The Love Was Always There. The Timing Was Never Right. Until Now...
Sweet Nora Clayton has always put others’ needs first before her own. Because of this, Nora stayed in an unhappy marriage for the sake of her daughter. Now an empty-nester and at the ripe age of fifty, Nora is now divorced from her husband after putting up with his cheating for years. Nora wants to live the rest of her life in peace and is resigned to never fall in love again. What Nora doesn’t count on is the sexy CEO of the company she works for setting his sights on her.
Thaddeus “Thad” Sanborn, President and CEO of one of the most successful communications companies in the country has reached the pinnacle of his career. There’s no business deal he can’t close. No offer has ever been rejected and there have never been any terms he couldn't negotiate. He’s stayed on top of the game while raising three sons on his own. Thad is handsome, rich, successful and has been voted one of the most eligible bachelors over the age of fifty in Savannah. So, why is getting his Vice President’s executive assistant to notice him so damn hard?
The attraction between Thad and Nora has always been present but dismissed due to company rules against fraternizing. So, what happens when these two travel together to the beautiful island of Maui to close a multi-million-dollar deal?
Things heat up, of course! For Thad, the decision is simple; he wants Nora in his life. But for Nora, who is still healing from her divorce, it’s not quite that simple. Ultimately, she must decide which she wants to her career or the love of a lifetime?
RIGHT ON TIME is a novella featuring an interracial romance between an MMC and FMC fifty years of age and older. This spicy little, short story is the perfect little intro to the SENSUAL SILVERS series featuring “smut for your mama” with main characters who find the love later in life. This series will bring all types of heat and sensual scenes without all the 'heavy lifting' topics associated with growing older. Because life, love, and good sex doesn’t end at fifty! It just gets better!
M. "Bryckk" Wilkes-DuBois, is a "New York Peach". A Native New Yorker turned Savannahian by marriage to her soulmate.
Bryckk has always had stories and interesting characters in her head. Being an author has been her dream since she was a child.
As a child, Bryckk went through tons of notebook paper, creating her own books by hand to give to friends. This in turn, got her into plenty of trouble with her parents.
An avid romance reader all her life, Bryckk has always been a hopeless romantic. She roots for the hero but believes even the villain deserves an HEA.
When she's not writing romance, she is reading romance, riding shotgun with her hubby on road trips, and journaling.
I really enjoyed this book Thad and Nora are great , I loved reading how love can be found at the work place , there were times that had me sad , angry , happy and laughing and I cant wait to read Bryckk's next book!
Right on Time is the perfect story. I love reading stories about characters that are older. It’s just a reminder that not all love and romance is for 20 somethings. Nora and Thad’s story is so great. We’ve got the silver fox trope and the workplace romance trope with the perfect touch of past trauma. This book also has spice and is so wonderfully written and everyone should read the story. I am so looking forward to the rest of the Sensual Silvers Series.
Right on Time was such a refreshing, grown-woman romance that had me smiling, fanning myself, and even getting a little emotional. Nora is a character I connected with immediately — a woman who’s spent her life putting everyone else first, only to finally have space to figure out who she is again. Watching her rediscover her confidence and her right to be desired was honestly beautiful.
And Thad? Whew. A mature man who actually communicates, takes initiative, and knows exactly what he wants? I was kicking my feet like a teenager. He’s successful, charming, and confident — but the way he sees Nora is what sold me. Not as someone “past her prime,” but as the woman who was always meant for him.
The chemistry between them is undeniable, and yes… the spice delivers. This isn’t fade-to-black — it’s grown-up passion with emotional depth. Their attraction feels natural and earned, and the age factor only makes it richer.
I also loved the theme woven throughout: love doesn’t have an expiration date. Healing doesn’t mean closing the door. Life isn’t “over” after motherhood, after divorce, after fifty. Sometimes, the love you were meant for really does arrive right on time.
