The Know It Owl and the Giraffe is the cute third instalment in the delightful The Know It Owl Series by Terri Sabol. This engaging tale is an educational picture book featuring beautiful illustrations by Paula Piechna. It is full of facts, humour and interactive fun just as the other books in this series.
In this story, the wise old Owl returns with all his knowledge to help this funny Giraffe. This is one Giraffe with pizazz who sprouts of nonsense about herself as if it is fact, but our wise old Owl soon sets her straight. Does Giraffe listen to the wise Owl's?
This book is an excellent addition to any school, library, or family home.

In this book we meet a fashion-forward giraffe who holds some amusing misconceptions about her species. The Know It Owl gently corrects these misunderstandings playfully saying “Don’t Make Me Laugh, Giraffe,” before enlightening her with accurate facts. The book is both entertaining and informative. Each page is filled with vibrant illustrations that capture the giraffe’s transformation from misinformed to enlightened. The book offers a dozen factual tidbits about giraffes, a bonus fact page, information about their native habitat, a real photograph taken by the author, and an explanation of the giraffe’s status on the endangered species list. The author is amazing at blending storytelling with factual education. By presenting common animal misconceptions through funny dialogue and memorable catchphrases, she builds curiosity and learning in young readers. The inclusion of real-world facts and conservation information adds depth to the book. This is a great book to teach children about giraffes.

The Know It Owl and the Giraffe is the third book in The Know It Owl series by Terri Sabol. It is a cute children’s book with an educational component as the story educates us about giraffes- enlightening us with ‘giraffe facts’ as well as providing some fun ‘activities’.
The story is accompanied by some wonderful, colourful, and interesting illustrations which really help to bring everything to life.
As expected from Ms. Sabol, this is quite a delightful children’s story, and sets the series off to a great start, learning about the various animals with the Know It All Owl.

To the review of The Know It Owl and Owl and the Otter: "I wondered if this book and the other 3 books in the series - could be an educational proposition, and at the same time a pleasure to read and watch, for my 6-year-old Daughter. Yes - the answer is yes! : )) Reading these items is a pleasure. The narration and the media used - including visual ones - enhance it. I really like the fact that you can recognize the emotional states of the characters in these stories. I hope that my Daughter will be delighted with this reading as much as I am." This was a wonderful kids read, we are introduced to Owl, who is wise and a little witty. Owl talks about all the animals and correcting anything that comes up with the animals. Owl shares wisdom that my kids really enjoyed learning about. This this is a very entertaining series that teaches and educates children on different animals. The illustration for these books is so colorful ad wonderful and show the animals like they are pictures. These books also have a bonus page at the end on all the extra information on the animals was wonderful. My daughter loved the how to draw at the end and was drawing all the animals in these series of book. These are a series book, but they don’t have to be in order they are all of different animals and their facts from their bones, habitat, food and so much more. Very educations and learning for kids on different animals.

Know It Owl and Giraffe is another great addition to this engaging children’s series.

Our witty Owl is now correcting the misconceptions that Giraffe has about his species. Like the first book, it invites younger readers to engage with the story. It includes a game to illustrate the differences between the giraffes’ spots and a step-by-step guide on how to draw a giraffe at the end of the book.

I learned some things as well. Not all giraffes have the same spots. The spots indicate the species and family of each giraffe within the four types, and they are inherited from their mothers. They also have the biggest heart of any land animal.

The illustrations are vivid and gorgeous, which will draw readers of any age to into the book. I highly recommend this series for all ages!

Okay, let me just say that this book is adorable and kind of hilarious. My kids and I have loved this series so far and it’s our favorite by this author. If you haven’t met our Know It Owl yet, you’re in for a real treat! He’s got a super fun mix of teacher vibes and sass, so he makes all the educational bits of this book really fun! Both of my kiddos kept yelling, “Don’t make me laugh, Giraffe” on every page before Owl sets the record straight. This book is incredibly interactive and keeps kids engaged the whole way through. I learned many facts about giraffes that I didn’t know! The illustrations are stunning, bright, and expressive. If you’re looking for a fun and clever read that gets everyone giggling and learning, this is a winner!

The Know It Owl and the Giraffe by Terri Sabol. In this fun addition of the Know it Owl series the Giraffe is full of flair but a little fuzzy on her facts. As the Giraffe tells us her knowledge or lack thereof the Owl quickly comes in and gently corrects her teaching the giraffe along with all of us. The information is fun and very interesting and the Owl is always very informative where the giraffe throws in the fun. These books are so cute and full of all kinds of information. They are best for the ages of 4-11 and would make a great gift for the youngster in your life or even the teacher in your life. Such neat illustrations as well.

An engaging owl who's going to teach you this time all about.... The Giraffe!
This is an adorable story exploring fun facts about the giraffe. Mr Owl teaches your children easily identified facts with fun ways to engage them in the story (like measuring with crayons) and adorable little phrases like Absolutely not! When asked if a giraffe would make a good pet. My daughter giggled at the illustration of him trying to fit in the bathtub.
The combined facts and illustrations made this story an easy choice for children young through school age and we will be exploring other Know it Owl stories to learn about other animals!

