You know who’s just my type? Noah Wyles. This man is freaking immaculate. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. And I sat I awe of the actual talent Sam has shown in writing this series so far.
If you’ve read the first two books, you know we’ve been building to this. Noah and Hannah. The golden retriever and the black cat who wants nothing to do with him. Until he helps break down all her walls and retract her claws just enough to let herself be happy, find her place, and become part of the family that was hers all along. Next to Julie, Hannah is Sam’s most relatable FMC for me personally, and to see her growth and acceptance that she’s more than she gave herself credit for was really something special.
And I need an acknowledgement to Cece, who is a whole delight of her own, the grandma of everyone’s dreams.

OK, no i am OBSESSED! Noah and Hannah are my favourite in the series! I just.... GAHHHHHH I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH! Everything about this book! I never, ever wanted it to end. It's the type of book that has you melting into a puddle from swooning. If I could bottle the feelings this book gave me i would. I am so so so excited for them to be out in the world. Thank you to Samantha for the arc.

Samantha can do no wrong in my eyes, honestly. Her men just hit different and Noah... Noah baby is top TIER. These Wyles brothers are superior and I will never be over them. Never Ever.
Noah is the definition of a Golden Retriever. He was hooked on Hannah the moment he met her 3 years ago and felt protective of her instantly. Now that she is in Boston, it was like fate brought them together. The entire Vegas trip CRACKED me up and his response to the accidental marriage was fantastic.
Hannah has SO much growth in this book. I'm not usually a fan of black cats but she was more like a black kitten because she honestly just liked bantering with Noah as opposed to being just a straight b*itch. I loved the banter. I ATE it up. But she also had such a soft side to her that was so beautiful to see. Noah wasn't the only swoony one here, Hannah had major swoon to her and HER mouth gave Noah a run for his money 🫵😘
Bottom line is, Noah is superior book boyfriend material and I will be devastated when this series is over 🫠

I have been waiting for Hannah and Noah since the first book and they were every bit as perfect as I knew they would be!
Noah Wyles is the greenest of green flags and he has been obsessed with Hannah pretty much since the moment they met. Hannah is a romance author and in the middle of a bad case of writer’s block due to her horrible ex. When Noah finds out he jumps at the chance to help her and show her the way a real man should treat his woman. He is patient and understanding and truly sees her even when she does everything she can to keep things hidden. He also knows when he needs to push her out of her comfort zone and to see past the lies she was told.
Hannah is fierce, smart, and talented and trying to rebuild her life after her past relationship left her questioning everything, including herself. She has her walls stacked sky high. Thankfully Noah is more than happy to scale them and give Hannah all the love she deserves!
Hannah and Noah’s chemistry is there from the start and slowly grows throughout the book until it’s a raging inferno! When they finally give in to their attraction it is so so hot! They also have the best banter! Noah loves her sass and reminds her that she’s perfect just the way she is. They feel an innate safety with each other that allows them to be vulnerable and it builds the most beautiful foundation for the relationship they both so deeply deserve!
We all know at this point that Sam writes the best found family! The Wyles’ are the family everyone wants to be a part of. Their banter is hilarious. The way they support and rally around each other is so sweet. And of course as per usual Cece steals the show, especially when Hannah’s ex shows up! If I’m not at least a little like Grandma Cece when I get older I’m failing at life!

Flash forward to the present, Hannah has uprooted her life and came to Boston. She’s living in an apartment in a brownstone owned by Noah’s family. Once a successful writer, Hannah has been struggling to write since he break up with Brett and doesn’t know if she’ll ever get it back.
Noah has been drawn to Hannah since the day he met her, but she was in a relationship and he was never able to shoot his shot. Now that she’s in Boston and single he hopes he might get his chance.
When the gang travels to Vegas for a joint bachelor/ bachelorette party, Noah & Hannah wind up drinking together and wake up the next day married to one another. They hide their marriage from everyone and plan to have it annulled when they get back to Boston.

