EWAN: A Winter Mafia Romance
A sassy teacher meets a broody secret mobster.
What could go wrong?
He swore off women like her, and she just got out of a marriage. Sparks fly, the chemistry is off the charts, and what begins as casual banter turns out to be a riddle.

The whole point of the festive event is to have the first graders meet Santa, get their gifts, and take pictures with him.
So when the man I've hired to play Santa gets picked up by the police––don't ask––I have no choice but to go with one of my favorite first graders' suggestion and invite his nineteen year old cousin to replace him.
With no time to vet the guy, we hope for the best and are all happy when the man in question walks into the room decked out in a red costume.
Unfortunately, there is a glaring problem.
The tall, broad-shouldered man rocking the red costume like it's nobody's business has the hard body of a grown-up, the burning eyes of a man who has seen too much in this life, and the intricate tattoos of an inmate.
For sure, he is not the nineteen year old we have expected.
Despite the awkward moments, we make do, trying to ignore his grumpiness that could easily ruin our party.
All goes well, and the event is about to wind down when the kids insist I should take a picture with Santa.
Livid, I argue against the idea in vain before I sit on his lap, and have a life-altering experience.
But things are more complicated than this, and what begins as an all-consuming attraction becomes a dark pit in which I'm about to lose my soul.

Once again Shayne is throwing us for a loop. With this slow burn which is soon to turn into a burning inferno. Which start with the most unexpected attraction between a smart mouthed elementary teacher and the hot hunk filling in as Santa. Ewan is a man that keeps to himself. Having loved and lost he's not looking for the change that's about to happen when he fills in at his nephew's school. Scarlett on the other hand is expecting a 19 years older to fill in for the Santa who got arrested. What she got is a real jerk with a mean glare. As the party nears it end it's her turn to sit on Santa lap and let's just say this is the beginning of the end in a good way. Little does she know, she awaken the overly possessive protective man. This little gem is a must read and as always when reading a book by Shayne you'll get more than you bargain for,

Scarlett is a smart mouth elementary school teacher providing a Santa for the Christmas just happens to bring her a hot and handsome hulk that will change her future in more ways than just one of her side hustle.
Ewan is a man with secrets who keeps to himself until he gets a call about his child being in the hospital tricks him into playing Santa at his nephew's school that very night to do the favor, when he meets the teacher he is so taken he acts a real jerk to Scarlett and it annoys and intrigues her. Adult storyline, the characters are very entertaining. I read Arc copy without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.

How far Is Ewan willing to change his life to have Scarlett in it?
It has been years since Ewan has been with anyone after his wife’s death. He did not want to bring another woman into his family. But when he meets Scarlett, he has been alone for so long that he is instantly, possessively, protectively attracted to her. They start off slow, but once it takes off, it’s like a lightning bolt hit both of them. Such a wonderful love story. Ewan cannot get enough of Scarlett. She completes him like no one ever has. Beautiful story. Wonderful romance.

If I was allowed I'd tack on extra stars to this book it captivated me from the beginning. There's just something about Ewan and Scarlett's story aside from being magnificent that's beyond simple words and had me reading till my eyes were blurry and even then I couldn't put the book down. I've read many of Ms.Ford's books and loved them all, but I'm very partial to this one.

Another great book by Ms. Ford! She once again brings strong characters and weaves a terrific mafia romance. She pulled me in with the heat and steam and kept me turning the pages with a slow burn which turns into an inferno. She kept me turning the pages right to the end, moves it fluidly and delivers an awesome read. Loved and recommend.

This authors books are so intriguing. They suck you in with mystery. Never disappoints. Then ending was a little abrupt but the rest of the story makes up for it.

This was such a good book. Ewan and Scarlett were amazing characters with irresistible chemistry. I loved the sparks and chemistry they shared. I found there story very engaging and thought it was well balanced. Suspense, drama, danger and intensity are skillfully combined with emotions, heart, feels and humor to create a seductive read that I simply devoured.

'Ewan' is the second book in Shayne Ford's "The Bard Dynasty." While the blurb provides a general synopsis, it doesn't capture the intense emotions, individual doubts, and conversations that arise between the two main characters. The book beautifully portrays a mafia boss who thoughtfully weighs the pros and cons before taking action. Additionally, it is inspiring to see a woman who, despite her reservations, chooses to trust her instincts rather than overthink everything. This was an absolute must-read for me, and it’s a story I plan to revisit often.

I started reading Ms. Ford's stories some time ago!
I have called her the master of serial series!
Everything I have read has drawn me in and held me captive for many entertaining and satisfying hours!
The Bard Dynasty stories have been no different!

Yes. Another 5 star plus read from Shane Ford. Scarlett, a first grade teacher and Ewan, a mob boss. Huh?? They just couldn't keep their hands off of each other. Everything was wrong about them. Yet so full of steam.
This story sounds like lots of other stories, but Ms. Ford writes her characters more true to life. She writes with dual perspectives. They have doubts. They fumble. They spar. They tease. They brood. They keep secrets. They question. They enjoy.
So entertaining!

What a book this is. Scarlett has organised a Christmas party for the children she teaches and then they get told they have no Santa as there’s was in prison. So one of the pupils says his cousin would do it. He agrees then was in an accident and persuade his father to do it. The Santa suit is too small for him but he makes it work. Then he sees Scarlett and he likes her. So starts there relationship. I’m not going to spoil the rest only to say you’ll enjoy it.

I loved this intriguing mafia romance with secrets, past issues, drama, possible danger, plenty of chemistry and steam, with instant attraction. The MCs are intelligent, independant, likable, are opposites , and made for one another. I enjoyed reading this entertaining and engaging storyline. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

I actually liked this book more than Callan's story. It had more grit, an obvious affiliation with the mafia, and the psycological demands on Ewan's relationships. The chemistry with the two MC's had steam coming off the pages. I would have liked to see more back story on Margot, her death and how Ewan navigated to where he is today.

Ewan: A Winter Mafia Romance (THE BARD DYNASTY) by Shayne Ford. Ewan and Scarlett are amazing together. I enjoyed the back and forth, the passion, the pause, and the personal struggle and growth for both. I thought this story was well written and entertaining.

Another great, steamy book by Shayne. Scarlett and Ewan were wonderful, believable characters! Shayne developed them in a magnificent way! The school teacher and a secret mob boss! They get their HEA but in a twisted, roundabout way! Great book 2 in the Bard series! Excited to read book 3 and 4!!!

Right from the start the chemistry is intense, steamy and has a magnetic hold that makes it hard for these two to go their separate ways. There's drama a bit of danger with plenty of steamy chemistry and gets a bit emotional with a twisted and some what of a relationship intervention that quickly spins this story into a cheeky smiling ending. An exciting page turner and a perfect addition to this series.
