He was just a dream, right?

When I was young, I often dreamt of an alpha boy. With him I belonged. I was important. Loved. We were going to marry and be together. Once I actually figured out how to get to him.

But that was years ago and the foolish fantasies of a lonely teenager. Parallel worlds were only a theory. Alpha males were assholes who want to get their way. Soulmates were just stories for children.

Then everything changed.

One morning I woke up on a park bench unable to remember my name or how I got there.

There was something not quite right about this place–and clearly I don’t belong here.

Then I saw him. The man of my dreams. My soulmate.

But we’re not teenagers anymore. Wes moved on, and has a successful career, a husband, and a pack. Whatever that was.

Still, the connection between us is undeniable and I fall hard for him and his pack. Especially his hunky omega husband and the delicious head of a biotech company.

As much as I’d like to stay here, the gaps in my memory threaten our happiness. How did I get to a parallel world and will someone come after me for it?

If they do, how much will it break me to have to leave Wes again?

A love that spans the universe. A second chance at romance. A secret she can't remember that could tear them apart. Again.

Dream Girl is a non-shifting why choose omegaverse fated mates portal romance with a mathematician FMC from our world, the alpha of her literal dreams, a giant teddy-bear of a male omega, growly alpha packmates, a beta police officer, and a childhood love that spans the universe. This is book one of the Into the Parallel Omegaverse trilogy, which is ultimately m/m/m/m/f/m. Books One and Two end on cliffhangers with an HEA for Grace and her guys in Book Three.

Welcome to the Parallel Omegaverse. Because dreams aren’t real—until they are.

This is Grace's story (Verity's rich big sister). It takes place before the HockeyVerse series and you do not have to read them to enjoy this trilogy. This is non-shifting omegaverse.

This by far one of the most unique omegaverse books I've ever read. imagine waking up battered bruised and scared in a strange place only to realize and find out the boy now man that you were told was fake and imaginary is very real in a whole another dimension basically. that is the story of Grace's life in this book. there are so many twisted turns up and downs plot twist left and right I'm so here for it. this is my first book from this author and I am obsessed I have so many theories as to how the ending happened and I cannot wait for books two and three to see if I was right I need those books like yesterday and I just finished the book this morning. I love all the guys even though one of them was an asshole for a good portion of the book but eventually he came around sort of but I need the next book immediately basically that's all I'm saying.

DNF at 57%.
There is no way this story can plot out for THREE freaking books. 😫 It was already becoming repetitive halfway thru and the author lacks the ability to *clearly* write a shit ton of information. It was a mess.

4 stars for the plot. The plot idea WAS SO FRESH!!! I loved the idea of this dream of the fmc’s coming true. Or was true. Or she knew it was true and then got the shit beat out of her to NOT believe it? 🥴🤷🏻‍♀️

-2 stars off for the story becoming a SLOGFEST nearly right from the start. Hence my overall 2 star review. Which is kind.

It was hard to read at times, the story just jumping from one thought to another. Sometimes ideas felt clear and at other times it was messy and made no sense. What point was the author making? There were many times I had no idea.

There were far too many details that frankly I didn’t need as a reader. This tells me the author is watching word count and trying to squeeze as much juice as she could from this lemon.

There is a ton of tell. It got old.

I honestly kept putting the book down today TO CLEAN bc it was boring me so badly. 😒

I am also not a fan of heavy MM themes but that did NOT play into my rating.
I just get annoyed if it isn’t written well and believable as well as if it takes attention from the fmc. I felt ZERO heat amongst the male omega and all his men. He and Wes had heat ish but Brennan and what’s his face felt forced. Honestly there was no heat with anyone. It wasn’t written where I could feel it building up or even there.

All the characters fall flat for me.

And then the relationships were so convoluted. It was hard to keep up. Who’s with whom and such was oddly discussed and if I had cared I would have needed a notepad to keep up w this bullshit.

Honestly, to each their own here but I cannot imagine reading 3 books of this shit.

