Five years later, their worlds collide at the school gates. Ben sees the boy he never knew existed. She sees the man she once loved, and maybe still does.
As they try to blend their families, old wounds begin to heal, and the love they thought was lost returns. But Bex is hiding one more secret. One that could shatter the fragile future they’re building.
Because some second chances come with consequences.

Hell no. The title says it all. Trauma porn, no romance, no HEA.

H picks cheating OW over the “love of his life” h, because her dad died and she “needs him”, literally walks out and doesn’t even break up with h properly. Right after they come back from their super romantic Spain vacation. Eventually marries OW for a decade unhappily, invites h to wedding (so thoughtful). OW doesn’t even love him but she manipulates doormat H for almost 20 years. They have multiple kids. She basically threatens separation but keeps him from leaving by threatening to take kids away. Goes off birth control and gets knocked up to keep him in line from time to time.

During one of these separations he hooks up with h again, while OW is pregnant (so classy). She panics and gets h fired. H continues being a doormat and runs out never to speak to h again. h realizes she’s pregnant and keeps it a secret from loser H who walked out on her TWICE. Like five years later, Their sons end up friends in the same class and that’s how h and H meet again, at this point he’s divorced because OW had enough. And he had the audacity to be pissed and consider being vengeful when he realizes she kept their son a secret. I mean what would you do after being walked out on by the same loser twice? Only goes after h when she gets sick, just for her to die at the end. So romantic. 🥰

Oh and by the way he does not reach out right after his divorce. Instead he goes on a date with a 24 year old bartender who tries to take him to an orgy and he freaks out because of performance anxiety.

Every single person sucks in this story. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Down to h’s sister who forced her to sit through an awkward coffee date with H and OW, even attend H’s wedding so “she can move on”. What is the sister doing during this? Well she’s a bridesmaid. Even knowing h has serious issues with alcohol and these encounters all serve as triggers. Even worse H knows he’s causing h to relapse and still doesn’t think twice before sprinting to OW (both of them are doctors by the way to make this infinitely worse).

Oh and manipulative, cheating OW who didn’t love doormat H but still ensnared him for 20 years so he couldn’t be with her friend? She gets a perfectly happy ending. So romantic 💕

I have NOT READ

SELF NOTE

AVOID

MMC chooses OW and their baby over FMC not knowing she was PG too. Give or take ten years pass while he is married miserably to OW. They eventually divorce and (FOR ONCE) the MMC goes to get the FMC back. He pines and grovels and finds out the kid is his and eventually the FMC takes him back.

The reason for my note and possible avoidance is that the story ends with the FMC dying of cancer. Per my FB book group, the author originally ended it with the FMC dead but she rewrote it to leave off with the FMC still alive but terminally ill. The MMC is standing by her side til the end.

I don’t do main character death, even if this author did a FTB on that instead of leaving it on page. I did buy this book so I did my part in supporting this author. Best of wishes to her.

This Toxic Abusive Cunt Left Me Hoping That He Does Fucking Grieve When She Dies, And Hard, Cunt, Abusing Her For So Long And Then Justifying The Trauma Bond As Love

Jesus christ, this book was tripe.

He felt none of what he pretended.

What an absolute controlling bastard.

Wow, you bitches will forgive anything to death, won't yis?

Fuck you five star cunts daring to forgive him for abusing her for years until she got ill.

And yes, Neglect is Abuse.

Love Bombing on a Grovel is Abuse.

You can tell when the worst thing that will ever happen to some people is grief.

Just normalising this asshole.

Like what a waste telling me about Kelseys motivation and affairs.

I don't care.

Hell I don't read flr his rwasons either, I rwad hoping for Ego Death but the Pick Mes and Dick Mes always save him.

You know, the Unseen, Unloved and uttterly Unfucked kinda woman who is jealous of raped women? Those kinda women rush to ask abusers why they abuse.

I did not need a ling ass flash back to her chasing someone elses man, and that immediately took me out of it.

Fuck Bex too.

Like there was no strength or joy in a relationship, it was just her taking care of his needs again.

Chronic.

Imagine he was made to work for it but as usual, sexist women love to create for the abusers to save them from so theyd rather have the avoidant person than absence.

Jesus I felt nothing at the death dealing, already spent a book excusing him, instead of forcing him to grow.

