I really thought I might like Utsuro, but she really is just insufferable. Though I think her fight scene has been the best one yet! I feel like the art is only getting better and better!

C’est avec ce genre de tome que je suis contente d’avoir donné une seconde chance à Gokurakugai et d’avoir poursuivi l’aventure. Il faut avoir le cœur bien accroché avec ce shonen, mais plus on avance dans l’histoire, plus je la trouve prenante. Et Alma et Tao ne cessent de devenir de plus en plus attachants, ce qui ajoute un peu plus de plaisir à cette lecture.

Un tome en deux parties, si l’on peut dire, car elles ont toutes les deux Yomi comme point central, mais elles touchent nos deux héros de façon distinctes. La première est la moins gore, mais celle qui joue le plus sur la corde sensible. On découvre la véritable identité de Yoru et par la même occasion le passé de Tao. C’est assez difficile à voir, et on ne peut pas rester indifférent face à ce qu’il se passe. Mais, Alma parvient encore une fois à « alléger » l’ambiance. Alors pas avec de l’humour, ça aurait été mal placé, mais il fait front et protège sa patronne, comme l’allié qu’il voulait devenir.

D’ailleurs, malgré le sang et la violence, je suis vraiment hypée par les scènes de combats. Elles sont vraiment bien faites autant visuellement que dans les enchaînements. C’est hyper important dans un shonen de ce type, donc bravo à Yuto Sano.

La deuxième partie poursuit dans notre découvre des Maga de Yomi. Nos héros mènent l’enquête et avec les dernières informations qu’ils obtiennent, on y voit un petit peu plus clair. C’est sympa d’en apprendre un peu plus au fur et à mesure, ce qui permet aussi de ne pas avoir des combats à répétition.

La nouvelle rencontre avec un Maga est plutôt gore. Cette deuxième partie de Gokurakugai est heureusement entrecoupée avec des scènes un peu plus légères, même si le lecteur sait qu’il y a un gros danger qui plane sur nos héros. Cela fait descendre un petit peu la pression, tout en nous gardant en alerte. Un bon équilibre. Alma est égal à lui-même, prêt à rendre service dès qu’on lui demande… ce qui n’est pas toujours pour son bien. Mais j’espère qu’il ne changera pas malgré ces dernières rencontres assez négatives. Il évolue par contre au niveau combativité et il est de plus en plus badass lorsqu’il se retrouve face au danger. Là encore, on adore.

Un tome quatre vraiment top pour Gokurakugai. On entre dans le vif du sujet et le mangaka maîtrise son intrigue ainsi que la gestion des émotions, celles des personnages mais aussi des scènes qui se déroulent sous nos yeux. Hâte d’avoir la suite, c’est certain.

it kinda unsettles me how realistic the mental health depictions of yuto sano are (at least for the ones in my experience) it was a solid volume, i cannot wait to see what happens next.

but i would advise refraining from reading this volume for the cases of manic depression and self-harm.

Los Magas son cada vez más interesantes y pinta muy bien el tema de sus poderes, que cada uno tenga unas habilidades según la forma en que murió. Original.

Y Utsuro... La tóxica definitiva. La red flag de manual.

A little too long between Volumes...
Highlights:
- Tao and Yoru meet and he refers to her as his sister. Flashbacks show her brother Jin and how she got involved in everything to protect him, but he "vanished/died"
- Jin created the alter ego of Yoru to protect himself from his father's abuse, but adopts it fully once he becomes a maga. Tao believes he might be behind a series of very odd deaths
- Alma makes deliveries on the side to make money. Delivering to regular customer Maki, he learns of and meets his ultra-jealous girlfriend Utsu
- Alma tries to help Maki commit fully to not looking at other women and remaining faithful to Utsu, but later she kisses him and kills him.
- Utsu comes to the office and says she has fallen for Alma. He reluctantly agrees to a date, but she becomes insane
- Alma and Utsu fight, becoming increasing more violent. She refuses to die and has a strong bond with Yoru. Tao is looking for them, assuming (probably correctly) that she is responsible for the odd deaths.

Next Volume needs to come faster!

Forse il volume più pregno di potenza ed emozione della serie finora:
In primo luogo, finalmente Tao perde la sua maschera da personaggio cliché di "donna macho indipendente". Per tutta la prima parte del volume si approfondisce (causa: un incontro inatteso) il suo passato e i suoi traumi, senza esclusione di alcuna forma di brutalità.
Nuovametne Sato ci dimostra quali profondità possa toccare un'opera che, di fatto, ha presupposti e protagonisti leggeri: stavolta si colpiscono temi di abusi su minori, alcolismo e suicidio, per citarne qualcuno.
Dopodiché si introduce il nuovo personaggio di Utsuro, una femme fatale (veramente), che porta il lettore, attraverso la sua presenza ed il suo passato, a vedere scene di violenza domestica e autolesionismo.
Il capitoletto aggiuntivo "dentro la testa di Tao" ci permette di riprendere un po' fiato, allegerendoci dopo un volume così carico di emozioni forti.
Non vedo l'ora di leggere il prossimo!!!

เปิดเล่มนี้มาก็ซึมเป็นอย่างมากเลยค่ะ ปมชีวิตของทาโอะกับน้องจิน(หรือโยรุ)โคตรจะแย่เลย แบบน้องเข้าใจผิดคิดว่าพี่ทิ้งตัวเองไปอ่ะ จนคิลตัวเองแล้วก็ได้มาเจอกับโยมิหลังจากนั้น… แต่ชอบตอนจินได้เจอกับอัลมามากเลย มันเด็กน้อยสุดๆอ่ะ ฮาาา

แล้วระหว่างนี้ก็มีคดีคนตุยเพียบ ในเรื่องมันก็บอกเรามานั่นแหล่ะว่าฝั่งโยมิใครเป็นคนทำบ้าง ซึ่งในเล่มนี้เล่าถึงเคสของอุสึ/อุสึโระก่อน (มี ⚠️TW เรื่องทำร้ายตัวเอง/กรีดข้อมือด้วยนะ‼️) แล้วฉากต่อสู้คือว้าวววว รายละเอียดดีเสมอต้นเสมอปลายเลยค่ะ

Honestly, this is the first manga series I stuck with, I ended up really loving it! Although this volume got suuuper dark. As always, the art is great, the story takes twists and turns and comes with lots of action (and blood), and the characters are interesting, mysterious, even funny; and gods why is everyone in this series so fucking pretty?!