I absolutely adored these two and everything about this book. The care that Noah showed Hannah was top notch and I absolutely loved all the side characters! FBI was my first Samantha Brinn novel and it will not be my last !

this book was so wonderful to read!! This one was easily my favorite of this series so far! Hannah was so amazing as a character, and her strength and determination to find the life she loves and wants, after living in such a toxic environment, was so incredible to watch! The way she allowed herself to accept the past, start healing and moving forward, and accept the love of her friends and family (and Noah) was absolutely beautiful to watch through the book! And Noah was a wonderful MMC, with how he set aside the time off between jobs, recognizing what his mental health might need, was such a real and raw thing! I loved how he accepted Hannah's vulnerabilities and even felt comfortable enough sharing his own with her, and gave her a safe place to land and feel comfortable in opening up to love! These two were absolute perfection, and I just loved their connection and their journey so much!! And we got so much time with all of the Wyles which was just a blast! Not to mention, the Pittsburgh crew and all of their shenanigans!! I really loved this book on the whole, and I cannot wait to be able to drool over Cooper's book!! 5 stars; 3.25 chili peppers

Well, adding yet another Wyles brother to my book boyfriend list. Sam sure knows how to write them. Noah Wyles is the most golden retriever man ever. He was the absolutely sweetest to Hannah and been head over heels from afar for years.
One hell of an accidental Vegas marriage and I loved every second. Their wild night of karaoke and then the morning after had me laughing. Noah was ecstatic while Hannah was like WTF? But not for long. All the swooning and MY. WIFE. He just couldn’t help it!
The way Noah was exactly what Hannah needed to bring her back to her badass self and show her how she should be treated and loved.
Also, always snag you a man that will keep your favorite treat in his pocket, just in case.
Again, another banger from Miss Sam. I absolutely love the found family in this series and love seeing everyone in each book. The way all these Wyles men are down bad for their ladies. Also, mama Pam, and grandma Cece are always there with the wisdom

Samantha, please, I need more of your writing. Never stop sharing your stories <3 Hannah & Noah's story was everything from the romance writer on the run to Noah being the greenest green flag ever. This man reads her books, bakes for her every day, and is doing everything to help her during her blank page moments. It was a pleasure meeting Hannah after enjoying Jo's story (still need to go through Hallie's story, but don't worry, her time will come), the sisters are like two sides of the same coin, so different but so complementary. I don't know how Samantha does it, but the interconnected part of her series is what I love the most (as well as Cece, cause she's the grandma giving the most main character energy ifkyk)

This was my first read by Samantha Brinn; so I can attest that this can be read standalone, but they are definitely interconnected and I think you'll get more out of them knowing all the characters. I'm definitely adding the others to my TBR.

This book was fun but wasn't a four star because ultimately the characters lacked depth. Noah was too perfect. There was literally nothing wrong with him. While Hannah is dealing with getting over an abusive relationship, I didn't really feel the conflict or her growth as a charcter from closed off to open to love. And, what was the impetus to the marriage? Even if you're drunk, what put in your heads -- let's get married. That felt missing to me to connect the dots.

You can just name me the unofficial president of the Samantha Brinn fan club! Once again Sam has knocked it out of the park. I have been waiting for Hannah and Noah and they were perfection.
Noah is the perfect golden retriever. He’s been obsessed with romance author Hannah for three years and jumps at a chance to help her get out of a writing slump. Noah is perfect at giving Hannah what she needs and pushing her when she needs it. Hannah is fierce but she’s able to be soft with Noah.
Sam just knows how to write the perfect found family. I wish I could be apart of the Wyles family. The way they are always there for each other and rally behind each other is so sweet! Grandma Cece is probably my favorite character, hands down!
This series is so good and I’m excited for Cooper’s book next!

