This was pretty good but the aesthetic and philosophical implications revealed were so complex that I had to lie down with a cool damp towel over my head after every paragraph.

Good fundamental research on interconnectedness of Fine Arts and Photography. It may seem a bit outdated considering it was published in the 70s but the basis also explains well enough how we consume imagery on social media and why our brain perceives the political photo-montage as real