This book is so cute! The illustrations are adorable, and the measurements being included for size reference is awesome for young readers. On top of that, the concept is clever and engaging, even for the adult reading this book. When a giraffe has many misconceptions about himself and the world around him, an owl who is a bit of a know-it-all helps to straight him out. The book and its illustrations are engaging, with an easy to follow and catch on to rhyming scheme, and humor to keep children and adults alike engaged. I would recommend this for young children, as well as teachers and children's librarians and parents.

This book is a brilliant addition to the series and is easily our favourite one so far. Giraffes and mine and my son’s favourite animals so for us this was a perfect book to read. It was lovely to explore more about them through this series and the engaging way Owl educates you about the different animals.
This book is just as creative and imaginative as the others in the series. The images are colourful and vivid and really help to bring the story to life. We have read this book multiple times since the first and have not yet lost interest. This is a fantastic book that I would highly recommend.

This children’s book shows the differences how giraffes appear and how they do things. It answers questions like: Are their spots all the same? Do they all have blue tongues? There were some cute details in this book that I didn’t know, and I am an adult. There are challenges and puzzles in each book for added adventure. The illustrations are cute and realistic at the same time. I gladly shared this book with the children in my life as well! Great job! Well written and easy to read and understand.

Another great addition to this series! I love the illustrations and the activities in the book. It not only keeps that kids engaged, it also gives the parents a break from reading for a bit! This series is highly informational but in a way that is easy to understand for your littles. I really hope Sabol keeps this series going! And one of my most favorite things...the little "How to Draw" in the back that gives a very simple break down of how to draw the main animal discussed in the book. This is a great addition to your littles growing library!

This is such a fun and interactive series for kids! In this book you follow along with a Great Horned Owl that is wise and a little witty. He shows you about animals and fixes some misconceptions about them. In this book you are following him and a Giraffe. You learn about different parts of the Giraffe and what they are for, but you also get to learn about their size using colored penicils as you guide. For example, a Giraffe's tongue is colored pencils long!! I love that this book is interactive for kids! At the end you even get to learn how to draw a Giraffe!! How fun!!!!

This children’s book is part of The Know It Owl series. In this story Owl takes you on an adventure to visit Giraffe. Each of Owl’s adventures are interactive and will pull your child into Owl’s world. I enjoy the illustrations and how colorful the pages are. They will keep your child engaged throughout and asking questions. This is a cute story that is fun to read and has an education aspect as well. This is a great story that any child will enjoy reading. I highly recommend this book.

Oh my gosh this one has been my favorite so far. While each book in this amazing series has silly illustrations, this one had some golden ones. My older son 13, who loves giraffes, loved this one as we learned new facts as a family about them. As always Terri Sabol has fun interactive activities throughout and a how to draw at the end which led to more family time together as we all tried to draw it. Cannot wait to read more in this series and see what animals will be next.

This is a cute little childrens book that I think your little one will enjoy. I have read the series to my one year old granddaughter and she sits and listens and looks at the pictures. She is still to young to learn what the stories try to teach but I must say that I have learned a lot.

As she gets older, we will read the story again so that she can enjoy it and be as smart as the Know it all Owl. I hope your little ones will enjoy this book too.

I just learned something I did not know about giraffes. Who knew reading a kids book could teach me a thing or two? The author, that's who! This story is well written and thought out. The author put together interesting facts and made the story fun to read. The pictures are super cute too. This is a story worth reading to our children. A must have for all libraries. I can tell you this is a great series. I am looking forward to reading the next book from this author.

The Know It Owl and the Giraffe is another book in this amazing kids series. I love how snarky Owl is and how fun the illustrations are. We learned lots about giraffes in this book. Did you know giraffes only sleep 2 hours a day?! I love the concept of this series and want to buy them for my son's teacher to have in her classroom. They are great for kids who want to learn about animals, but more fun than your average non-fiction book.

This is another book in The Know It Owl Series.
Owl meets with giraffe, and giraffe has some misconceptions about herself. All of her facts are wrong, but the Owl gives her correct information about herself and her kind.
The illustrations are great, as in the other book, and we learned some correct facts about the giraffe. There were some games to play in this book also.
This is the cutest book!

While the first book in the series was focused on Owl facts, this one is on the giraffes and the owl helps guide little ones in the book. There are many fascinating facts about giraffes. There are also some fun interactive games children can do while reading the book and even pencil height/length prompts so littles can fully understand and comprehend the true size. I absolutely love the illustrations in this book and the rhyming of the sentences to help deliver the facts about giraffes.

The Know It Owl and The Giraffe is book 3 of "The Know It Owl" series by Terri Sabol, and once again beautifully illustrated by Paula Piechna. I absolutely love the way these books are formatted, the simple rhyming schemes, the interesting facts, and of course our sassy Owl! Highly recommend this for young readers, as it also includes activities to do at the end, and is a overall wonderful teaching tool!

This was a really cute story of a Giraffe thinking she knew all about herself and an owl who tells her the facts about giraffes! You learn right along with the giraffe on interesting facts about them. This book mixes humor, knowledge, and interactive games to learn all about giraffes. This book is perfect for children aged 4-11 and even some adults ;p I love this whole series of Know it Owl so if you get the chance to order them all, do it!

Why are giraffes' tongues blue instead of pink? Yes, I didn't know why either until I read this interesting, fun and yet educational book! I love the fact that each book in this series has the owl helping the animal in question learn about themselves and the gorgeous illustrations only add to the fun!