Noah was like the male version of Jo, and damn, I loved it. The way that man had an answer for every question was hilarious and cute. The man he was 🛐- he was not only gone for Hannah, but he paid attention to all her reactions, was respectful of her wants, and most of all protective in the most golden retriever way. He was adorable, but if someone tried to harm her, he made sure to show his teeth. The way he volunteered to be her muse was so attractive, especially considering how much she needed it but couldn't ask.
It was bliss reading Hannah go soft for him; it was freaking inevitable, but I devoured each second. That man was one good man.
The way I screamed every time Noah kissed any part of her before their relationship was insane—like, how was cheek, hand, forehead, knuckle kiss so attractive?
I absolutely died when they first kissed, like OMFG wow. Talk about a steamy first kiss!!
The accidental Vegas wedding trope was spot-on for Noah and Hannah, especially with the way she reacted and how elated our man was post-fiasco.
I loved the way he kept calling her wife constantly; it never failed to bring a smile to my face. Our man was smitten, and he didn't even hide it; rather, he flaunted it
Hannah was so strong. She was the reserved Evan sister, who found it hard to open up, but the way she felt so much, so silently, highlighted her personality. She was sassy, but it was all hidden until Noah challenged her, and damn, those moments were the best.
Hannah and Noah's story was so beautiful. Their bond grew gradually; it went from one-sided attraction to so much more. Their banter, top-notch!! Reading Hannah become her old self with Noah was what made their bond even more special. I loved reading all their moments together, the spicy and non-spicy ones—they were so good together.
The spice was so good, especially the book recreation scene, like OMFG NOAHH!! I loved how, during that scene, he was so observant, thoughtful, and considerate. DAMN, I loved him.
The classic window calling scene made me smile so brightly, like only Noah could pull it off and make it ten times sweeter and more attractive.
I swooned so hard when I saw him follow the steps of his older brothers—being observant and a simp for his women—because him carrying Twizzlers in his blazer for her during Jo and Jordan's wedding was darn adorable.
Jo and Jordan's wedding scene made me cry because why the hell was it so perfect? Especially the brothers' moment.
I screamed at the "my wife" moment because, ahhh, Noah, saying those words was so hot!!
The way Hannah stood up against her ex made me feel so proud of her that I cried a little. Seeing her be the strong woman she is made me so happy.
I admired how Noah consistently respected Hannah's wishes. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for him to hold back his feelings for so long just to make sure she felt safe, comfortable, and ready for the next step.
When the confession came, it was perfectly timed and beautifully executed. I loved it. It was passionate and fit the Noah-Hannah dynamic perfectly.
Side characters and plot -
* Cece was the best. In the previous book, she played her iconic role, but here you saw her in her element the most, and I loved that scene between her and Hannah - it was just perfect. Her response to Hannah's ex (iykyk) was iconic, QUEEN behaviour.
* The girls' bond, especially with the addition of Hallie, was wholesome. I love a strong female group.
* I lived for the family moments; Pam was THE best mother.
* Cameos of other characters from the 'Laws of You' made me want to read that series next - each character was so interesting.

The final chapters were chef's kiss, especially the epilogue. I was a bit sad when I realised Noah and Hannah didn't have a bonus chapter, but I'll have my fingers crossed for the future.
I planned to read this series at the perfect time because tomorrow I'll have Cooper's book in hand. As much as the end of this series saddens me, I can't wait for his book.
Devoured it.