Sometimes your heart just can't take it any more. This book has me wrecked like no other.
I was not prepared for this one, I did not expect this book to get to me so much. Right person at the wrong time, friends to lovers. The pain and angst, love and heartbreak. All of these embody this beautiful second chance romance. My heart goes out for Bex and Ben. Situations so screwed up that messes everything for them. But in the end, the happily ever after, which I wasn't expecting. My heart . Love this story so much!!

I never fvcking hated every single character in a book. Every single one of them was unlikeable with no dang character development how do you expect me to find character development with half of this book is flashbacks.
Bex was a damn doormat who had no self-respect or self-preservation. Kelsey was a sick, twisted, selfish piece of shit who trapped a man for over 20 years because he was her end game plan for her whole white picket fence and two point five kids. Ben was a spineless fvcking turd who allowed a woman who cheated on him in his 20's and stayed with her because he was loyal to her and fvcked over Bex twice even though he says loved her which ended up with him also leaving his son(who he didn't know about at the time),that he had with her because yet again he stayed loyal to his manipulative wife( who he was separated with at the time bec the bitch loved using divorce and taking his kids away from him to keep him in line). Then he finally pulls his fingers out of his arse to get Bex back and then whooped de fvcking do she's busying dying. The End.

Love Beyond Repair is the first book in the Fractured Hearts series by V.R. Tennent. Second chance, secret baby trope that evolves over 3 parts. To much details that I skimmed most chapters, MMC was easily controlled, cheating, and MFC has a terminal illness that doesn't end with a HEA. Emotional but will I follow this series through... NO.

Get ready for the raw emotions to rip your heart out and smash it to pieces because that's what author V.R. Tennent delivered with this devastatingly heartbreaking, painfully saddening, heart-rending love story of a second chance when you least expect it.

4.5 ⭐️

Love Beyond Repair by V.R. Tennent is book one in her newest series Fractured Hearts.
This Second Chance Romance follows the story of Rebecca ‘Bex’ Corrigan, Benjamin ‘Ben’ Jones and Kelsey Jones nee McMillan through their multiple POVs.

Although I have read a similar set up from author V.R. Tennent in one of her other books, I wasn’t expecting Love Beyond Repair to be laid out the same way.
And even though it did frustrate me a little, not wanting to wait and instead just know what would happen straight away, it made reading the story all the more addicting, flipping each and every page faster, devouring every word to finally have all the answers.

This book truly took you on quite the adventurous ride, considering it took you through the present, past and back to present all over again. Not only building on developing the storyline, but also ensuring to fill in all the gaps along the way from the many questions that rose and continued to rise throughout.
Giving us all the answers needed to know ultimately when it came to Bex and Ben’s journeys.

It was a wild, tumultuous journey too and not just from the layout of the story.
But the craziness of the changes, uncertainties and sometimes confusion, due to the paths we were venturing upon when it came to following each of the characters individual journeys.
Especially considering how even though it was mostly Bex and Ben’s story, we were given the POV of Ben’s wife Kelsey at times too.

One thing that cannot be denied was the emotionally charged, angsty-ness delivered throughout.
Author V.R. truly did a phenomenal job, considering how the storyline teared you down, ripping you apart and then shredding you to pieces from the constant onslaught of tough and brutal emotions at play. Paving the way for quite the emotional rollercoaster that was Bex and Ben’s journey.
From the ups and downs, with all the highs and lows, going back and forth with the pushing and pulling, specifically Bex, given the suffering she endured from the heartbreak, it had you feeling all the feels towards her.
Not only watching her venture through a lot of pain and heartache. As well as hearing about it from the display of the raw, nitty grittiness emotional pain showcased in her inner monologue within her POV chapters.

Was it a great read? Of course, even despite some of the frustration I had.
Considering how author V.R. Tennent reeled you in further and deeper with every page, all the while unleashing a tidal wave of many emotions that had you feeling every which way towards each of the characters, whether it be Bex and Ben or even the secondary characters.
Love Beyond Repair truly made for a terrific read that was well written.
As for Amy’s story next in Promises Left Behind, even though I do want to read it, I don’t think I am ready knowing that it will give us an update to post Love Beyond Repair, since it finished on a HFN ending, despite being a standalone.

ARC Review of Love Beyond Repair by VR Tennent
* * * * *
A whirlwind messy romance that has you moving from past to present, from love to hate, from found to lost, and surprises that have you gobsmacked.

