Ebook version of the groundbreaking book Over Dinner & Other Strange Enchantments. What if dreams aren’t just echoes of the mind, but signals from beyond? In this mind-bending journey, artist Robert Girandola unravels 30 years of dreams, lucid dreams, and OBEs—scribbled in journals, typed on clacking keys, and painted in vivid oils. From a childhood OBE hovering over dinner to a robot with a bent-light brain, from twin-dreams echoing across years to bronzes blurring with a mentor’s ghost, these aren’t Freud’s shadows or Jung’s symbols—they’re cosmic transmissions. Through binaural beats and a painter’s eye, Girandola roams Jersey sod farms, Venetian cathedrals, and crystal portals, chasing a the human brain, a quantum parchment, etches the multiverse’s pulse. With nine stunning Plates—art born from these visions—this book blends raw experience with bold theory, shattering old views of dreaming. Part memoir, part manifesto, it’s a call to log your own strange enchantments and marvel at consciousness’s eternal reach.
I was intrigued by the author's viewpoints about the different types of dream experiences. His stories about OBEs got me to recall several consistent experiences I had as a pre-teen. The memory flooded back and still makes me smile. I wish I could experience that feeling again.
