Picked this up somewhere down the line during my time at University. Pretty dated now but outlines the emergence of photography and how it intersected with and ‘threatened’ other art forms, charting the evolution of the two together in the 19th and 20th century. Curious to think about how AI is perhaps our contemporary example of this new technology and how it intersects with art, however I don’t think something made by artificial intelligence can be described as art in any regard.
