had other people watch so I'm not too clued up on the Psychological aspect of that sort of relationship. And the ending in my opinion was a bit of a letdown as I was expecting a threesome but they didn't get into one. The book is well written I will say that and the storyline is very believable and I didn't give up so I finished reading the book.

This book is about Emily and Ben, married for twelve years when Ben asks if Emily misses her wilder days. Ben asks Emily to tell him something she's never told him before. At first she's going to give him a fluff answer, then she opens up with a fantasy she's had for awhile. Emily gets a DM from an old flame, Jace. She shows it to Ben and fantasy here we come. The story takes us through the beginnings of Emily's journey with Ben's offering and witnessing her opening herself up to total freedom.

Wow! If this is an accurate photo of Emily, I couldn’t do it! Hot as fuck story, but seeing the whole picture how Emily was embracing her sluttiness and her whole finishing touch, trying and succeeding in chastising her husband was, I felt, a bit too much.🤷♂️ I mean he’d already given her free rein to screw an old boyfriend and she obviously relished it; why the fuck would she was to harness him in a cock cage?
This is not normally a subgenre I read. I got this off of Booksprout for a fair review. It was an interesting concept of people exploring the Shared Wives/Hotwife fantasy. It was ok. Wish there had been some more spice.
Since I usually don't read this theme....am not sure if I would read another in the same genre, though the author writes very well.
