I am an American by birth and situation, whose heart forever remains in Great Britain. I derive much inspiration from my holidays abroad, and my writing is heavily influenced by the delights of the English and Scottish countryside. My author's journey began in several reimaginings of The Phantom of the Opera where I explore happier endings for our beloved Erik-- hopefully aided by my degrees in psychology. I have a love for fantasy and paranormal romance, as well as the pleasure of a thrilling murder mystery... each of which have begun to creep into my writerly pursuits. When I am not consumed with a novel, I enjoy lavishing affection on my two cats, and working in historical costume design.

Fairy tale like

I'm never a fan of mated/bonded romances where two people feel an undeniable attraction that just keeps drawing them together. In this setting, a simple touch can results in bonding for the nymphs. So our heroine unwittingly gets bonded to a knight who had no idea what his touch would result in. How much choice is your own and how much is fed by this bond that only seems to bring you closer? The author redeemed that premise by using the bond to demonstrate what unconditional love could look like in a relationship. And towards the end, I wondered why I ever thought it was so bad to have a force working FOR your relationship, and towards bringing you closer. We don't question forces trying to separate couples or eat away at relationships, they're part of the plot, part of life...I guess it's not so bad to think you'd have one trying to bring people together & remind them of each other's love.

I always enjoy this author's prose. She has a remarkable way of bringing emotion to life. And it never gets tedious.

The heroine reminded me of Isla Fisher's character in Enchanted😂. I loved her quiet strength and determination, despite being a fish out of water.

Give it a go if you want a bit of fairytale magic.

I’m not usually a fan of fated mates as I feel it often dulls the burn of the romance but ooooohhhhhhh my days this was deliciously written! Mairi our beautifully kind, free spirited FMC and Garrick the hurt, broody knight was absolutely the combination I needed!! I love anything medieval and this had all the right prose and language to just get lost in.

I am surprised this isn’t reviewed more as it was such a great read and I’ll definitely be looking more into the author and hope she was more lovely works like this

I really enjoyed this story, although I couldn't help but feeling bad for Mairi. Having to be separated from her kind and then not being able to understand the trees anymore. Especially when Garrick suddenly could. That made me so sad for her.

I enjoyed this, it was very medieval romance a la Judith McNaught/Julie Garwood with a touch of Stardust by Neil Gaiman, though at the half way mark it did loose my interest a bit. I found myself skim reading kind of often. It was a sweet story.
