Reached #2 in Polyamory Romance across the entire US!
As a packless omega baker hiding my designation in sleepy Lakeview, I've built my reputation on perfectly laminated dough rather than mating bonds.
But as steam rises from the annual Baking Festival ovens, three irresistible alphas begin circling my demonstration table with hungry eyes.
Cole, the freshly returned firefighter with protective instincts that ignite desires I've spent years trying to suppress.
Dorian, the pastry conglomerate billionaire and honorary festival judge whose gaze suggests I might be his favorite dessert.
James, the infuriatingly talented competitor whose croissants are as sharp as his tongue—in every sense of the word.
With my future riding on the festival contest, I can't afford distractions. But as my trusty suppressant & scent-blocking drug mysteriously fails and the three alphas seem to materialize wherever I turn, I'm facing heat in more ways than one.
Can an omega who's sworn off relationships find the recipe for having it all? Or will I be forced to choose between my dreams and the love I never knew I craved?
Knot Your Sugar is part of a set of interconnected standalones that can be read in any order. This is a why choose romance with insta-love, low angst, and a guaranteed HEA. It contains knotting, heat, bondings, bites, MFMM, and absolutely no choosing!
At first I was loving the FMC but as the book went on, I developed an intense dislike for her. The self sabotage and hostility from her quickly got boring and I found myself losing interest in the book as a whole. Why would I want to read page after page of her lashing out and being a jerk to three clueless dudes? I become less and less interested in hearing her inner monologue assumptions about the 3 MMCs who hadn’t displayed any of the things that she was freaking out about. For me as a reader, an author has a very short window for this type of writing-10/15 pages top. If the author goes beyond that I consider it sloppy writing. It feels like the author can’t move the story forward and/or takes up way too much time with something that ultimately is a mistake on the main character’s part. Then by the time the FMC realizes the error of her ways-I don’t feel bad for her for being in a mess of her own making.
I appreciated Cole calling her out on her behavior in the train station because her whining about him leaving without saying goodbye WHILE SHE HERSELF IS AT THE TRAIN STATION LEAVING WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE was crazy business.
Creating conflict out of nothing but the FMC’s inner assumptions only works to a point and this took it way too far. It took up too much of the book and that was a flaw I couldn’t look pass. Which is a shame because outside of that-the book could have been great. Main character self sabotage can be a good for a book-it can add depth, explain things about the character and their goals but using it to fill so many chapters in this book made the book fall flat.
Currently 32% in Initial thoughts: FMC is as strong as a wet paper towel in a CAT 5 hurricane. She allows her best friend to bully her into having some "fun." She feels bad when she has to rush to get ready for a festival. She succumbs to BBS and allows herself to be in a position to be disqualified. She allows her boss to treat her terribly. She allows herself to be blackmailed. The one contestant is an asshole; condescending, egotistical and a know-it-all, but the FMC can't help but fall for him. *rolls eyes*
FMC needs a backbone. Yet, she won't develop one (is my guess).
40% FMC failed to defend herself against unwanted advances and needed a man to rescue her.
73% FMC continuously acts against what is in her best interest. She knows she can't be seen with a judge outside of competition, she does so anyway. She is allowing all of the alphas to bully and lay the seeds of control down, and she does nothing to stop it. Just as predicted, she hasn't grown a backbone yet. With 1/3 of the book left, I doubt it'll grow sometime soon.
**Completed book** At the core, this is a story about an omega who cannot keep her body in check around alphas. A story told time and time again.
I just didn't connect with any of these characters. I felt like it could have been really good but having them so separate for most of the story didn't do it for me. And I wish we had gotten more background on them, even our heroine I only semi understood why she hid her omega status and I got the feeling there was a lot more to the story.
These characters are insufferable or stupid. They make decisions that absolutely do not follow with what they want or should do. And James as a love interest? If this was a dark/bully romance maybe, but a “lighthearted” read? Hell no.
Let’s not forget how this festival/baking competition makes no sense. 3 hours to make food which is sold to the public sure, but for the fmc to slowly walk back to her station AND flirting WHILE on the clock was madness. I was stressing for her and it flipped back to… nothing. Also I have no idea how her apron caught on fire from a closed oven but okay….
2⭐️ This book was either: -written by AI and then not edited all that much, or - incredibly badly written, sprinkled with nonsense words and sentences.
At times, it felt like maybe it was originally a contemporary romance that got an odd AI omegaverse twist... Whichever one of those options it is, I was unimpressed and uninterested in the outcome. This is my first book by this author, and if this is truly their hard work I don't want to speak too badly on it, but I do know it will be my last.
