Moonshine Ridge Mountain Men #5-8

Moonshine Ridge Mountain Men Volume Two: The Joneses

Rate this book
Welcome to Moonshine Ridge and the rugged wilderness surrounding the remote mountain community where the history is long, the local lore is deep, and the men are as wild as the mountains they come from.

Protective, possessive, totally obsessed; the men of Moonshine Ridge will do anything necessary to claim the women they love and give her the happily ever after she deserves.

The Moonshine Ridge books contain a lot of instalove, some swearing, some steamy scenes, zero cheating, and a lot of swoon-worthy happy endings. They're interconnected with recurring characters but can be read as stand-alones in any order.

Retreat to the Eddy Jones

Stepping inside the local market, the bell on the door jingles, and I'm about to give Alice my customary greeting before grabbing a basket, when my head snaps back to the woman behind the counter.

The curvy brunette at the register is not the octogenarian store keeper that I've known my whole life and I know immediately that this woman is mine.

Driven to the Current Jones

Moonshine Ridge is a tight community. We like to think we're welcoming, but opening a new business in a town where no one knows you? That's a recipe for failure in a place that tends to support its own.

So, when I get my first look at the woman standing on a ladder with a paint roller in her hand, I tell myself my intentions are purely neighborly; that the soft curves and determined spirit that have me out of my mind with need have nothing to do with spending all my time helping her to get her brewery up and running.

I'm going to make sure Ginger's new business is a success here on the ridge and then I'm going to claim her soft body and make her mine, because I knew the moment I laid eyes on her that the real reason Ginger was driven to the mountain was to be my wife.

Called to the Rapid Jones

Moonshine Ridge never had a doctor when I was growing up. Anything that Mom couldn't fix with a bandage and a kiss meant a drive down to the clinic in the valley.

Now one of the big medical groups has built a rural clinic with living quarters attached for the doctor they've stationed here.

Never paid much attention till the night I have to drag my buddy out of a bar fight with a busted nose.

When we hit the emergency call ringer on the clinic door, I'm not prepared for the woman that answers the call.

A single mom with a new medical license, determined to make a better life for herself and her son here in the mountains; Sage Everett is all business...but she's also all woman.

She needs a man who will prove to her that she deserves to be love, and her son needs to know what a farther is supposed to be.

I know I'm that man for both of them but Sage isn't quick to trust again and she's giving me an ache that no prescription can cure-- I won't be well until I can convince Doctor Everett to kiss it and make it better.

Running to the River Jones

Growing up, my brothers and I all heard the story of how Mom and Dad knew they were meant to be together the moment they saw each other. Somehow, I always knew that's how it was going to be for me too.

That's why I never took the opportunities I had to get more experience with any of the girls that came up to the river every summer.

Then I see Cinnamon; the cutie that got hired to help with camp support for the river rafting outfit my family owns.

Rocklyn prefers her romance reads to be short, cute, and dirty; low drama and a little over-the-top: extra points for growly, alpha heroes with beards.

Originally from the farms and ranches of Central California, Rocklyn grew up in the lap of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Those small towns will always be home, but Rocklyn was born to roam.

These days she spends her days exploring America's back roads in her camper trailer, writing steamy happily-ever-afters while looking for internet.

***
And what do I read? Total smut, the kind with over-the-top chemistry that gets characters to lose their minds and their clothes as soon as possible-- they can work out the kinks on the way to happily ever after later!

Continuing on with the men in Moonshine Ridge has another set of brothers who fall instantly in love with one look at their woman.