Bex has always bene in love with Ben, though, it wasn't requited. He belonged to someone else. All she could do was try and move on.
Ben was exhausted of his relationship, constantly fighting for the woman. When he is surprised by his new found attraction to Bex, blossoming feelings conflict with his current emotions.
Trying to find happiness again is a struggle, but the joy out of the results make it all worth it...until someone choses antoher path.
Love turns to heartbreak and bitterness.
Time goes by, feelings once again change.
Then...one night was all it took to have those guarded walls fall like dominos.
Neither of them planned to unite with one another, to walk along the same path...but now, they don't really have a choice.

I couldn't put the booked down. With the twisting time lines, the POV changes, the characters that need therapy! Love is not just sweet and intense, it is crazy and messy and can also be used as a weapon. Finding happiness is a task, and putting everything on the line can mean you have your heart broken to a point youo don't think you can pick up the pieces.
A new series I am definetly going to dive into, with characters already promising more drama and excitment and hope.

Being the odd one out of the friend group has always made Bex feel not so good about herself. It’s either being disappointing or feeling disappointed.
Everyone in the friend group hiding their feelings makes for a whole lotta drama. That’s the issue with this love triangle, Ben and Kelsey have been a couple for a long time, and Bex just sat on the sidelines as a friend yearning for Ben. So you see the dilemma, nobody is being honest, plus all of them trying to keep it together in their own very different way.
This story is all about timing and growth, how some people need a facade in life, some do what they think is expected and others just try and survive as much as possible.
VR sure made a complex characters here, all with their own back story that makes the whole storyline even more interesting. She has an amazing way of making a very drama filled book to be entertaining, but be warned it is heartbreaking sometimes.

DNF

I was forcing myself to finish this book, but I could not. For the first few chapters I had no idea what was going on. None of the characters are likable, Bex is in love with a married man that’s her friend, she sleeps with him on a drunken night. He tells her they are separated, which is dumb because 1. He showed up with his wife to that party, and his wife is 6 months pregnant!! How she believed him is beyond me. Another thing is that, all 3 of them used to live together, Bex just seemed desperate. Now Ben was a pushover with no damn back bone, and we get 3 POVs Bex, Ben and Kelsey the wife, I don’t know if it picks up at the end but this was first and last book from this author.

This is such a heart wrenching story. I don't usually do stories with cheating however for some reason this one just hits differently and I think maybe it's because you see all three POVs. My heart was just breaking for Bex and Ben even though it should have been for Kelsey..ugh this book made me feel not how I expected but I loved every minute of it.

Wow this one hit me in the feels.

Wrong time, wrong place…the love between the Ben and Bex was electric. But when duty makes Ben walk away and go back to an ex.

When their paths cross 10years later the electric between them was still there, but it only lasted a night. That one night changes Bex’s life when she finds she’s pregnant.

5years pass again before they collide and everything gets turned upside down.

There is no cheating in this book, both are separated/single at both times.

There is talk of cancer that may be triggering. Is it a perfect HEA, some may not think so, but I think it’s a beautiful second chance.

Story 5/5
Spice 3/5 (not a lot of spice, but the spice that was there was spicy)

I received an ARC and this is my honest and true review

i liked the idea of the book but I fucking hated Kelsey, Ben pissed me off for most the book and I felt bad for Bex.

But what tipped me over the edge was the writing and representation of England.

How are you all British but say “high school” (yes i know, some places do say that but it’s more common up north, it’s not rlly a London thing), “the mall” “groceries” “potato chips” “soda” and the worst one… “soccer” ALL IT TAKES IS ONE GOOGLE SEARCH.

How is an individual that oblivious to the world outside them. and no, it’s not gonna be a high 80 in spain bc u might as well say farewell to ur family bc ur gonna be a melted puddle on the floor in a minute. Literally everyone knows that we use °C, just like every other country (apart from the US), and PLEASE, EVERYONE knows that it’s called Football in England.

nope…. h was a POS

Did not like Ben. He was a POS and was never really remorseful for what he did to Bex. He went on with his life and then changes his mind and she instantly forgives him. That is not love and Bex was really a door mat willing to take the scraps he threw her.

Terminal illness; HFN

First of all, Ben pissed me off. He's so passive that if Bex didn't get ill, I don't think they'd get together until they're 80. He lets things happen to him and acts like he has no agency. It also hurts that Bex had to get sick for him to act at all, and for him to have chosen Kelsey all those years because she needed him then finally turn to Bex as she got sick? It almost feels like he just has a hero complex. If the story didn't have his POV, I would've doubted if he actually loved Bex or just loved feeling needed. It sucked that they basically had no time together. And I know this review is full of complaints, but the writing is good. With how wishywashy Ben was being, I would've DNF this chapters ago, but for some reason, I wanted to keep on reading. And for that, I am giving this book 3 stars

4.5 Stars bc I’m still mad at Ben! There’s going to be some spoilers here because I can’t help it. I was totally lost in this story and the details will come out during this review. Ben and Bex, ill fated true love that never seemed to work out timing wise. And I hated Kelsey, which is ironic, because that’s my name. I understood where she was coming from with her choices, but she was a selfish cow. lol okay, got all that out of the way.