The cover is cute tho.
🌶️🌶️/5: The spicy scenes here just made my opinion of this book worse. They were so... alpha-centric? I know that's not a thing, but in an omegaverse book, the fact that everyone felt more involved in the heat than her... Just no.
Not in the mood for insta-attraction. Nor am I impressed by someone trying to "innovate" when they're selling someone else's food. It's not cool to make something on the sly that you'll sell to a real customer.
Not bad but I stopped reading it because I guessed it would be too triggering for me. The story promised to be full of dramas, betrayals, and plotting and I didn't want to read that.
A nice, light, endearing and entertaining story of a girl terrified to reveal her true self. Who finds three men who, support her dreams and end up worshipping the ground she walks on. SOLID 4 STARS! There were a few cringe moments, but nothing a few internal screams and deep breaths couldn't solve. But seriously the baking competition had such Food Wars vibes, which is one of my favourite watch in the background series's. I do wish some parts were a little different and that we would have had a meet up between the boys and Elena's mom, but I suppose we can't have everything.
I like this book. A lot actually, despite how much I dislike large swaths of the FMC.
Let's start with the good: All three MMCs are really good characters overall. Cole is definitely my favorite, but Dorian is a close second. James takes up third because he has an unfortunate thread of jerk in his DNA but he mostly corrects all of his own true mistakes without any outside instigation. They all just dress in green flags for the vast majority of the book. Any red flags were handed to them by Elena with two notable exceptions: James being the alphahole his father raised on two occasions and Dorian begging her into a meet up after they've already acknowledged why they can't fraternize. The storyline itself is pretty interesting. How the author structured her competition is slightly unique but remains true enough to pop culture bake off style that it feels comfortable and recognizable. The town she created is pretty sweet and feels like a small town Hallmark movies setting. She doesn't build out the universe very much which leaves a few questions about Elena's choices (like I understand the daddy drama but that wouldn't be sufficient to hide yourself entirely). Overall the vagueness doesn't leave anything too confusing or bizarre for the reader to struggle through. The pacing is really great - fun, quickish read, neither too long nor too short. The editing is spot on; I can't think of any obvious error that distracted me out of the story.
*Spoilers beyond this point* And then we have Elena. Sigh. Honestly, by page 78 I had some concerns. You're an employee who makes below market value and, despite three competitive offers from local companies in the same field, you stay with the abusive boss? Because let's not kid ourselves here, a boss who pays you less than market salary, refuses you break times, belittles and disrespects you, all while dangling a non-existent position in your face is abusing his position and you. Bragging rights for working with him don't put food on your table (or your mother's in this case). Getting past that hurdle, Elena seemed to be a much more strong and capable FMC for a while but quickly began doing idiotic things. Dr tells you not to take duoblock pills less than 18 hours apart so she doubles the dose? Because that's a better choice how? Her interactions with Cole are fine, same with James (mostly) but with Dorian she self-sabotaged and proved why she needs an alpha keeper - she cannot be trusted to make decisions reasonably. If you are putting your entire future on the line with this competition, why are you putting the competition on the line by fraternizing with a judge? Be a big girl, tell him you need to focus and ask to speak after the festival ends. There were two other options but she grabbed the worst possible male at the worst possible time and *should* have lost everything. (She should also have taken the time to rip Pierre up one side and down the other in public because if he wasn't such an asshole employer she wouldn't have had to be in the competition in the first place). And then boom, all of her ideals and preconceived life choices and standards collapse like a souffle in two point five seconds because pretty alpha said nice thing once. It was too abrupt, too easy, too everything. Elena has these moments of competency and wit and capability but it's all overwhelmed by her idiocy and lack of backbone. The FMC should be the best character in the book since she is the focal character in any RH type novel. Elena is just not. She had the potential but fell way short of the mark. I loved pieces of her but not enough.
But I still really enjoyed the book. Which probably says more about the author's potential than anything else - I disliked the focal character but still like the book. That is not an easy balance beam to walk.
sweet and cozy vibes✔️ bit of angsty drama✔️ strong-willed, independent FMC✔️ hunky alphas✔️
Really loved this story for the most part! What did put a bit of a downer for me was near the end when the FMC got a bit overdramatic (in my eyes at least) and the "declarations of love" too cheesy / cringy. Also, James was giving a bit of slimy vibes in the beginning but I think he (mostly) redeemed himself. Overall I would rate it still as an enjoyable read and would recommend to my OV readers.
