I was selected to receive an ARC of this book and I’m so thankful! It was amazing for the author’s debut.

Parker has secrets and Maverick is determined to unravel every single one of them.

This book has all the things I love in a dark romance. Stalker. Immediate obsession and possessiveness. Touch her and d!e. Tall, dark, morally grey MMC. All the perfect recipe for a fun time.

I literally had to force myself to put my damn kindle down and step away at times because I was so engrossed in the book but life came calling. I highly recommend reading it and honestly cannot wait for book 2 in the series. The second it’s announced you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be right there, hands out like gimme, gimme, gimme with no shame. Cheers to you, Tiffany, for an amazing start to your writing career. I’m proud of you!

This book hooked me from the start! It’s a dark, intense romance with a gripping stalking trope that kept me turning the pages. Parker’s journey from escaping her past to finding herself again was emotional and raw, and Maverick’s obsessive yet protective nature made for such a thrilling dynamic between them.
Let’s not forget the side characters that give main character energy at times!! Can’t wait to see their roles in the future.

The writing pulled me in and the story was captivating. The tension between the characters was perfectly done. I finished it wanting more and am definitely hoping for a sequel!

This book completely pulled me into a different world ! The storyline was so good — emotional, fast-paced, and full of tension that kept me flipping pages. I absolutely fell in love with the male main character; he had so much depth and charm that I couldn’t get enough of him. How protective that man is… obsessed with him.

The chemistry between the characters and the worldbuilding were both done so well, and by the time I finished, I was already craving more. I seriously can’t wait to read the next one !!!

Elizabeth did something bad that she needed her uncle Nick help. He got her out of town to a different place. He gave her everything that she needed and also told her not to ever call him. Elizabeth has just landed at her new home Oregon. She is greeted by Hazel her uncle's friend. She gets to a small craftsman house away from the road which is perfect for her. Hazel hands her the keys and tells her this home is yours. She never had anything that belongs to her and now she does. She has all that she needs and more. Two years have past and she still works at the bar hazel got her a job at. She is closing the bar and cleaning before she gets home. She worked a double shift and was tired. She gets home and showers but when she is drying her hair she feels the hair on her neck go up. She feels lihe someone is watching her and this is the first time since that night that she felt that way. She grabbed her phone and checked the cameras but there is nothing. She walked through the house to make sure windows and doors were locked. Maverick is called my karson to meet someone and they met at Doc the bar Elizabeth works at. Karson was telling him to handle the new kids and maverick told him that he will handle it. They run a security company they provide protection to clients. They have people they trust working for them but the new kid they hire can't keep his mouth shut even with a NDA signed. The new kid has dropped some name of clients just to impress some girls and now maverick will be keeping an eye on him. When his friend is heading back to the table that is when he see her and she has grabbed his attention. He asked his friend who was that bartender and he told him he doesn't know. Now his plans has change now he needs to know who the bartender is. He goes back later to the vat and watches her from outside. After she leaves work he followers her home. He notice her cameras and hacks into them and he puts them on loop. She will not be able to see that his around. He goes to the back yard and picks her lock and goes inside her home. He goes to her room and right as soon as the shower head is off he goes inside her walk in closet. He stays there until she falls a sleep. He watches her sleep for a few minutes before he goes and look for her purse to find out who she is. He finds her purse in the kitchen and finds her ID and now he knows her name. He leave her house and heads home. The next day Elizabeth wakes up and gets ready to go see hazel who has been there for her since she got there to Oregon. She goes to Hazels house they have dinner and catch each other up on there life. She leaves and on her drive home she has that feeling again the feeling of being watched. Her hairs of her neck goes up again so she looks to see if anyone is following her. She doesn't see anything, she even checked her backseat to make sure no one was there. She gets home showers and then she relaxes and watches tv. She is dozing off when she hears a noise. She seats up and gets off her bed to turn of the bathroom light. She hates the dark but need to see what the sound is. She turns her tv off so no one can see her. She walks to the back door an look out the window and when she's about to stop looking she see some movement but it was quick. As soon as she notice it, it was gone. She looks again and stans her eyes and that's when she see movement again. She runs and make sure everythingbus lock. She goes to her room and gets her gun and sits on the floor with her back toward the bed. She waits and nothing but her sleep takes over. She wakes up the next day and go make herself some coffee, she then take a nap on the couch before work. She gets to work and her friend ash should hee the new bouncer. In away it's good because she doesn't have to worry about walking to her car by herself. She notice two guys walk in and go straight to the new guy. She never seen them before. After they talked to him they turned around and started walking to the door. As she was looking at them one of them stare right at her. She was caught staring and she went straight to a customer to get them a beer. When she looked again they were gone. After a long night she closed the bar and heads home. She lays on her bed and go over camera footage to see if she can see who or what was around her house that night and she can’t see what or who it was. It was late and she had to be up early. Then she hear the noise by the back door. She goes outside with her gun and there is nothing there. She goes back inside and tells her self that she cannot be losing it. It toke her time to get back on her feet and she is not going to lose it. Maverick has someone do a background check on her and it’s perfect but to perfect. He feels that there is more to her that she is hiding.
Will he find out about her past? We he still want her? Will she want him after everything his done? Must read this book to get to a part in this book that will leave you saying OMG. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Affliction is a dark, Dark, DARK trauma romance. (At least, that's what I would classify this.) Maverick isn't nice. In fact, he's downright ruthless. This MMC is NOT determined to heal and make Parker whole again. Rather, he's replacing her very existence with his own twisted versions of pleasure and pain.