This novella is the perfect introduction to The Sensual Silvers series — warm, sexy, empowering, and just the right length to devour in one sitting. I absolutely cannot wait to see what comes next.

This is my first story by this new author and I will most definitely read her again. A great later in life story that shows us that NO you are not too old to find love again. NO you are not too old to want a great s3x life. NO your past does not have to dictate what you think you may or may not deserve. NO the differences in your life (whatever that may be, wealth, skin color, religion) do not have to dictate who you fall in love with. Thad and Nora's story showed me all of this while adding a huge massive spoonful of spice. The story is short in pages but long in love. Well done Bryckk Wilkes-Dubois and I look forward to reading more Sensual Silvers.
I want to congratulate you not only on this book but this being your second book. While reading this book for the second time i couldn’t help but notice I had a warm feeling in my heart. This story held love, lust, growth and longing all in one. I loved how both characters were older and knew what they wanted yet still went through the troubles of heart break , betrayal and longing for something they always wanted. Thad really is that MAN!! And he don’t play about his sweet Nora . 4.5 stars . I would give you the extra 5 but you cut my story off to fast 😏🤭 I’m so proud of you & this book . & I gotta say while the story didn’t have all the extra spicy shit in it you embodied the lust and wanting so well .
This was such a beautiful read. Short, sweet and soulful. Ok, so what both the main characters are old enough to be my parents? There was no cringey-ness, they’re both super healthy, an absolute power couple and I rooted for them from beginning to end! The story was paced really well, it’s a short book but it didn’t all happen at once and definitely keeps you waiting but without it feeling dragged along. I was hooked and finished it in two sittings! The spice was perfection, you could just feel the pure passion between Thad and Nora, it was a long time coming! (Pardon the pun 😭) Another amazing book from Bryckk, and yet another trope I didn’t realise I enjoyed 😂 Let’s also take a moment for the cover?! Stunning work 💜🧡🩷
This was a fantastic novella, absolutely loved it. The longing and lusting in this book is intense. The characters are older and I’m here for it. Know what they want and go for it. No shenanigans. Thad was a great mmc and him and Nora were charismatic together. Great story. 10/10 definitely recommend.
such a beautiful story!! loved seeing this storyline for romance. you don't see much later in life love stories out there. and bryckk did absolutely phenomenal as always!
"A feel-good second chance love story that has happiness revive the soul." -Author January Rayne
Right on Time by Author Bryckk Wilkes-DuBois is just what I needed to believe in love stories again. It is the break from dark romance that I needed and took my mind out of survival mode. There is no heaviness, no loud drama, just a beautiful love story and it really does leave you giggling and kicking your feet. If you want a lighter, quick read with an HEA, this is the book for you. It's a feel-good second chance love story that has happiness revive the soul. The characters are experienced in life since they are older. Thad and Nora are focused on themselves, their careers, their children, and the sparks between them ignite feelings they thought they would never have again. There's no third act breakup scene, no miscommunication trope, the perfect amount of spice with two characters who want love and who want to live their rest of their lives drama free.
Thad is so swoon worthy, a multi-millionaire, and cares deeply about everyone in his life. Nora is a gorgeous, kind, brilliant single mom. Together, they are the perfect match and find happiness when neither of them expected it.
Favorite scene: "Do you know how excited I am to see you every day? How I measure the minutes after you're gone until the next time I'll see you?" "Do you know how much I hate weekends?" Thad smirked. "Sure, it's respite for everyone else, but for me, it's equivalent of two days without the sun."
l’ve always loved a workplace romance and I thoroughly enjoyed this short novella.
Fifty year old Nora Clayton has always put other people first. She stayed in an unhappy marriage for the sake of her daughter. Now divorced Nora has vowed never to fall in love again. However, she has no idea that Thaddeus Sanborn, Sr the sexy CEO of the company she works for has set his sights on her.
Thad is handsome, rich, and very successful…one of the most eligible bachelors in Savannah. He wanted Nora in his life but has helded back as Nora was still healing after her messy divorce.