Thank you Eve Wolfe for the advanced copy! All opinions are my own.
This book is about an omega hiding from her designation, three years of hiding and during one of the most important weeks of her career so far, she stumbles upon three alphas who are hers, one after one. To make matters worse one of the alphas is a judge in the very competition she needs to win, one miss step can cause her to lose all she has worked for. How long can she fight biology? How long until her secret is revealed?
This is a romcom, a very lighthearted book, easy to read but also very complex. I love romcoms, but I also hate them. Secondhand embarrassment is strong in this one: this one being me. So while we had a few moments where I just wanted to sink through the floor they were also swiftly dealt with, thank goodness, easy to power through and then move past. I loved this book and is thrilled to see where the author takes us next!
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys omegaverse, to anyone looking for something lighthearted and fun.
I very much enjoyed the journey the author took us on, both through the competition, all the baking that took place (which also gave me many fun ideas for things to bake next) but also in the emotional journey of our main characters, how they grow and evolve, overcoming all the selfmade obstacles and challenges thrust upon them, after all, we will always be our own worst enemy. The issues and fears our characters face are real ones, they’re not over exaggerated as many books may show and off the top of my head, I can name probably 10 friends with the same issues we read about in this book, it’s real. At its core, this book is about breaking away from the limits and expectations we set upon ourselves and I think the author wrote and showed us that, beautifully.
I also have two quotes to share with you all that I think explains the fun sweetness of this book in a very simple way.
“But my hand, the traitorous appendage, has other ideas. Before my brain can issue a cease-and-desist order, I’m bringing the soft cotton to my nose, inhaling deeply, like a complete and utter lunatic.”
“It's my fortress of fluff, my den of desire, and stepping back into its center feels like coming home.”
DNF at 14%, not cozy at all The FMC is a talented baker and other bakeries already tried to poach her for a lot of money, which her mother and she desperately need, but she stays in unworkable conditions (almost no sleep or breaks, constant berating, no room to find individual strengths etc.), with low pay and with a horrible boss. And then she risks it all for a man. Instead of being an adult and communicating that they need to put anything between them on pause they don't. And risk everything she has worked so hard for.
The second MMC doesn't start out being interested in her and has an asshole personality. He is very competitive. How can a competition with such high stakes for the main characters be called a cozy read.
The book was frustrating to read. Elena came across as dumb and reckless, while James came off as rather sleazy. The other two main characters hardly left an impression. Despite my love for baking shows like Bake-Off, everything in the plot outside of the baking felt forced. The story lacked a natural flow, and the situations the characters encountered seemed overly contrived, making it difficult for me to be invested in their journeys. DNF.
I cannot believe that I forced myself to read the entirety of what is very clearly an AI-generated book with semi-decent editing to try and cover up that fact, but here we are. This one would’ve been a DNF for me had I not been trying to figure out why no other reviews have pointed out how much of this has been very clearly chat gpt generated and/or ripped off from other authors.
An AI generated cover which rips off another popular omegaverse rom-com cover (you can tell it’s AI from looking at the hand/font on the sugar pot/the sketch style of the drawings), AI generated description, AI generated summary of omegaverse, AI generated character art which is also included on every single chapter (again in the exact same style as another very popular omegaverse author), and anyone unfortunately familiar enough to have read what are very obviously AI written books can see the tell tale signs all over this hot mess. Maybe this is just a personal preference for me as AI is something that I am hugely against but it was so very obvious in this book that I’m truly surprised to have not seen any other reviews pointing this out yet. I’ll give credit somewhat where it’s due in that the author has clearly taken some time to try and cover the AI use up, but I’m not just talking about excessive em dash use here, I’m talking about strange structure, repetitiveness, bizarre descriptions, and overall messiness throughout the whole book and its plot. They thankfully didn’t leave any prompts in the book as others have done before, but it’s all very easy to spot, especially parts that make next to no sense or are brushed over way too quick along with the completely lack of depth for the characters (all of them).
The idea was cute enough, but the execution was damn near terrible, and it’s clear the whole thing was in desperate need of a good edit and better formatting. It would have probably been a much better book had it actually been planned, written by the author, and professionally edited. There’s too much monologuing and telling all the time rather than an actual story. Also to add, the FMC sucked - she was completely unrelatable, had next to no depth, and I echo the reviews of others as to how annoying she was.
