I enjoyed the themes of “humanness” in this book, portraying an alien species as being guided by spiritual principles and wanting the best and highest good for everyone. However, it got a little heavy on the “God” talk for me in places. I’m not anti-Christian, but I’m definitely Pro Interfaith. As in, spirituality and compassion for others is wonderful, but let’s not go too heavy on dogma. Still, I think for a book of its time period it’s pretty wonderful and I enjoyed it a lot.
