A mysterious island, a tribe of lovely monster gals, and a fight for survival.
Troy Thunder, ex-US Secret Service, finds himself stuck on a mysterious island with nothing more than a knife and the shirt on his back. To survive, his skills will be put to the test.
Overall the story was good. The women were great and the ending leaves some suspense for the next book. I don't know if it was an editing decision or mistake, but everytime the author used the word "continuing" it had a capital I like "contInuing". Literally every time. The capital I appeared sporadically in the middle of other words as well.
I got 52 pages into this book, and knew it was not for me.
The MC is an apparently disgraced former Secret Service agent who is now working for a billionaire that he can't stand as the head of security. They are on a flight when some vortex thing rips the plane apart, and he eventually swims/washes ashore on an island. An island that only has beast-girls inhabiting it. They call themselves Amazonians, as there are zero men present, and hasn't had a single man there in over 20 years. Needless to say, they are soon drooling all over the MC, and the challenge level for him getting a harem is in the negative hundreds.
The book blurb was quite short, so I didn't realize this would be a low effort "no other men around so it's like fishing with dynamite" approach to harem. Something I really don't like. Once I was sure that was the case, I walked away from this book.
It was a different take on an Isekai and very entertaining. I look forward to the next book and more from the author. The series is a great time killer.
You know before this book I've never heard of these authors before. But I have to say that I am looking forward to reading more of their stories. This was really a neat offshoot