The last thing I want to do is shit all over authors, since you guys are the ones delivering the content and keeping us well fed, but I am so sick of this AI bull**** and I am super surprised that nobody else has called out this one for it yet. Authors, do better. Readers, wise up. This is so bad for the book community and for our planet and shouldn’t be supported or encouraged. Let me guess, the author will magically have a new book out in the series in no time at all, followed by more quick fire releases… Either way, I’ll definitely read, as I do believe that one bad book doesn’t make for a bad author. But this one just was not it.
If you're looking for a sweet (excuse the pun) omegaverse romcom standalone, this is the book for you! Apart from the self sabotage from our fmc Elena, this was very lowkey drama in this small town romance! I have read a few books based around the fmc being a baker and I do enjoy it, having the plot based around a baking festival was new to me in omegaverse. It was a great change of pace from my usual darker romance reads. Elena's self sabotage comes from past family trauma but overall she was a likeable character and well developed. The pacing of the story was well done, the plot kept me interested and I liked the spicy scenes as well as the development between the love interests. All had fleshed out personalities with flaws, catchy personality traits and were likeable too. This is definitely medium to fast burn but there is plenty of sweet moments in between!
For the love interests, we have Dorian whose a mysterious stranger one night and turns out to be one of the judges at the festival the next. Elena and Dorian have their dance throughout trying to resist their attraction as to not risk Elena's position in the festival. Dorian is wanting to explore his attraction with Elena but finds himself conflicted with his current position. Next is the charismatic James whose a fellow competitor within the festival and finds himself slowly falling for Elena while fighting the urge to use gathered blackmail against her. James dreams of opening his own bakery and winning the competiton will open doors for him but he is conflicted between that and a future with Elena. Finally we have Cole, a returning local firefighter whose there to watch over the festival's fire safety. Cole's is definitely the more silent protector whose dedicated his life to saving lives and finds himself falling for Elena while observing at the festival.
Hated FMCs self sabotaging monologues and she says that the MMCs have all these assumptions about her when she herself has assumptions against them. Talk about a hypocrite.
The lashing out was really uncalled for. I get it with what happened to her mom and all but come on... i feel like it was overly done and she's just twisting shit for the sake of drama. And accusing them of fetishizing her...? Like thats not at all what they were doing. Yeh i get it shes trying to hide her designation but damn...id walk away if i were these guys. Scent match be damned.
I also dont know if its just me but some of the chapters feels like im reading an essay instead of a story...? I dont know...
I did not feel an attachment towards any of these characters and they are all so mid. With all the RH/WC books Ive read, i almost always have atleast 1 character that im attached to but i just cant with any of these characters.
80% - wtf??? After lashing out at the guys the day before saying that "shes been fine by herself for years" then suddenly drags one of the guys in a bush the next day to help her through her "unexpected" heat that the guys warned her about. Holy fuck... this girl basically molested the man she verbally abused the day before.
84% - elena to cole: "you were just going to leave without saying goodbye?" LMAAOOO GIRL YOURE ALSO AT THE STATION BECAUSE YOU ARE LEAVING AND DIDNT SAY GOODBYE.
I HATE THIS FMC. I really dont know why these 3 are attracted to her other than how she bakes good treats and she smells good.
100% - the romance was rushed at the end. Girl needed to grovel but she really didnt. she dont deserve their I love yous so quickly. Ugh SHE DID NOTHING TO REDEEM HERSELF EXCEPT WIN A DAMN COMPETITION THAT REALLY WASNT FOR REDEEMING HERSELF. I hate that the guys easily forgave her for her verbal abuse.
This was a sweet and cozy Omegaverse book. The story was well-written and I adored the characters in the book.
As a reader, I tend to prefer sweet romance stories that end in a HEA. I don’t like a lot of drama and I’m not really into dark romance. For me, I need my Omegaverse books to provide a sweet story with tons of affection for the omega, and this story delivered.
Elena, the FMC, is an omega that has been hiding her designation. She is a baker, and she meets her mates a when they come to her small town for a baking competition. One is a judge, another a fellow competitor and there is also the firefighter. Chaos ensues as they try to work things out and come together as a pack.
I love stories where the omega builds her pack around her, instead of an already established pack finding their omega, and this one was well done. The alphas were all charming and clearly smitten with Elena.
I loved Elena’s interactions with the three alphas. Each of the men was quite different and provided a certain something that she needed. Cole was the most serious of the men, protecting Elana and providing safety. James was a bit more lighthearted and brought the fun. And Dorian was the billionaire businessman that pulled it all together. Together, I really loved their story.
This was a great Omegaverse story if you are looking for a sweet and cozy read.