NOAH FREAKIN WYLES!!! HUSBAND MATERIAL!! THIS MAN KNEW HOW TO BE THE BEST AT EVERYTHING!!
Noah was like the male version of Jo, and damn, I loved it. The way that man had an answer for every question was hilarious and cute. The man he was 🛐- he was not only gone for Hannah, but he paid attention to all her reactions, was respectful of her wants, and most of all protective in the most golden retriever way. He was adorable, but if someone tried to harm her, he made sure to show his teeth. The way he volunteered to be her muse was so attractive, especially considering how much she needed it but couldn't ask.
It was bliss reading Hannah go soft for him; it was freaking inevitable, but I devoured each second. That man was one good man.
The way I screamed every time Noah kissed any part of her before their relationship was insane—like, how was cheek, hand, forehead, knuckle kiss so attractive?
I absolutely died when they first kissed, like OMFG wow. Talk about a steamy first kiss!!
The accidental Vegas wedding trope was spot-on for Noah and Hannah, especially with the way she reacted and how elated our man was post-fiasco.
I loved the way he kept calling her wife constantly; it never failed to bring a smile to my face. Our man was smitten, and he didn't even hide it; rather, he flaunted it
Hannah was so strong. She was the reserved Evan sister, who found it hard to open up, but the way she felt so much, so silently, highlighted her personality. She was sassy, but it was all hidden until Noah challenged her, and damn, those moments were the best.
Hannah and Noah's story was so beautiful. Their bond grew gradually; it went from one-sided attraction to so much more. Their banter, top-notch!! Reading Hannah become her old self with Noah was what made their bond even more special. I loved reading all their moments together, the spicy and non-spicy ones—they were so good together.
The spice was so good, especially the book recreation scene, like OMFG NOAHH!! I loved how, during that scene, he was so observant, thoughtful, and considerate. DAMN, I loved him.
The classic window calling scene made me smile so brightly, like only Noah could pull it off and make it ten times sweeter and more attractive.
I swooned so hard when I saw him follow the steps of his older brothers—being observant and a simp for his women—because him carrying Twizzlers in his blazer for her during Jo and Jordan's wedding was darn adorable.

If Samantha Brinn writes it, you better believe I will be first in live to not only read it but DEVOUR it...and this WHOLE SERIES is no exception. Just when I think I have found my favorite of Samanthas books, I get hit with another one that not only blows my mind, but leaves me feeling like a part of my soul has been seen and healed. Samantha has this knack for writing really emotional and REAL LIFE issues into her stories that make you feel seen in a way that is unlike anything I've ever experienced while reading. The characters are beautifully flawed and deal with issues that most of us go through all the time...and you find yourself relating to the characters in a way thats comforting and affirming all at the same time.
This is the 3rd book in the Boston Hearts series...and if you have been reading along since book one, we FINALLY get Noah and Hannahs book!!! 😍😍😍 I have been waiting for these two for SO LONG!!! And Samantha did not let us down one bit! Now, you don't have to read the others to understand this one, but I highly recommend doing so to get the full effect, because like I mentioned...these two have been mentioned in the previous books.
Hannah is our strong willed, black cat writer FMC...and she first meets Noah, our doctor in the making, literal golden retriever MMC, three years ago at a funeral. Noah tries to save her from her d-bag of a boyfriend at the time when he sees her manhandling her, but Hannah tells him to go kick rocks in the sassy fun loving way that only Hannah can, and Noah is immediately smitten...but she has a boyfriend, so that crush just sits there in the back of his mind.
Fast forward three years and Hannah is single and has moved to Boston...she needs a fresh start to try and snap herself out of the writers block shes been experiencing since being with her awful ex. Her past comes crashing back when she realizes that she is living in a brownstone owned by Noahs family.
The two end up in vegas together to celebrate a joint bachelor/bachelorette party and this is where things get CRAZY...black out drinking, karaoke and way too much fun...they wake up the next day very hung over and VERY MARRIED!! 🤭🤭🤭 They try to piece the night together but one thing is for sure, they are legally married and need to not be. They keep it a secret from their friends and family while they wait to get it annulled.
Once they are back in Boston, Noah convinces her to stay married for a bit to give them a shot and to be a bit of a barrier for her ex who is still texting and harassing her. He has some time between his residency and when his new job starts and wants to spend it with Hannah, plus he tells her that he can help her sort through her writers block. She is skeptical at first but then agrees...thinking that maybe it won't be so bad.
The banter between these two had me CACKLING! 😂😂😂 As much as Hannah was a black cat, she was the lovable kind of black cat...pushing buttons and being defiant but in a way that was adorably endearing. And Noah loved every minute of it...embracing her quiet moments and independence...while Hannah was able to calm his chaos and reign in the storm he often brought with him.
What we see next is nothing short of beautiful. Hannah is so guarded and so insecure because of how her ex treated her. He gaslighted her to the point that she was beginning to think she was crazy. She didn't know up from down, left from right...and this is what slowly ate away at her ability to write. Noah...the man he is...he cared so much for her...he truly helped her find herself again...letting her be herself without judgement...he encouraged her, supported her, and loved her in a way that she never had experienced before. She had a hard shell around her heart, but watching her slowly let those walls down had me crying...and watching her find her light again had me full on sobbing.
Noah...he is just perfection. This man can do no wrong in my eyes. He was so patient with Hannah...loving her in a way that every woman...every person should be loved....completely and all consuming in away that makes your knees weak. He also brought his amazing family into Hannahs life, which gave her that found family that she never had and never knew she needed.
Now...as much of a cinnamon roll as Noah was he was also the definition of HOT in the bedroom. The mouth on this man was SINFUL...my toes were curling reading these spicy scenes...I could not contain the squeals leaving my mouth at 2am 🤭🤭🤭
I could go on and on about this book and how much I loved these two, but then I would be here typing for hours...just do yourself a favor and READ THIS WHOLE SERIES! They will engrain themselves in your head and heart and have you wishing you could be part of the Wyles family and have a Wyles brother of your own!