Sis was trying to toss the entire kitchen sink of tropes and themes too into this book. Calm down girl. Please. We don’t need the entire trope list for the omegaverse world here. 🙄

It felt at times like a patchwork Frankenstein story. At one point early on I could literally pick out the other book connections from what I have read. Pack Darling. And a few other big ones too. I saw it characters. Words. Actions.
That is always a red flag to me if I can immediately pick up on this reading like another popular book despite the fresh plot. 🚩

I wanted so badly to enjoy this book again bc the plot is fresh. But thanks to overwriting (she could have removed half of the tropes/details/words), heavy handed TELLING, kitchen sink tropes, some political lecturing snuck in and shotty editing I am am putting this author and this series on my nope list.

This is one of my first reviews, the book is that bad. I read 15%, and hated every page of it.
I don’t know which book these other people read, but I hope it wasn’t the same book i read???
The characters kept teleporting, it’s apparently okay for her to hit one of the mmc’s, and when he then says he’s uncomfortable with her there, he’s ignored. She keeps bursting into tears, and making love declarations and being horny for strangers right after she might have been abused and have lost her memory??
Sorry, but this has no business being 600+ pages, and need HEAVY editing. This has a cool premise, but that’s it.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 Spice level.

Imagine not knowing who you are, and rediscovering something you thought was never real? If that catches your attention… this book is definitely for you!!!!!

This book, is like a prequel before Finding the Forward. It’s about Verity’s sister Grace. This book, from the moment I started seeing sneak peeks and pictures of how Jane described the characters I was HOOKED. But now after reading this? I’m so far gone for Grace and the pack. My heart hurts from all the ups and downs but the hanger?! Man… I need book 2 NOW!

Jane does amazing story telling, this Omegaverse is so different than what I’ve read before and I like it. The twists? The turns and even the characters have me so hooked and craving more. This is one of the best Omegaverse’s I’ve read and I really enjoy Jane Handler and the worlds she creates and immerses us into. I absolutely loved this book and will be eagerly awaiting book 2 when it releases in September.

When I picked this up, I thought it would be one of those quick, standalone omegaverse books that are great palate cleansers, but I've never been so happy to be wrong. All of the characters really grew on me, even Brennan. I had wished it would get more into the sci-fi elements, but with that ending, I think that's where we're headed. At the very least, I'd like to know wtf is going on and all the W questions answered. I don't have much to say at the moment because my head hurts, but this was more fun than I expected, and I really enjoyed it.

Mainly, I want to see Caroline get punched in the tit by Ri(who is definitely my favorite). I'm a big fan of a teenage girl with a spicy personality. Will be picking up the next book asap.

Dream Girl by Jane Handler - Book Review

Genre - Omegaverse Romance
Heat Level - 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (3/5)
Rating Level - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

Vibes -

I was completely swept up into the omegaverse like grace and felt a strong connection to this soft but also strong FMC. As grace fell in love with each of her mates and we got met the pack of wonderful alphas, omega and theta you couldn’t help but love each character. When grace dived into to this complicated parallel universe I felt so connected to her emotions and want for connection and stability. This’s is the first book in a trilogy about graces story and I can’t wait to dive into the next two books. Like most love stories graces has beautiful ups and downs that I can’t wait to continue.

Tropes -

Why Choose
Omegaverse
Fated Mates
Second Chance
Love at First Sniff
Giant Omega Male

I was given the opportunity to read an ARC of this book and now I’m hooked. The characters are so intriguing and the story is great. I’ll say I normally don’t like syfy and the little addition in this made it so good like edge of your seat. My only complaint is I have to wait for the next one but at least it’s coming out soon!

3.25 ⭐️/3 🌶️—Cool premise. Rough execution with the characterization and choppy pacing. The characters fell sort of flat for me. I didn’t really like anyone but one of the MMC’s kid sister. I’m not a fan of plots where there is a clear mystery and no one seems that interested in discovering the truth. I’ll probably continue on because I was interested in finding out the answers at the heart of the story and it ended on a huge cliffhanger.

This was an absolutely amazing book. The story was something unique and that I’ve never come across in any other omegaverse that I’ve read and I found myself totally addicted in finding out what happened next. I loved the characters and having briefly met some of them in Jane Handlers Hockeyverse series I was excited to read their origin story and how their pack came to be. I still can’t wait to find out how everything fits together and works out and after the ending of this book I’m already super excited for the next book to release. I need to know what happens next! I would very highly recommend giving this book a read.