Retreat to the Mountain - This time it’s Eddy and Pepper who works at the general store and thinks she has met everyone. Until Eddy walks in and he is instantly smitten with the young woman. Doesn’t take long for these two to know what they feel is real and that both can make the other’s dreams come true.
Driven to the Mountain - Another brother falls fast and hard for a woman, love at first sight and doesn’t waste any time making her his. This time it’s Current and he spots Ginger painting her new store, who wants to open a new brewery in Moonshine Ridge, since where she’s from, her town denied her applications. This is her last chance to make her dreams come true and Current is in her sights as well.
Called to the Mountain - Another brother falls and fast but takes his time with the new Doc in town, Sage. She has a precious young son, Jackson, and both Jackson and Rapid have grown fond of each other. It’s been a year and now Rapid is no longer waiting for Sage,….he wants it all, Sage and Jackson to be his family and nothing is going to stop him.
Running to the Mountain - River is the youngest brother and last man standing, he is waiting for his “one” just like his parents, love at first sight and is convinced Cinnamon is the one for him. Cinnamon loves her job with the River’s parents, setting up the mess hall for all the canoeists his parents cater to. She’s noticed River but can’t get involved, she needs the job and doesn’t want to ruin her chances after everything she has been through….but one camping trip with thunder and lightening, one small tent and sleeping bag, alone in the wilderness with each other….
This is my favourite out of all the previous books, steam, love at first sight, no drama, and River is not even close to being a man wh***, which made it for me the best one yet.

A collection of short steamy reads with laughs, no drama, steam, great characters and perfect for a quick break to make you smile.

Retreat to the Mountain
Oh my gosh! That was just so stinking cute. Eddy is this adorable mix of confident and nervous when he first meets Pepper. And she’s not in much better shape. Their meet-cute moment had me giggling uncontrollably. I loved how his life’s dream became something she could believe in as well, and support whole-heartedly. The ending was precious, and I can’t wait to read more about Moonshine Ridge. Especially the feisty little old ladies.
Driven to the Mountain
Oh my gosh! Current and Ginger are just the cutest together. They’re the perfect partners, in life and in business. And while I loved watching these two come to terms with just how quickly they fell for one another, it was the feisty little old ladies that totally stole the show for me. Bring on the sneakily plotting grannies! I’m here for this show.
Called to the Mountain
I need to start this by saying that Jackson totally stole the story out from under our leading couple. Rapid and Sage were pretty adorable together, but her son was a complete scene-stealer. I was charmed by all the small injuries Rapid took to Sage so that he could get to know her and her son. And my heart broke a little for all the responsibilities Sage had taken on when she realized what a louse her ex was. I loved seeing this little family come together and I can’t wait to watch the next Jones brother meet his match.
Running to the Mountain
Oh my gosh! That was just so incredibly sweet and adorable. My heart hurt to learn of the mess that Cinnamon got tangled up in thanks to her step-father, but River showed her that true love doesn’t see those kinds of labels. I thought it was such a refreshing take on love-at-first-sight to also have both members of our leading couple being inexperienced. I thought it made the connection between them all the more special. Now I can’t wait to read all out about the next family in Moonshine Ridge.
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.

Retreat to the Mountain
Enjoyed Pepper and Eddy's story. These two can't keep their eyes off each other while meeting for the first time in the local market. Pepper was warned to stay away from Eddy, so she does. As soon as she sees him the next time, all bets are off as they finally start their happily ever after.

Driven to the Mountain
Loved Current and Ginger. This mountain man story was both sweet and steamy. Ginger is new to town, but that doesn't stop Current from falling for her at first sight. Even if she has paint dripping down her body.

Called to the Mountain
I loved this book. Rapid is the perfect specimen of man. He's rugged, polite, down to earth and loves hard. Sage's son, Jax loves him and the feeling is mutual. Loved seeing these two together. Sage and Rapid's relationship builds from there and they're such a sweet family together.

Running to the Mountain
Loved Cinnamon and River's story. Love at first sight runs in the family for River, so he knew when he met the one, he shouldn't be surprised. Such a sweet story watching him and Cinnamon realize they were meant for each other.

Four wonderful love at first sight stories. Each brother finds their special one in unique ways. The books are entertaining, have their own bumps while trying to figure out their relationship. It’s not easy but each one is very stubborn & refuses to give up. I look forward to reading future books by Ms Ryder.