Now, that does not mean Parker doesn't like it. She has plenty of secret fantasies, ideas she wasn't even aware existed until Maverick pulled them out of her. She's lived her life in fear, but (as the Dark Romance book girlies know) sometimes exploring that darkness with someone you trust, in a controlled environment, is more therapeutic than the most expensive therapy could provide.

⚠️The trigger warnings are absolutely necessary!⚠️ Please make sure you read them before diving-in and taking the plunge with Maverick and Parker. There is explicit on-page gRape and DV/SA (just to name a few of the biggies). If you can't handle it, don't start.

All that said, I think where the story suffered most is that it moves FAR. TOO. SLOWLY. There are several instances where the flashbacks could've been incorporated into the present-day story more seamlessly and with far less detail. Flashbacks usually only consist of necessities because we only recall the big picture ideas when remembering long-term past events. It's also worth noting that quite a few chapters (especially at the beginning of the book) involved repeating the same events from the previous, just from another character's POV. That also isn't necessary and contributes to the slower pace of the novel.

I really liked Afflication and I'm curious to see what else this author has up her sleeve with the Shadows of Perdition series. 🖤

Now lets go into the FMC she was incredible and so brave and strong and for everything that she went through in her past and was still able to give the MMC a chance and open her heart to him and feel safe. I could feel the connection instantly from the sec their eyes connected at the bar and everything after that was nothing short of amazing!! Yall and I could not stop laughing at the fact this man owns a sercurity company and yet was stalking her but I mean I guess it made it easy for him the way all that played out just made me giggle. There was always something happening and going on as the story went on and I couldn't wait to see how it all played out and let me tell you I DID NOT see that coming 👀🤯 HOW!?!? you will see!!!! Ooooh and let's not forget about Uncle Nick 😭😭 I loveee him so much (can we find him a lady friend) asking for myself pick me < 🤣🤣

Ohhh and Tiffany you hurt my mama bear heart with Mav but you made up for it with Uncle Nick ❤️ so I forgive you 🤭

I absolutely LOVED this book. Couldn't put it down at all ... until I had to go to work which got in the way of my reading! how rude. The story itself was AMAZING, I did not see those twists coming!! When I tell you that I screamed at my kindle... I SCREAMED at my kindle!! At one point I had to put it down and take a breather. Picked it right back up and continued as I needed answers and had to get them as soon as possible.

It doesn't read like its a debut novel at all, its like Tiffany has been writing for years. It goes at a good pace, it has story, smut, twists and turns, action, suspense, good banter between all the characters. I feel like it has it all and for me, its exactly what I look for in a book. 10/10

If you're looking for a new book boyfriend look no further! Maverick Caine (MMC) is ready and waiting for you! he's tall, he's tatted, he's protective and loyal what more could you want!! I fell SO hard and fast for this man.

Parker the FMC, where do I start with her. She's so strong and has so much courage without even knowing and its heart-breaking but also heart-warming. knowing that she pushes herself to keep on going after everything she's been through and to keep fighting had me in tears. I want to give her a big hug and have a movie night with her so bad!

Parker is determined, fierce and so incredibly strong. She has endured so much in her past. And she has to hide and disconnect all contact with the only family she has left to say safe. She tries to build herself a new life, and show that she can be stronger then before.

Maverick owns a security company that is at the top. He is the most sought after. He didn't think he could ever want something or someone as much as he wants Parker when he first lays eyes on her. He turns stalkerish so he can keep an eye on her. He wants her safe and soon start implanting himself in her life.