VR Tennent writes messy, realistic love stories and Love Beyond Repair is definitely that. It’s not always candy coated romance in real life, things are complicated. And sometimes what looks like the right choice can be wrong and can have lasting consequences. Ben made the wrong choice and Kelsey, the witch, helped push him in to it. They are married for their child, at the cost of Ben’s love for Bex. And a deeper cost that Ben is unaware of until he meets his son…years down the line. I didn’t feel bad for him. I felt like Ben was happy to paint Bex as someone who couldn’t cope and because of her partying ways, she wasn’t the safe and logical choice. Ben destroys Bex, but he never stops thinking about her or being in love with her. He just sort of focuses on being a good doctor and raising his children. I was so annoyed that he had more with Kelsey, but I get it, this is the path he chose and so he was making a life, not necessarily the one he wanted, but he was all in with her. Kelsey then decides she wants a divorce bc they aren’t in love (duh) and she moves on when she actually feels that love with someone. I hated that she never seemed to give a care to the fact that she took that away from Bex and Ben. Kelsey was “oh well, it’s done.” She was very selfish, but again- life is rarely as neat and tidy as a hallmark movie. And I’ll admit, I wanted her to die horribly lol.

Ben finally goes to see Bex and finds out about his son in a roundabout way. He pines for her, openly now, because he can feel those things again and not have it be taking something from his marriage. Ben starts to come around Bex more to see his son, but she keeps her distance for obvious reasons and I was happy to see Ben suffer. They eventually do find their way back to each other over heartbreaking news and Ben has to accept that he threw away a lot of time with Bex that he no longer gets to claim. Fate decided that for him and it totally broke my heart. I wanted Bex to move on and be happier, but she focused on her son and her life. It was a good life, but I wanted more for her. (That was the one issue I had was that she seemed to be too stuck on Ben to move on meanwhile Ben is having multiple children with the harpy he didn’t love. It made Bex’s diagnosis seem even more unfair because she held herself back, but I’m guessing it would be hard for Bex and Ben to get back together if she moved on so I get the choice)

Still Love Beyond Repair was completely heartbreaking! I cried and felt Bex’s pain and Ben’s and how Bex had to face that her son would grow without her. It was a stark reminder not to take life for granted and to love when you can, because it isn’t guaranteed. Such a good angsty, heartbreaking read that I will definitely come back too (and imagine Kelsey dying instead of being happy lol)

Love Beyond Repair is the first book in Tennent's Fractured Hearts series. This second chance romance features Rebecca (Bex) Corrigan, Benjamin (Ben) Jones, and Kelsey Jones nee McMillan.

Ben and Kelsey were childhood sweethearts. When they got older, they moved into an apartment with their old friends, twins Amy and Bex. Bex grew up always being the ugly duckling. Following an awful evening at a pub where she was the butt of the joke, with the help of a colleague she ended up reinventing herself. The change in her appearance as well as her new found confidence resulted in her becoming a lot more appealing. This changed the dynamic in their apartment and Kelsey, feeling like Ben was not as invested in their relationship, ends up dramatically moving out. She refused to speak with Ben and gave him the cold shoulder. Eventually he gave up trying to speak with her an understand what happened. With time, he recognized that he was drawn to Bex and asked her out.

Bex and Ben started a secret relationship which they decided to keep to themselves as they got to know one another better. They didn't want to be subjected to the opinion of their friends or family anticipating that it could negatively impact their relationship. Ben wasn't wrong about those fears as his parents did not receive the news well. Ben organized a vacation for the two of them where they could get away from everything and everyone and let their friends and family get used to the idea of them as a couple while enjoying a blissful holiday. Indeed the two had an amazing trip however once they got back, Ben learned of a tragedy that brought him back to her side. Ben reluctantly let Bex go, wishing her the best, but Bex was brokenhearted.

