Dad says that the Alpha who makes the trek across the country and slays the dragon can be my mate to rule the kingdom alongside me.
Well, I’m done waiting for them to fail again this year.
This time, I’m going to slay my own dragons.
Armed with my Beta wolf and a dagger from my mother, I’m not expecting to actually find the monsters I’ve only heard stories about.
Except... they aren’t monsters. They’re shifters too.
And these terrifying women just so happen to be my mates.
Fire and Fate is an 18+ FFFF Shifter Omegaverse following a fierce Omega, two possessive Alphas, and a protective Beta who won’t allow her Omega to lose. A mixture of wolf and dragon shifters, a kingdom on the edge, and a princess who's done letting the world fight for her. TW/CW in the Author's Note.

I really liked this OV shifter book. I don’t read many of them but I really enjoyed this one. It was unique and the plot had a good depth to it.
I really enjoyed getting to know the FMCs. Each one was unique and beautiful and they fit together so well. Each bringing something different to the relationship.
Overall, such a good book! Recommend if you like OV PNR.
Holy smokes!! Could not put this book down!! From the first page it had me hooked! I couldn’t help but fall in love with Kaia, Alessia, Solace and Zara!! Absolutely amazing!!!
Every plot point is reexplained a minimum of three times and each character talks themselves in circles and repeats what the last two people said. I really wanted to like this but yikes
This was actually my very first F/F/F/F Omegaverse book, and wow—what an introduction to the subgenre. N. Slater absolutely does not disappoint. I’ve loved her writing across every world and pairing she’s created, so I wasn’t surprised that she delivered something this engaging, emotional, and completely addictive. But as my first experience with a four-FMC OV dynamic? It was such a strong, memorable place to start, and honestly, it made me even more excited to explore this side of the Omegaverse further.
The worldbuilding immediately pulled me in—rich, paranormal, and full of that instinctive tension and pack-style connection that OV fans crave. I loved how N. Slater balanced the heat, the emotion, and the complexity of building a relationship between four women with different instincts, strengths, and personalities. Nothing felt confusing or overcrowded. Instead, each character added something essential to the story, and watching them come together felt so natural and satisfying.
The wolf and dragon shifter elements were such a fun twist. The contrast between the fiery, fierce dragon traits and the loyal, instinct-driven wolf dynamics made their bond even more unique. It added layers of tension, trust, and magic that kept me hooked page after page.
One of my favorite aspects was the found family theme. These women weren’t just forming a romantic bond—they were creating a safe place, a home, and a sense of belonging that each of them desperately needed. Their connection felt earned, heartfelt, and beautifully crafted. And I loved that the story didn’t rely on unnecessary drama or the dreaded miscommunication trope. No third-act breakup—just real emotional growth, supportive bonding, and a steady build toward a truly satisfying ending.
And speaking of endings—they absolutely delivered the HEA I wanted. Warm, hopeful, and full of love.

Overall, this was a captivating, emotional, and wonderfully written introduction to a new corner of the Omegaverse, and I’m so glad this was my first experience with it. N. Slater continues to impress with every story she puts out.
Fire and Fate completely pulled me in from the start. This Omegaverse shifter story was incredibly inspiring and kept my attention the entire time. I loved getting to know Kaia, Solace, Alessia, and Zara—each character felt distinct, powerful, and emotionally engaging.
The story is written in a way that makes it easy to connect with both the characters and the world they live in. The blend of wolf and dragon shifters, along with the fierce, determined omega who refuses to let fate decide her future, made this such a compelling read.
Overall, this was an amazing reading experience and more. If you love strong heroines, fated mates, and shifter Omegaverse stories that break boundaries, this book is definitely worth picking up. 🔥🐺🐉
I was a bit hesitant to read this book as the author doesn’t seem to write much sapphic but on this one I was really pleasantly surprised. Great characters, great world and really greatly written. To be honest I really enjoyed this book and hope the rest in the serious are also sapphic and just as good. Highly recommended.
I loved this author's take on an omegaverse, with the usual Alphas, Betas, and Omegas, as well as heats, but also incorporates dragons and wolves. It hooked me from the start.
If you like FFFF, shifters, omegaverse, drama, finding oneself and humour (the giving birth part had me laughing out loud), this is the book for you.
Fire and Fate by N. Slater @authornslater. As always, a great book by Nic!