I feel like a dope, so I read this book and finished it today. But I’ve got soup for brains (50 hours of work in a week will do that) and since the next book in this series wasn’t read I read a different book by this author and was disappointed. Any-who, this book is delightful! I tend to lean towards big action and angst but felt a little snuggly Sweet book was what this week called for! And this one was sweet. But, it was also very funny and quirky. All of the baking references were hilarious and well placed. I enjoyed the natural feeling of the progression of the relationships between the main characters. And how stinking cute is that little town!?! Had me on Zillow looking for my own little slice of small town. I’m very pleased I read this book before the first book by this author or I would not have given this one a chance. But it was very well written, only two things I feel like could be construed as plot holes, first is the BFF. She seems like a throw in to take up some space and show the MFC is like a real girl. And the story behind the mom and dad splitting up. It plays and integral part of the story but it’s only referenced vaguely as an excuse for her aversion to Alphas. Otherwise very well done! If you want a calm, easy read that will have you cackling at the quirky pastry references this is the story! Happy Reading Friends!
Knot Your Sugar is a cozy, feel-good omegaverse romance that perfectly blends small-town charm with bakery sweetness and plenty of spice. I loved the setup of an omega baker determined to build her life around croissants and festivals instead of bonds—only to find herself surrounded by three very different, very tempting alphas.
The pack dynamic had a fun variety:
Cole, the protective firefighter, was steady and grounding.
Dorian, the billionaire judge, added indulgence and intensity.
James, the rival baker, brought sharp banter and competitive sparks.
Together, they created a mix of personalities that kept things lively while still maintaining the light, low-angst tone. The baking festival backdrop added a delightful coziness—sweet treats, competition, and rising tension both in the ovens and outside them.
The romance leaned insta-love, but in a way that worked for the story’s romcom vibe. There’s plenty of spice (with knotting, heat, and bonds all on the table), but it never loses its sweetness. I also appreciated that the heroine’s independence and ambitions as a baker weren’t completely overshadowed by the romance.
Overall: Knot Your Sugar is a cozy omegaverse romcom that delivers exactly what it promises—sweet, spicy, and satisfying, with a guaranteed HEA. Perfect if you’re looking for a lighter, low-angst why-choose read with both charm and heat.
I really enjoyed this cute and sweet omegaverse story.
Elena is an omega who has been living as a beta for years in order to pursue her dreams. She has been an apprentice at Pierre’s bakery for years and finally has the chance to be promoted, but only if she can place in the top three of the town’s festival baking competition. Elena does not expect the attraction she feels for Damian, one of the judges, James, a fellow contestant, or Cole, the festival’s fire safety officer. She has to navigate all of those relationships while also trying to focus on winning the competition for herself and her mom. But what happens when her biology starts to overpower the medication could spell disaster for Elena and all three alphas.
I loved the playful banter between Elena and James! They were absolutely adorable together. Cole was so sweet and patient with her, but he definitely knew how to turn up the heat! I also really enjoyed how all three alphas seemed to be drawn to Elena without knowing exactly why. I did feel that the storyline was a little predictable at times, but I still really enjoyed reading it.
This was cute, a nice sweet OV with a baking theme. I liked the idea of a baking competition, it was a unique setting for the story to unfold. Some parts of the story felt a bit overly exaggerated or just didn’t ring true for me, and I felt like I needed a bit more depth from each main character. I liked all of the MMCs and the FMC, but I wanted to know more about them. I wanted more background. I felt like their back stories were more told, not shown or felt. It’s precisely because I liked them that I felt like something was missing, or that I wanted to know more.
The set up of this OV world had some different components to what I’m used to. There were no betas in packs, and it seemed to be assumed that no alpha or omega would ever be interested in a beta, which was an interesting complication to having an omega FMC pretending to be a beta. I didn’t love how betas seemed to be talked down about at times: “but she’s just a beta!” But it is a very different world, so it is what it is.
Overall, a fun, light, quick read. I’d love to see more of this pack, get a better feel for them. I feel like they could have cute spin off novellas.
Let me start by saying that I thought the story was cute, I liked the premise and the author has a decent style.
That being said, I felt like there was a lot of development missing. The characters and plot are paper thin. Cole and Dorian barely have any personality to speak of. Cole actually felt completely superfluous to the plot. Elena and James were slightly more interesting. But even in their case, it felt like there was SO MUCH missing context. That lack of character depth makes it difficult to actually care about anything that happens.