This first part was truly amazing, I was captivated from the start. The storyline was beautifully written and flowed beautifully.
I have read all of Jane's other books where you see bits of Grace. So finally, getting to know her story has been an experience, I never once thought about a parallel universe before, I'm excited to see where this all leads.
Great, well described, loveable characters. It was lovely to see Grace grow throughout the book.
There is romance, plenty of spice, banter, a little trauma with no details, and plenty of mystery.

Wow! Just wow!! It takes place before the Finding the Forward series, so it gives a background story for Grace, Verity’s sister. For this to be the first book in the omegaverse world for her, that’s incredible!!! I seriously could not put this book down once I started reading it. I was shocked at how long it was, but seriously, once I started reading it, I didn’t even notice the length because I was so entranced in the book before suddenly stopping due to the cliffhanger. Darn cliffhangers! But seriously, this book was so good!!

Wow! I absolutely love spending time in Jane Handler's omegaverse universe. It's like an immersive experience - even the minutia of the world has been thought out and incorporated into her stories.

I wanted to read this from the moment I saw "they dream about each other" listed a trope, but that's kind of background information to the story. I loved that this starts immediately with Grace being thrust into an unknown world with no clue how she got there. It's fate that she ends up exactly where she needs to be in order to get to her dream Alpha. As usual, there's a lot of interconnected characters and storylines happening upon storylines, but throughout the main focus is Grace. She's learning about her new world, figuring out how designations work, and working to accept love in multiple ways.

I love that this pack - Wes(A), Evan(O), Jett(B), Brenna (A), Spencer(A), and Riley(T) - is not all romantically involved. Some are mates, some are siblings, some are best friends - it's truly a family. Everyone has a different reaction to Grace's appearance. (I really wanted to junk punch Brennan - a couple of times.) There's spice, coziness, and caring, and a big emphasis on consent, boundaries, and trust. One phrase I didn't know I'd think would be hot: "my good doctor". You'll have to read to get the context. I was hoping the cliffhanger wouldn't be what it is because of the implications for this pack, but it's got me even more invested in reading on to see what the reactions and solution will be.

I really did love all the characters and the time I spent with them. There is a science part (it's smallish, but is there) to the story that was explained well, but others may not appreciate. If you like hurt/comfort in your OV or if you want to read about an established Pack adding a new member, this is for you. You absolutely do not have to have read JH's previous OV books. Everything is explained in the text and author's notes.

I personally just couldn't connect to any of the characthers and felt it was disjointed. I couldn't properly follow the plot, sometimes I couldn't tell who was speaking or felt like a comment came out of nowhere and I had to re read a passage a few times to get it.

This just wasn't for me.

I received Dream Girl in return for an honest review from the author.

I loved Grace right from the start she's the perfect character to be tossed into a parallel world that just happens to be the same place her dream guy Wes lives. He's already living in a pack and even has his own omega but instead of Grace creating issues with the pack Evan welcomes her with open arms. Evan is my favorite he's wonderful and I just loved his character. I also loved Jett and Spencer but Brennan still has some growing to do.

Omegavers stories are some of my favorite and this one was one of the best. The characters are easy to connect with you can't help cheering them on through the story even Brennan. The story is captivating right from the start it was easy to get lost in Grace's story and I couldn't put it down. The author has done a beautiful job creating a story that captures the heart as well as the imagination.

This isn't my first book by the author so I had some high expectations as I've loved all of the prior books that I've read. This one though has exceeded my expectations and set the bar to a whole new level. I ended up devouring over the weekend and loving every moment of it and I think if I could I would have tossed my kindle at the wall as this one ends in a huge cliffhanger. Totally worth the book hangover I'm now having. I'm just a tad bit obsessed and can't wait to get the next one in my grasp.

