Where the Music Grows
I see my life in terms of music….
Jack Hayes is a farm kid who, though he's strong and fit, and has a great set of abs, isn't cut out for farming. He's bullied because he's different. To the disappointment of his father, Jack wants to sing and play guitar.
There's nothing in a judgmental small town that will ever allow him to grow and spread his wings.
So, Jack leaves and heads south where he ends up at a dive bar with no money, and a truck low on gas.
Camping on some stranger's land, the owner doesn't kick him off, but kind of gets his story and offers him a chance to play his music at her bar.
The owner also has a niece, who Jack thinks might just be a good reason to stay a little longer.
Will Jack grow to understand the parts of himself that still seek approval, and learn to let his talent shine through for himself instead of things always being about proving something to someone else?