Bex struggled with the grief of her loss, and had trouble admitting the truth to herself until she watched Ben and Kelsey get married. The couple ended up having two beautiful daughters, Savannah and Rose, and when pregnant with their third, Kelsey informed Ben that she wanted a secret separation. The idea was that from the outside everything would look the same, they were a happy couple with a loving family, but inside they were free to date other people. Ben was shocked but out of fear of losing his children, he agreed. Then one night while out celebrating a friend's birthday, Ben and Bex reconnected.

There is a lot more to the story, recounted from multiple POVs. It flips back and forth through time and shares the messy and complicated love story between Ben and Bex. Personally I found this story to be an emotional, angst-filled, heartbreaking read. The author succeeded in pulling me into their love story and becoming highly invested in the outcome. It was not what I expected but I can definitely say I thoroughly enjoyed it. My heart ached for Ben and Bex and what they endured, and I was so angry and frustrated with Kelsey.

I am a fan of Tennent's work and I am already looking forward to the next installment in this series.

Ben and Bex…two people whose lives intertwine over many years through love and heartbreak and bad timing that feels both cruel and fated. The book moves back and forth through their past and present, slowly revealing how choices and expectations can shape the entire course of our lives.

Deep breath…this book was an emotional roller coaster. Like seriously, my heart hurt, my anger spiked more times than I can count and at the same time, I found myself fully invested in the journey. There were moments where I had to pause and breathe because the weight of everything felt so real. It is one of those stories that shows how messy life can be and how people can make decisions that leave an ache long after the chapter ends. By the time I finished, I felt drained in the best way possible. Frustrated, yes, but deeply moved.

Ben was a tricky one for me. There were times where he felt incredibly stupid and I genuinely believed he did not deserve Bex. Some of his choices made me want to shake him, but it was also those very choices that made him human. He is someone who lives under the weight of expectations and allows that pressure to sway the direction of his entire life. He falters, he hurts people, he hurts himself, but he does it while believing he is doing the right thing. I could not always agree with him, but I kinda understood him and his flawed decisionmaking.

Bex deserved better. Full stop. Period. She is the one who kept picking herself up again and again even when life seemed determined to break her. Ben’s choices set her on a path of destruction that she never deserved and yet she still found strength when it mattered most. She is the heart of the story and the character who stayed with me long after the final page (those bonus diary entries made me SOB). I felt protective over her, I felt upset for her, and I admired her deeply. If there is a second life somewhere, I genuinely want Bex to find her true prince charming and finally be cherished the way she always deserved, not the crumbs that Ben gave her.

I’m gonna step out of my usual review style and talk about Kelsey. I am not going to lie, Kelsey frustrated me beyond belief! Selfish, cruel, delusional, and constantly playing the victim even when she was the one causing the most damage. Having chapters from her perspective did not humanize her for me, if anything, it made me want to stop reading every time she opened her mouth. She is the kind of character who gets freedoms for herself while destroying the lives of two people who were meant to be together. I was angry. I was upset. And yes, I am still seething at her. That said, my emotional response to her is also a testament to how well the author wrote her. She felt real. Too real.
The kind of selfish evil people that do exist, causing havoc and malice in others lives and getting away with it.

This book hurt. It truly did. My heart sobbed while I read because it captures the right person at the wrong time in the most painful way. The amount of time wasted hit me so hard. But that is also why the story worked…it was raw, it was emotional, and it was honest about how life can spiral and still somehow find its way back to love. Life isn’t a fairytale, and this book was a reminder of that.

Despite my frustration with certain characters, I genuinely appreciated how powerful and moving the story was. It captured the ugliness, the beauty, and the reality of human relationships in a way that felt unforgettable. A difficult read at times, but a deeply touching one. And I am grateful I experienced it.

** First up. This book is not going to be for everyone, as love isn't always tidy, perfect, and a HEA does not have a timeframe. So, read those trigger warnings, there is a few. There is some harsh reviews (and everyone is entitled to their own opinions) but when it is because you don't want to read certain triggers or tropes, don't.

For me, I am an oncology nurse, I have had issues that the FMC has and I absolutely, hand on heart, will say, this is one of the best books I have read, the sensitivity given the tough subjects was exceptional and I appreciated this for showing the reader that love, however it comes and for however long or short, is by no means not worthy or deserved.

This is a journey thru their lives, where for a time, they came together, throwing caution to the wind and finding love with each other. However, love doesn't last forever, and Ben makes a tough choice to put honour and duty ahead of himself, and Bex's heart is broken. Bex self destructs and Ben, tied to a loveless marriage. A coming together some years later, and one stolen moment and Bex is left with the gift that gave her purpose and provided some healing, a part of Ben.