Parker knows she is being watched. And when she finds out it's Maverick, she fights him but soon realizes that she wants him even more. He doesn't scare her life men from before. She feels safe.

While they are exploring this new relationship, there are darker things at play. Soon she feels like she is going crazy and loosing her mind. And Maverick ends up right beside her.

But her past comes back to get her. She worked so hard on the life she has and now it's in danger. She's not sure she'll survive this time. But Maverick with the help of his close friends and a person from Parker's past, they set out to save her. And this time everyone is determined to keep her past gone for good.

Oh this book... LOVE. This book had everything (including items that are triggers, so read those trigger warnings). It was emotional, suspenseful, thrilling, sexy, dark, romantic, and had action. You know you've come across an incredible story when you immediately want to re-live the story and are pleading for the author to publish the next book. The story pace and length were both perfect.

Our FMC here, Parker, will take you on a wild ride of emotions. Everything she felt, I felt as I was reading. I found myself becoming one and the same Maverick wanting to go after any one and everyone who hurt her. Tiffany wrote her story with such raw energy, that I actually feel like I have a better understanding of someone who has experience DV and SA. I really appreciated the two timelines, bouncing from current life to the life Parker left behind.

Maverick, the MMC, was top tier. I feel like it is hard to portray the "follows her professionally" and make it seem authentic, but Tiffany nailed it. Why Maverick finds such interest in Parker makes sense, and it's almost sweet in a dark romance kind of way. He's fiercely protective and I love that. He is a perfect shade of gray balancing the line between law and protection.

This book is perfect for anyone who loves dark romance.

Fall season perfection!!
Buckle up for the emotional rollercoaster you never saw coming! The first few chapters reeled me in, and before I knew it, the emotions were spilling off the page, leaving me thoroughly invested and in my feelings!
Parker's (The Fmc) the real deal, she's survived hell and has the T-shirt to prove it. I thoroughly enjoyed her character and felt a strong connection with her. The writing? Phenomenal! It’s raw, honest, and so immersive you'll feel like you're experiencing it all firsthand.
Maverick (The Mmc) is the epitome of sinfully delicious and shadow daddy cool. Their up-close-and-personal meeting was pure chaos, but I loved every minute. The chemistry between them? Absolutely electric!
The suspense and intrigue between Parker and Maverick is amazing and a wildly raw plot driver in the unfolding of the storyline between these two characters! The twists, you don’t see coming! Wow!!
While the minor characters were fantastic additions and likable all the same. This novel was a wildly intriguing ride, expertly crafted and full of all the right elements, skillfully weaving together the highs and lows of this wild thrill. It’s a ride you don’t want to get off of!!

Holy shirtballs. When I say this book consumed me from page one... not lying. Tiffany White has come out swinging with her debut novel and I never want to leave the world she has created. Parker is so freaking strong and brave. The character growth of her alone makes this book worth it. Then, Maverick Cain... swoonworthy isn't a good enough description. This man is Possession and Obsession all wrapped into one big morally gray delicious man.

This book is plot heavy with spice sprinkled through. As far as dark romance books go, this one is definitely dark. Check your trigger warnings and there is a full stop before the hardest to read chapter... which I honestly skimmed then skipped the one part I knew I wouldn't be able to read (your mental health matters first always). They way this world was built it wraps you into the cocoon and then you're promptly beaten out of it... like with a bat. Knowing I was only 80% done, I really felt the book could've ended there but I am glad it didn't. The growth of Parker over the last few chapters cemented her as one of my favorite badass FMCs ever.

Affliction is in my top 10 reads of 2025 and I cannot wait for the next book!

Yes. Need I say more? I was immediately pulled into this book and it didn’t let me go, even now as I’m writing this a few days after finishing I still want more of this world.

Our FMC Parker has been through some shit (always check your triggers ☺️) and she finally is starting to feel safe again that is until she feels someone is watching her from the shadows.

Our MMC Maverick 👀, let’s just say I would if I could. He is not a nice man, brutal, straight to the point and above all a business man. That is until he see’s a little bartender who has captured his complete attention and becomes his obsession.

Oooo this was so good!! I’m not going to spoil anything but you will want to read this if you’re into the stalker vibes with tragic back stories 😍.

Tiffany has done an amazing job with this book. Her story has a lot of plot and for sure is well worth the read.

Parker, our FMC is a loner of her own making. She fears getting close to people because of her past and honestly? Who could blame her? She went through the most but still battled her demons and came out on the other side stronger for it!

