One ship, two oceans, and a "ghost" that refuses to mind its own business...Addi thought working a cruise to Alaska with her best friends would be smooth seas and starry nights. But when they answer a distress call and find an abandoned freighter with a frozen body aboard, the real trouble begins.
Soon, passengers are whispering about a ghost haunting the ship, and a cranky businessman vanishes. But Addi doesn’t believe in ghosts—she knows something, or someone, is behind the eerie sightings.
With bff's Cece and Sam at her side, Addi’s racing to uncover the truth before rumors sink the cruise—and someone else ends up missing.
Because not every haunting is from the other side… and some secrets are colder than the sea.
Addi is back for number 20 along with Cece and Sam ,her best friends . Alaska bound the cruise may be but this is shroud in mystery ,literally. A distressed call comes from a freighter but when they look inside there’s a frozen body aboard, so of course there’s rumours abound about a ghost haunting and next minute mr. cranky ups a disappears. This has more sinister than ghostly apparitions and it’s down to our intrepid sleuths to make decisions as ghosts ? Not a believer but knows a deceiver when she’s met with one.. . Perfectly penned as usual and a wonderfully executed storyline,in fact it’s a divine storytelling that is awesome and compelling A.R. Winter is the one for me ,when there’s a mystery

Florida to Alaska through the Panama Canal is the itinerary for the Cygnus of the Seas and the backdrop for Addi’s newest case. While Sam has her hands full with some cutthroat investment banker VIPs, it’s otherwise smooth sailing. That is until Ethan responds to a distress call and what they find is inexplicable. A notorious Russian “ghost ship” with a dead passenger sent the call with a hastily wired battery. Soon after there’s a man overboard alert, a missing tech developer, and ghostly sightings on the ship. Addi’s investigation turns up more questions than answers as the mysteries pile up. Will she find answers before they reach Juneau?
The 20th Cruise Ship mystery is another intriguing and puzzling cozy mystery from A.R. Winters. CeCe is exasperated by the ghost hunting mania of her fellow IT nerds. Ethan gets another chance to captain the ship. Turner is around to give security assistance with a side of fashion critiques. Aside from the core group, he’s definitely a favorite character and I always enjoy his appearances. Hans has even mellowed a bit, seeming more willing to let Addi investigate. Plenty of humor mixes in with the suspense. Addi’s final scene with the perpetrator is definitely epic. Anywhere Ms. Winters takes this crew, I’m along for the ride.

I know certain things that will happen when I start an A. R. Winters book - it will be an interesting, well told story, probably with humor added. I know I'll love the book, I'll be smiling at the end, and I'll be sad when I finish it because I always want more!!
This book is no exception. Addi and friends are on the Cygnus of the Sea once more, going from Florida, through the Panama Canal, and up to Alaska on a repositioning cruise. When they get a distress call, Ethan sends the ship to help. Meanwhile, Sam is dealing with another frustrating group of VIPs. Someone goes missing, and the IT nerds suspect ghosts!!
It's another super fun unique tale, with a number of mysteries that may or may not be connected. And of course, Addi is doing her best to solve things!! Great characters, a wonderful story-line, an ending I definitely didn't expect, a book I didn't want to put down...what more can I ask for? Oh, I know, another book in the series, please!
A long cruise from Florida to Alaska with travelers from seniors to a corporate business deal.Going thru the Panama Canal proceeds with no issues.Smooth sailing up to Alaska, when at the wee hours the ship makes a sharp turn off track. There was a maritime emergency, a ship in trouble and the Calypso was the nearest ship. Things seem wonky when the only person on the ghost frigate is a frozen seaman gripping the ropes on deck. A Russian ship that has been wandering between Russia and USA for decades, the mystery seems impossible. They get back on track when that corporate business meeting leaves the sold company owners distraught. An alarm of a man over board, the ship stops to search for the jumper. Looks like the jumper was one of the business men. Or was it? Was there really a man over board? Addi and Sam, along with the techies, security and Ethan have their hands full with so many clues, not to mention dead ends. Is there really a ghost,? Who is the stranger posing as the dead man from the frigate? Page turner, with humor only Ms. Winters can create.
Booze, Besties & a Body on Ice—Just Another Day at Sea!
Okay, listen. I thought I was boarding The Creepy Cruise for a cozy little mystery with some ghostly fluff and cruise ship shenanigans. What I got was a frozen corpse, a ghost that won't mind its own business, and Addi diving headfirst into yet another murder mystery that had me side-eyeing everyone on that ship—including the staff bartender.
This is book 20 in the Cruise Ship Cozy Mysteries by A.R. Winters, and yes, I’m still fully invested like it’s the season finale of my favorite binge-worthy show. I swear these books are like Lay’s chips—you can’t stop at just one, and this one was extra salty in the best way.
Addi’s out here thinking it’s going to be smooth sailing with her ride-or-die besties Cece and Sam (we love a loyal trio), but of course the universe says, “Here, have a frozen body and a haunted freighter.” Naturally. And then people start whispering about ghosts, but Addi's not buying the supernatural hype—she’s got her sleuth hat on and a murder board in her brain. Respect.
The Alaskan backdrop adds that icy tension that makes everything feel just a little more urgent—and a little more deadly. There’s something so deliciously eerie about ghost sightings on a ship with nowhere to go but cold, open ocean. And don’t even get me started on the cranky businessman who vanishes just when things start to heat up.
This one had all the charm I’ve come to love from the series: quick wit, a sprinkle of sass, solid friendship vibes, and just enough danger to make me clutch my blanket a little tighter. If you’ve been riding this cruise with Addi from the beginning, you’ll be thrilled. If you’re new? Honestly, you’ll probably still love it—but beware: you will want to start at book one after this.
So if you like your mysteries with a side of cocktails, killer views, and just enough creepy to keep you guessing at 2AM—The Creepy Cruise absolutely delivers. Now excuse me while I double-check my closet for ghost stowaways and refill my tea.
This is another excellent book by this author. It captivated me from the very first page, and I read it in one sitting. The mystery plot and the characters are fantastic, just like in the previous books. It has a humorous tone and made me laugh out loud several times. To me, it's a true page-turner, featuring great world-building and worth every minute spent reading it. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series.

Addi and the gang are on a long cruise. There are passengers who are not their best selves and when one is missing, possibly overboard, mysterious occurrences happen on the ship. A number of plot twists lead to a satisfying conclusion. The locks at the Panama Canal were very interesting. I wish this book had an accompanying video to show the magnificent site but the author describes it very well.
A passenger is missing from the cruise ship and the social media director is supposed to be in charge of finding out what happened to him. Will she find out what happened to him?

What can I say! I love anything by AR Winters. If you have never read her then do yourself a favor and read all her boos. The cruise series is a definite winner and I love all the characters and how they have fun but murder seems to follow them around.
The 20th Cruise Ship mystery is another intriguing and puzzling cozy mystery from A.R. Winters. I was hooked from the beginning. Another super fun tale!.