I have always been a fan of the omegaverse but was on the fence for why choose stories. I can confidently say this book has changed my view completely! I was concerned with the length of the book but as I started reading it was impossible to stop. The story is perfectly paced, in my opinion and you get POVs from all the leads. Grace is an absolute joy and incredibly strong person because if I were in her shoes I would be a complete and total mess. I love the boys, they made the story interesting and were kings of consent! The author did a great job fleshing out the characters while moving the story in the direction they did. The story opened up more of the omegaverse than I had originally delved in to and created unique personalities that matched each designation. I am sooooo sad that I have to wait to read the next book but also cannot wait until it comes out so I can learn more about Grace and what her life was like prior to her interdimensional travel.

Counting down the days until the next book!

What I Liked:
❤️Found Family
❤️Chair Throwing
❤️Spencer (I wish there was more of him😍)

I'm so happy I received this ARC! I cannot wait to read more of the packs story!!!

Rating: Loved it/Slightly obsessed

I’ve never read an Omegaverse like this before. This has a parallel universe, fated in dreams, unknown designation, why-choose, mystery, amnesia…this book has everything!

If you’ve read Finding the Forward, you know Grace is Jane’s sister. This is basically a prequel, but with her and her pack, and...wow is it shaping up to be a wild ride! And in true Jane fashion, we get that freaking cliffy! I need book 2 now! Something is definitely rotten in the state of Denmark, and I cannot wait to unravel it.

The pack dynamics are so good. Watching nearly all of them fall for Grace was incredibly sweet. Her and Spencer? Can’t wait to see more. Her and Evan? Absolutely adorable. Wes is practically perfect in every way. Riley is an absolute hoot (lowkey she's my favorite). I love her and sincerely hope she’s the one who gives Caroline what’s coming. Even Brennan started growing on me by the end (though he’s got a long way to go before he’s fully redeemed in my eyes).

Thank you, Jane, for the ARC—I’m already counting down the days until next month’s release!

When I say I haven’t read such a riveting Omegaverse book in years, I MEAN IT!

From beginning to end, this book had me hooked. Protective Alphas, funny banter, resilient FMC, strong family dynamics. I loved it all. The story unfolded perfectly, keeping you guessing & wanting more. & that ending… that cliff hanger was something else! I need book two, like, yesterday! The spicy scenes were sooo good! They really know how to treat a lady 😉😍

All in all, I gives this book 5 ⭐️ & rate the spice 4🌶️

Dream Girl was different from any of the other Omegaverse books I've read. The FMC is from a different world but ends up in the parallel universe where her dream mate is. She ends up there, lost, scared, and alone. She meets a male omega who falls for her instantly and brings her home. That's where all the fun starts. Although most of the pack falls for her first, there's still one alpha who still has his reservations about her.

Jane did an amazing job writing this book and making you fall in love with all the characters. From our FMC to the alphas, the male omega and his teenage sister. You'll fall in love with each character.

This book did end on a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

this was a totally new take on omegaverse - travel between worlds/dimensions and pack dynamics that I haven't seen before. the relationships between characters were interesting and I'm looking forward to further developments.

I found the book to be very well written and I enjoyed the writing style. I would like to learn more about Jett going forward. Riley is one of my favourite characters but I also have a soft spot for Spencer.

I knew there would be some kind of cliffhanger but I was not prepared!! looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

I was not prepared for how hard this book hit! This was a moderately paced start to this new trilogy featuring Grace, Wes, Evan, Jett and Brennan. The approach to this is much different from most Omegaverse but done in a way that still feels traditional. I got so swept up in the story that there were times I forgot I was reading. There were also times where I thought I need to put this down because I don't want to leave the world and story. I'm truly invested in what happens next, and how far Grace is willing to go for her pack and how far her pack is willing to go for her.

Once I started reading this book I couldn’t put it down. The characters had me invested from beginning to end.. this does end in a cliffhanger and I gasped at it.. so be warned..
I loved it. We had intrigue, lust, spice, love and the dynamics with the designations in this book was fascinating to read. I love Jane’s books. She sucks you into her world and takes you on this journey. I need to know what happens next.

intriguing blurb, lacking execution

DNF at 15%. I did not vibe with the writing style at all, it felt mostly awkward and how the author executed the whole dimension travel was…lame, for lack of a better word. I lost interest in the characters almost immediately and felt no urge at all to keep reading, so… try at your own risk