Maverick, our MMC is everything you need in a book boyfriend. Protective, tatted up, bossy, and with an instant obsession with his girl? So much so that he stalks her to get her... he is also so protective of her he gets her boss to ensure her safety... Yeah buckle up ladies, you're definitely gonna wanna ride that ride because this green-eyed hottie is absolutely delicious!

This book is so good and honestly has me excited for the next book in the Shadows of Perdition series.

I also can't wait for Karson's story because that man clearly tips more towards the crazy scale and I kinda like his brand of crazy...

For those of us who looked at the typical happy-go-lucky cinnamon roll MMC and said, "beat it nerd", Mav is the answer to your prayers. I would consider abandoning my life as I know it to race off into the sunset with this MMC if he were to manifest out of my Kindle. This guy sets the tone for Dark Romance MMC's.

Now, a note on this plot. This is a STORY it is not all spice, all nice. Not even close. This is an FMC who goes THROUGH IT. An FMC who battles monsters that no one should have to. This is a story of pain, survival and finding yourself again. This plot ripped me apart, stitched me back together, and then kicked me down the stairs. There is a piece of this FMC in almost all of us, so be prepared to feel.

The Shadows of Perdition are coming. I'm locked and loaded. Bring them all on.

The very first chapter hooked me, and I needed to see where this book would go!

Over the top MMC, Instant Obsession, Stalker, Dual POV!

I loved the FMC of Parker; we get to see her go from a meek young woman and blossom into a bada$$ that was not going to let anyone push her around. Maverick is very stoic; we get to learn more about his inner workings due to the dual POV.

My favorite part of the book is that we get scenes from the past. We get a glimpse into Parker's life where everything started at the beginning, up until the present, and where we are today.

For being the author's debut, she is very good at giving just enough description of the characters' surroundings, thoughts, and feelings to let you see the story playing out in your head.

Very much looking forward to the next book in this series and keep an eye on this debut author...she is one to watch!

Dark emotional, and completely addictive

I couldn’t put this book down. Affliction pulls you in from the first chapter and doesn’t let go.

Lexi is running from her past, trying to start over and live a quiet life—but when danger catches up to her, everything unravels. Then comes him—Maverick Cain the man who was supposed to hunt her, not fall for her. The tension between them is intense, a mix of fear, attraction, and something neither of them expected.

Tiffany White did an amazing job blending darkness, emotion, and romance. The story is fast-paced, full of secrets, and the chemistry between the characters is unreal. It’s one of those books that sticks with you even after you finish.

If you like dark romance with heart, obsession, and redemption, this one’s a must-read!

For a debut? This was impressive. I've been waiting for it for months since I saw her trailer on tiktok back in the spring.

Tiffany came in swinging with a dark, trauma-heavy romance that doesn’t shy away from the ugly, the painful, or the shadows we pretend don’t exist. The writing had my attention, the emotional weight hit hard, and I was hooked watching Parker and Maverick navigate their broken pieces in ways that felt raw and unapologetically messy.

Parker is the kind of heroine you root for from page one, bruised but unbowed, constantly choosing to stand back up even when life tries to bury her. And Maverick… whew. Obsessed, unhinged, morally gray, and absolutely, fiercely devoted. Their dynamic is equal parts unsettling and magnetic, and watching them collide was addictive. The cast of side characters has me already plotting who I want to follow next. (Uncle Nick supremacy, honestly.)

This is dark romance, so definitely check the content warnings before diving in. The trauma, the stalking, the psychological intensity… it won’t be for everyone. But if you live for stories where healing looks jagged, love isn’t neat or gentle, and devotion toes a dangerous line, this one delivers.

A strong start to a (I hope its a series) I’ll be keeping an eye on. I’m excited to see what comes next. 🖤

This IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST FUXKING READ!! But for the love of god, check the triggers before proceeding!

Tiff my love, you wrote an amazing debut novel! From the dang prologue, I was hooked! The story grabs you immediately and refuses to let go. The twists had me silent-screaming at my Kindle in the middle of the night, questioning everything I thought I knew and desperately needing just one more chapter.

And Maverick? 🥵 Top tier boyfriend 100% I need more of him now babe!

EMOTIONAL DAMAGE. Literally so many times I was sobbing but also so many times I laughed and couldn't stop my blushing and school girl giggling.

Parker like many has such a layered and dark past but Maverick helps her HEAL and shows her how deserving she is of love. These two were made perfectly for one another and my love for them I can't even fully express. They have such a big piece of my heart and always will!