Noah (MMC) is now the gold standard of golden retriever book boyfriends, and Hannah (FMC) is the perfect calm to his sometimes overly excited nature. She has been through it and doesn’t know how to act anymore around anyone, and spending time with Noah helps her relax into who she really is again and I love that. He never tries to change her or convince her that it’s all in her head (her abusive ex had that one covered), he is just there, the steady and stable support available for her to lean on when she needs it. My favorite scene in the book might be the most emotional (yes, I cried) and involves an on-page panic attack, but it shows that though Noah is optimistic and a ball of fun most of the time he has a serious side and he truly is the ideal partner (in my opinion).
Imagine going to Vegas to celebrate your sister and soon-to-be brother in law’s bachelor/bachelorette weekend and waking up married to his brother, who has had a crush on you for three years. Add to the equation that he knows how horrible your ex is (former long term partner) and he is trying to inject fun into your life again so you’ll be able to write your next book. Hannah and Noah’s relationship starts slow, has a major (good) explosion, and then they decide to stay married (secretly) “just for now”. He has some time off between residency and his new job starting and he wants to spend every waking moment with her, and she is discovering that she doesn’t mind his company (and might be open to loving and trusting someone again), and he may be on to something when he tells her that he can help her with her book.
Like Samantha’s other works, this book is full of the soft and small moments that build a meaningful connection between the characters. They remember the little things about each other and an off-hand comment sticks and is acted on later. The communication and found family aspects are both top-notch, and I love how important the girl gang is (and that it’s okay for Hannah to not be as social as some of the members of her family because they love her unconditionally). Each book in this series is a standalone, but I highly recommend reading them in order for the biggest impact — and there is a bomb that was dropped at the end of this book leading into the next (not traumatic, don’t worry) that has me so excited to read it.

Samantha Brinn knows how to write MMCs that will have you questioning your sanity in loving fictional men so much. Every book I read I think she can’t top the MMC and then she does. Just My Type, book 3 in the Boston Hearts series, introduces us to one of my top Samantha Brinn MMCs to date. Her character development through every story she pens is impeccable and leaves you feeling full but still wanting more.
Noah is the MMC who I was waiting for his book and story. In previous books he has become an amazing side character and it is about time he is highlighted. He is all green flags and this is just proven over and over again throughout this book. When the woman he’s been obsessed with needs to be shown how worthy she is, he jumps at the chance to show her exactly that. The amount of times I swooned for this man!! I absolutely loved getting to know him more in this book.
Hannah is a romance author, suffering from a bad case of writer’s block. Her most recent relationship, although done and over, has left her questing so many things, including her self worth. The walls built around her heart are so high, she is certain no one will even want to attempt to climb them. She underestimates Noah and his need to make her happy. Despite her dug in heels, she can’t help but let him in.
Samantha knows how to keep her readers hooked in her stories. She hooks them, pulls them in, teases them, and then finally gives them what they want! Not only with the MCs finally admitting feelings and allowing love to take over, but found family, friendships, and community. She builds groups that encompass both young, later in life, and old that create this dynamic group of people that brings her books to life. She is a must read author and one I highly recommend!