My heart and my emotions were broken apart and feelings were raw, and I absolutely spent chapters sobbing....but when a book gives me this level of emotion, even though is a tough subject, it is worthy of this amazing story. I have met Bex's in my career, and even Ben's, and even though love, duty, obligation initially tore them apart, this bought them full circle. There is no time for regret, and lessons can be taken away from this that we all should hear. Victoria, I left several messages that I appreciated you replying too, shared things about yourself as I told you how much I loved this. Bex and Ben hold a special place in my heart, and how can I say thank you for giving us this amazing story. I am so so excited for the rest in this series. Afriggenmazing.

I definitely didn’t expect to cry while reading this book. I know better than to trust TikToks that show you just one scene, because this story was everything I didn’t expect. Bex and Ben’s relationship was doomed from the beginning.

Kelsey and Ben’s relationship was one of the most toxic relationships ever, and I hate how Kelsey made sure that Ben could never end up with Bex. I also hate that Kelsey got her happy ending when she didn’t deserve it. She was the one who forced Ben to stay with her. I understand the need to have a man who yearns for you, but he walked away from her twice, and she still did everything she could to get him back. Kelsey had no self-respect, and I wish she hadn’t gotten her happy ending, because she truly didn’t deserve it.

Bex made me cry twice, maybe even more. I felt so sorry for her. Younger Ben was pathetic. Leaving the love of your life twice for someone you don’t even love, just because you’re loyal to her and because of your parents, is truly pathetic.

Bex deserved better, and I hate that she ended up with Ben in the end. Still, I’m glad she got her “happy ending” , because she truly deserved it. She went through so much in her life that, even though I hated her ending up with Ben, I wished she had more time with him and her son to have the family she deserved.

This is a reworked telling of Fractured hearts & I don’t know how Victoria has somehow made this book even more angsty, emotionally captivating ~ A testament to how much she has grown as an author. (I thought she was amazing before) Truly phenomenal. Her characters are flawed but relatable. I find myself being their cheerleader from my sofa !

Bex & Ben’s story is beautifully written & utterly captivating. Some scenes are truly heart-wrenching - my heart broke so many times for Bex. She’s a fantastic character: tortured, broken, yet such a survivor. They complement each other perfectly.

This book is raw, it's a heartbreaking, emotional story about love, sacrifice ~ The journey Bex & Ben had to take to find each other again with an unbreakable love in their hearts isn’t an easy one.

Time is infinite, but life is finite. This is without a doubt an emotional rollercoaster, filled with angst but one that gives you a sense of peace.

I absolutely loved & devoured it. It was definitely a page turner & made me feel so many things.

When you reach the end. you'll just sit there quietly wrecked. For those of us who’ve had a messy love will know & appreciate that not all love stories end with a happily ever after.

I thoroughly recommend reading this but please check triggers before reading this one

💔💔BOOK REVIEW💔💔

Heartache, angst, drama, grief, passion, and love are key elements of Love Beyond Repair by Author V. R. Tennett.

This is a different type of romance book. This complicated romance reflects how messy real life is. This book is messy.

Rebecca ‘Bex’ Corrigan, Benjamin ‘Ben’ Jones and Kelsey Jones nee McMillan are the lead characters in this book. Their decisions reflect the consequences in this book. This book is in many layers which helps draw the picture of how these characters move through life and this situation. At times this book is uncomfortable and stressful, but life is often uncomfortable and hard. Each character has been well developed and evolves in this book.

The spice and chemistry in this book are strong and hot🔥🔥🔥🔥. This book is an emotional rollercoaster, and it is not your typical HEA.

Story - ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
Spice - 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

A love story to make your heart ache.

❤️ Love Triangle

Would probably rate 2.5stars if I could.
I did enjoy the style of writing and it did keep me engaged
however felt the book was very rushed at the end. There seemed to be massive time jumps, which made sense when the dates were listed for past and present but then all of a sudden it was a year later mid chapter.
I can appreciate the plot etc might be for some people but just missed the mark for me.
Felt the MMC was a doormat and wanted to please everyone else but the FMC.
Kelsey’s character was completely manipulative, no confronted her about this, she bore no consequences and then ended up getting her happy ending and then the MMC and FMC get an almost partial happy ending that seems like it was purely down to the circumstance rather than any real redemption from the MMC and the FMC just forgives him after some pretty brutal betrayals.
However I did read this in a day so it did keep me turning the page to see how it was going to play out so maybe it was just that the story line wasn’t my cup of tea.