There is without doubt a mutual attraction between the two of them but because of the company’s non-fraternisation policy it could never be explored. Until an impromptu trip to Maui finds the two of them working closely together in order to close a multi-million-dollar deal.
I wanted something easy to read after finishing two heavier books and was looking forward to a short, romantic, contemporary read to calm my mind. This book not only did that, but also made me smile. l loved the connection and relationship between the two protagonists Nora and Thad. What l also loved was that this was a romance between characters that were 50 plus which was so refreshing.
Bryckk’s writing is sharp and it flows wonderfully. This is just Bryckk’s second published book and I already can see a bright future for this writer. I thoroughly recommend this book if you’re looking for a sexy, well written mature romance that will definitely warm your heart.
Right On Time: Sensual Silvers Series, Book One by Bryckk Wilkes-DuBois is the second book I have read by this awesome author. Her first book was released earlier this year, The Perfect Guy and was a truly incredible debut effort. Her second book is as different as night and day in approach and content; their one commonality (other than being set in Savannah😊) is that both books are stellar, grabbing both the attention and the heart of the reader! In Right On Time, Ms. Wilkes-DuBois gives her readers a thoughtfully crafted love story with two mature leads who make the choice to embrace love with vigor and courage. For several years, Nora Clayton and Thaddeus “Thad” Sanborn have respectfully worked together and maintained a more than cordial relationship outside of the job setting. Even their children attended some of the same schools and are friendly. Nora and Thad both survived toxic marriages and have gracefully concealed (or tried to) their yearning for each other, Nora, as Thad’s employee, is keenly aware of the company’s no fraternization clause, while Thad is uncertain of Nora’s feelings for him. When Nora must accompany Thad to sun-kissed Maui for an important possible merger, Thad is determined to unburden his heart before they return to business as usual. After all, what does he have to lose? I enjoyed everything about this story. As it is a novelette, it was a relatively brisk read, but the richness and complexity of the material belied the length. I particularly appreciated the mature and logical way Nora (especially) and Thad handled navigating their growing relationship under the scrutiny of workplace optics. I certainly look forward to the next work from Ms. Wilkes-DuBois. Favorite Lines:
Forsyth Park
But he loved Nora’s smile. It should have been bestowed upon him, not his happily married son
He made a mental note to stop by Nora’s desk and clean her reading glasses.
He wants me to do what?
Their pain, vulnerability, and eagerness to find love again. Something they found in each other.
This book has me so invested in the characters, I wished the female lead has not wasted any years of her life with her douche of an ex-husband. Same for the male lead. At the same time, their exes were stepping stones. I was a little suspicious of the son getting sick but it was a blessing. I love the heat between the two. I would have loved a little more. My only negative is why they have to be fit? Nothing wrong with a regular, smegular older body.
I was surprised by how much I liked this book. I thought it would be a bit cringe or awkward reading about an older couple, but I really enjoyed it. Nora and Thad had good chemistry, good banter, their relationship didn’t feel forced or rushed- even though things kind of went at a fast pace. A cute short story.
The book gave me hope that love still exist later in life. I loved that the heroine overcame a bad relationship to still be a good mother, worker and provider.
Listennnn, I may not be in Thaddeus’ lead and too young for his likes, but I still want that man.
I absolutely loved this novella, it was so sweet and healing.
Now listen, there was some things I definitely would’ve done differently from Nora, but I am clearly far more petty than THE Sweet Nora, because the way… actually never-mind that’s spoilers. If you read, you know. Let’s just say I woulda pulled a Folded by Kehlani.
I loved the banter between these characters, but their love and mindfulness of each other was definitely the highlight for me.
I don’t typically like 3rd POV but this was so easy to read and get through, that sometimes I forgot.
If you love spicy office romances, older main characters, and a man with possessive vibes this is definitely the read for you! And it’s a novella, so it’s a quick read!