Side mention to MY BABY Uncle Nick I wish I could hug that man and never let go, the way him and Parker have been through so much together breaks but heals my heart all the same.

All of Mavs and Parker's found family is beautiful, crazy but freaking beautiful. And can NOT wait to fall more in love with all of them throughout SoP

From the moment Parker and Maverick crossed paths, I was hooked. Their chemistry was dark, chaotic, and addictive, and had me questioning my morals or lack thereof. Maverick’s possessiveness and obsession hit every dark romance button I crave, and Parker’s strength through her trauma made me love her even more. The tension, the emotional whiplash, the push and pull between pain and desire kept me glued to my Kindle way past when I should’ve stopped reading.

I really appreciated that Tiffany didn’t hold back in exploring both the brutality and the vulnerability of her characters. The writing pulled me so deep into their world and made me feel everything, even the parts that hurt. The trigger warnings are there for a reason, so definitely check them before diving in..

Before I continue I want to point out that this is a DARK ROMANCE, Heavy on the Trauma so read your trigger warnings.

From the moment I opened up her book, I was sucked in. Parker our FMC has had such a rough life. I can understand her and why she's so cautious to allow anyone in. Her feelings, her growth everything is just valid.

Maverick Cain?! Obsesses. The way that he falls first and hard I ate it up. He wanted to protect parker with everything he had even if it meant stalking her lol. But let's be honest Parker could handle herself. She was such a strong lady.

I loved the way Tiffany wrote this book, the details, character development, the plot everything was amazing. 5/5

Affliction has been my most anticipated read of 2025 and wow. It did not let me down. It took a hold of me and did not let me go until the very end.
This is Tiffany’s debut novel but you would not think it. It’s like she has been writing for years.
The main FMC, Parker, had been through so much but she is tough. She is a survivor. She had every right to be break down and be broken by what she has been through but she isn’t. She instantly became one of my all time top FMCS.
Now on to Maverick……The instant obsession…..the touch her and die attitude….the stalking 👀🤣 I.Love.Him. Has Tiffany ruined every other book boyfriend for me? I would say yes she has.

This book is full of plot with some spice in there (don’t get me wrong the spice is there and it is hot af). But it’s the story that you are there for. There is so much tension and emotion written in you cannot help but fully immerse yourself in this world.
The side characters aren’t just there as filler and dear lord I need Karson’s story because I kind of fell in love with him.

I cannot wait to see how Tiffany emotionally wrecks us readers next.

Parker is running from a really dark past and changed her identity to start all over. She starts having a life she really likes and has people she is really close to. Little does she know she starts having a stalker named Maverick, but he just wants to protect her. He even hired a bodyguard for the bar she works for. When her past comes back in full force, all hell breaks loose. You definitely see the side of Maverick that really cares for her, especially after they spend so much time together. I really felt what Parker was going through when the back in the past, I have gone through some of those things. It's a heartbreaking story, but I love what Parker has turned into from it!

This was one of my most anticipated books of this year and it did NOT disappoint! Parker has a strength and resiliency that is unmatched! She came out of the other side of everything that happened to her without being broken by it and living her life! Maverick is top 3 MMC's of ALL time! His touch her and ☠️ attitude and his willingness to do ANYTHING for Parker! Top tier! This story flows so well, is beautifully written, and is so put together, I would believe Tiffany has been writing for years, and this isn't her DEBUT novel! I can not wait to see what she comes up with next!

Maverick is a mixture of Kade Mitchell and Noah Riley, dark and twisted with a sweet soft center. Parker takes no names and gives no relief as she finally stands up for herself. My ONLY issue is I wish we had more suspense on Preston’s dad being the big bad or some sort of suspense to keep us on edge of our seats. It felt like a romance with little going on. Which is fine. Once the bar fight happened it still wasn’t that intense. Outside of that I loved the characters. Hopefully a Karson book!? Loved Ashlynn and Cole too. And who couldn’t love Uncle Nick!

Where the hell do I begin?! Affliction is Tiffany White's debut novel, it had plot, spice, and Maverick mfken Cain is going to be one of your new book boyfriends.

Parker and Mav were destined for each other and the pull they have towards one another was *chef's kiss*

This book had my full attention the moment I started reading. Nothing felt rushed or drawn out. The plot was amazing, the spice was spicin (we all need a Maverick in our lives 🥵).

I can't wait for the future of Perdition and the other characters we met in Affliction, because you know we are all greedy and need everyone's story 😏