Additionally, the ending was rushed. It felt like a series of shortcuts. Elena’s perspective does a 180 in like an hour span. Like all the behaviour that’s been presented like profoundly ingrained in her the whole book suddenly evaporates. It made not sense.
As for spice, it is very mild (slightly spicier in that one scene at the very end). I was kinda expecting more from an omegaverse books, but I guess that’s more personal expectations.
As I said, all in all a cute story but I hope the author spends more time building deeper characters and more developed plot in future books.
This book was disappointing to be honest after reading the blurb I thought it was going to be a good one but found myself getting really bored and the FMC was getting so annoying. She was a rude and mean to the guys for no reason how were they supposed to know her feeling and that she wasn't telling them being an omega the whole time. They were just worried about her and she snap at them multiple times for it. The "Spicy" scene were boring and felt like closed door until the end of the book. Also by the end when they all end up together the guys start calling her pet names out of no where and never the same thing its annoying. James and Dorian called her sugar a couple times in the beginning and that was fine but in the end, she Cherie, princess, baby, sweetheart, and I think like one other name all in the span of 3 pages the same day. Also Dorian starts talking French in the end when he doesn't in the whole book its like the author remember she gave him a small French background and wanted to make him talk like that it was weird and threw me off. All in all this fell flat for me I won't be reading the next one.
Everyone loves a yearning, pathetic man. But this time, there are THREE OF THEM. That's right. Three times the yearning, three times the pathetic-ness, three times the worshipping. This was a pretty cozy read for the most part. Veeeery heavy on the baking aspect, but that's kinda in the name ngl. I'm a very beginner baker, so I have no clue how accurate any of that was, but it seemed fine.
The sex scenes were honestly pretty tame for an omegaverse book, which I surprisingly liked. It was a nice change of pace from what I normally read. I did feel bad for the situation Elena was in and, unlike other reviews, I didn't find her completely unbearable. Omegaverse is a fantasy and you kind of have to separate yourself from the idea that she could "just resist" what was happening to her. That's just how most omegas are in most books *shrug*
Yeah, James was a complete asshole for the most part, but you can't have them all. Dorian being a billionaire was eh. But Cole? Oh I'd let him put out my fires any day.
Overall, I would probably give this a 3.5, but rounded to 4 because GR is a piece of trash for not allowing half stars and that's not the author's fault.
This book was just such a cute/easy read. One of my favorite omegaverse books by far!!
Elena has promised herself that she would never be seen as an Omega or claimed by an Alpha after her Alpha father left her mother and her when she was very young. Leading her mother to give up on dreams and work multiple jobs for them to scrape by.
Elena spent her whole like taking blockers to ensure that everyone around her thought she was a beta, she refused to be put into a box, controlled, forced to give up her dreams just because she was an omega. She wanted one day wanted to own her own bakery and finally be able to unleash her creativity--but for the time being she was working as an apprentice to a famous baker in her small town, with the promise that if she won the upcoming baking competition she'd be promoted and with that comes a big salary hike and takes her one step closer to her dreams.
She can't have any distractions--she has to win, enter three Alphas who turn who world upside down.
This is a story filled with instalove, emotional turmoil for all parties and scent matches (essentially omegaverse fated mates).
I loved each and every character although let me say there was a certain baking partner (looking at you James) that I 100% hated for a bit. I think there was a lot of growth on Elena's part emotionally, really finding it in herself to try and put herself and what she wants above her fears. We see some fear/uncertainty in the MMCs, but each individual and specific to their situations although all feel the immediate pull to Elena.
Let's just say this book is filled to the brim with a bit of everything, spice, angst and happy endings. There are some aspects that I would've really loved to have been flushed out more, which is why I'm at a 4, probably more so 4.5 review, but I highly recommend.
Shes a baker in the competition, James is also a contestant, Dorian is a judge so that's alr scandalous, and cole is safety fire fighter department person. They all in the competition and apparently the boys find out they're scent matches of her but everyone thinks she's a beta cuz she never outed herself as an omega due to fear and more. They think shes a late bloomer and doesn't know she's omega so they try explaining it to her near the finals. She obv didn't like that. And the thing is her heat is close and in the finals she feels it coming so she hooks up with Dorian quick but obv also gets caught and gets disqualified so she gets stressed and depressed abt it and leaves but turns out James was able to turn the opinion and she ends up champion of the competition. She also makes whole speech of how shes sorry for closing them all out and liek pushing them away, they reconcile and have heat and yea. Not the best rlly cuz it was too stressful and scandalous with the competition. Plus I would've wanted more omega content.
