Ren: A Grumpy/Sunshine Romance

Rate this book
AYLA

I come to the woods to photograph a reclusive sculptor for a gallery feature.

A few quiet days. A cottage stay. A grumpy man with hands like poetry carved who I’m 100% NOT going to fall for.

That’s it. That’s the plan.

But when I meet Ren Cross, I find that he isn’t just gruff and off-limits—he’s kind beneath the silence. Gorgeous in a way that undoes me.

Plus, he’s smoking hot, with big arms like a man that’s been carrying wood for years.

When he lets me in, I forget how to stay on the outside.

REN

I live in the woods, carving beauty from raw timber and keeping to myself. My studio is my sanctuary—no noise, no visitors, no surprises.

Then, Ayla shows up.

With that smile. Those curves. And suddenly visitors don’t seem all that bad.

She’s here to photograph my work, all soft eyes and bright questions, seeing more than I want her to.

I try to ignore it—the pull of her. The way she fits here like she was carved to match the space I swore I’d never share.

But the more she stays, the more I want to stop hiding.

Even if letting her in means everything else could fall apart.

Ren is a steamy instalove romance full of mugs of tea, wood carving, and sizzling chemistry with a HEA.

Ren is a short and steamy, opposites-attract, age-gap, grumpy-sunshine, forced-proximity, small-town romance. Ayla is a sweet photographer. Ren is a hunky, grumpy, reclusive sculptor and woodworker. Ayla is spending a few days taking photos for an article. He is not happy initially but is drawn to her the second he sees her. She feels the same pull. These two had great chemistry and we got a happy ending after some minor angst. 3.5☆s.
