Unlock the power of healing and resilience— Soul Leadership equips leaders to transform trauma into strength, creating healthier organizations and communities through practical strategies rooted in science and spiritual wisdom.

Is unprocessed trauma silently sabotaging your leadership? If so, everyone around you is paying the price.

When leaders break down, the fallout isn’t contained—it ripples through families, teams, organizations, and communities. Yet 94 percent of leaders carry trauma that’s impacting their decision-making and actions every day, whether they recognize it or not.

Author, Dr. Steve Robinson, has discovered that experiencing trauma doesn’t make someone unfit to lead—but not addressing it can. Through years of experience leading a large organization and facing significant challenges, he developed powerful insights about stress, trauma, and resilience. In his personal healing journey, he also discovered a powerful post-traumatic growth.

Many leaders don’t realize they’re operating with traumatized and fragmented minds. They grind through challenges while living isolated, develop unhealthy coping mechanisms, and make critical decisions while emotionally dysregulated. The cost? Broken organizations, damaged relationships, and leadership failures that impact others.

This book offers a revolutionary framework called the Soul-Leadership Cycle that transforms unprocessed trauma into leadership strength. It’s not just about surviving—it’s about emerging stronger and wiser through adversity.

Inside this powerful guide, you will

The Trauma-Trigger Identify how unprocessed pain creates emotional landmines that explode in key leadership moments The Resilience Build resilience by increasing capacity before a crisis hits—and even afterward—through key relationships, physical and emotional health, and spiritual disciplines The Growth Transform trauma into wisdom using neuroscience-backed techniques for rewiring the brain The Shalom Integrate the fragmented mind through biblical principles that restore wholeness Crisis-Response Learn what to do when leaders or those they lead experience crisis-induced trauma Too often, leadership books ignore the neurobiological reality of trauma. Dr. Robinson’s approach integrates groundbreaking research with time-tested spiritual wisdom. The result is a practical roadmap that works whether recovering from catastrophic events or the slow-building pressure of leadership demands.

The most powerful truth? As leaders heal, everyone they lead experiences the benefits. Personal transformation creates ripple effects that build healthier families, teams, and organizations.

For those ready to transform wounds into wisdom, stop letting past trauma hijack decisions, and create environments where people truly flourish—this book provides a blueprint to make it happen.

Listen now and begin your healing journey that will shape the future of everyone you lead.

I'm glad this is a book. I really appreciate that there is something for people who have experienced trauma and for those who lead those who do. Robinson does an excellent job of blending the scientific and the spiritual about how the Lord helps us grow through trauma.

This is a great read for those in positions of influence, those who have experienced traumatic seasons, and for those who care about other people.

One thing that I think would make this book on notch better is if it had a chapter that more deeply explored what trauma is and how people experience it. There are many passing examples of this in the book, but I have found that many people who struggle with overcoming trauma don't recognize that they have it (this kind of experience is abnormal, or that moment can shape your reality) think this book could be particularly impactful to those individuals.

What a great book. Many leadership books talk about self leadership, discipline, and managing yourself well, but Soul Leadership goes deeper and focuses on the condition of the leader’s soul as the true source of leadership. Dr. Steve Robinson brings clarity to the reality that leadership does not primarily flow from systems, effort, or execution, but from internal alignment, health, and stewardship of the soul. This shifts leadership from simply doing the right things to becoming the right kind of leader on the inside.

My favorite part of the book was the stress continuum. This tool helps you clearly identify where you are and gives you awareness so you can properly manage your stress before it begins to impact your leadership. It provides practical clarity and helps leaders stay healthy and aligned over time.

This book is really great content for any leader to know and be aware of. It brings awareness to the responsibility leaders have to steward their soul well, because everything flows from that place. It is not just about leading people well, but about leading from a place of internal health so leadership remains clear, strong, and sustainable long term.

This book is absolutely essential for every leader.
Brilliant, enlightening, extremely practical- I’ve never read another leadership book like it.

Many people have been negatively impacted by authority figures in their lives; this book provides clarity and compassion as you discover the potential root causes of those leader’s actions, and how you can prevent yourself from negatively impacting those you lead.
Not only that, but it provides a pathway to ensure leadership longevity that’s marked by integrity and faithfulness.
I want to send it to every leader I know.

Didn’t realize I got a pre-release copy that’s hype…Pastor Steve is a remarkable communicator and leader. As good as this book is, hearing him speak to these topics a few weeks ago at Milestone was even better. Grateful for his vulnerability with his story and for the influence his work at the intersection of faith, therapy, and brain science will have on his church and through the broader ARC network.
