CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD!

Insta-Hate, Hijinks & Happy Endings was such a fun and hilarious read. I was laughing from the very beginning until the end. I loved that side characters played a huge part in this book, and I was happy they were there. Sophia was a side character Ish during book one, but I loved her character. I was excited to see her grow into herself during this book.

If I had to describe this book, I would say it is a story of a woman that comes into her own and a man that is feral for her. This is also a book with no 3rd act breakup which I really did appreciate.

Also, Hurricane Roman could not be more properly named! Unfortunately, there are men like this in the world and Rebel Warren wrote him perfectly.

I know I said it was funny, but it was also sexy af too! Gio being a food porn chef, he was always ready for the one-liners. You do have to wait for the spice to fully hit but when it does, you won’t be disappointed. They made me blush a few times, some of my favorite quotes are below.

“Now be a good girl and give me what I want”

“Don’t act like you could handle playing rough with me, kitten”

“If it’s too hot, blow harder.”

Things you will find in this book:

🎀 Spicy Rom-Com
🩷 Enemies-to-Lovers
🎀 Mutual Retaliation
🩷 Simmering Tension
🎀 Pining & Banter
🩷 Forced Proximity
🎀 Spicy Explosion

“She’s a beautiful disaster, and for some reason, I can’t look away.”

Insta-Hate, Hijinks & Happy Endings | Rebel Warren

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5, 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

“Has my hot, mortal enemy shifted into fun-enemy mode?”

Read this if you love: enemies to lovers | forced proximity | retaliation wars | hate kisses | tension & pining | banter | protective MMC | spicy explosion | slow burn

“It turns out I have zero self-preservation when it comes to Sophia. She’s my pretty pink poison. I will get on my knees, tip my head back, and take whatever love potion she pours down my throat, and then I will thank her and ask for more. I’m that smitten with my little pink hell kitten.”

I am loving Rebel Warren’s books and this was the perfect read after my last book that was really emotional. I love how Rebel’s books read like a rom-com movie and you can vividly picture the scenes in your head complete with the vibrant colors and hilarious antics. Sophia’s feisty attitude was top-notch, and while sometimes you just wanted to roll your eyes at her, in the end you just wanted her to get her happy ending. And Gio pushing her to the brink, but then realizing he likes her, and he doesn’t want Sophia to lose her edge is what rom-com heartthrobs are made of. Then add in some new side characters who just add to the drama and you have a perfect summer read.

Thank you @rebelwarren_author for the eARC. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

FMC Sophia left her cheating fiancée at the alter and has decided to go to Hawaii on her (Un)Honeymoon, with her best friend Amelia tagging along. But things aren’t all beachy. Sophia arrives in Hawaii at the same time as a hurricane and the rental car agency doesn’t have a car for her, so she ends up in a farm truck taxi, complete with farm animals. MMC Gio is a fiery hot stranger around every corner and taking every reservation right out from under her! Gio is a famous internet baking/cooking influencer back in his hometown to film, in the bungalow Sophie stole from him. A prank war begins and the side characters provide MAJOR comic relief. Sophie and Gio’s relationship is a slow burn, and the payoff is worth waiting for.

Tropes:
enemies to lovers
prank wars
forced proximity
slow burn
Dual POV

Obsessed. That’s all. What a cute book!!! Rebel’s books are silllllly and endearing and have the perfect touches of spice. I loveeeeeed Gio & Sophia! Even as a side character, I loved Sophia in book one (You don’t really need to read book one to read this one BUT you should!) so getting to read her as an FMC was exciting! By the end of the book the growth both characters showed and on Sophia’s end, truly coming into her own - chef’s kiss!! Also, no third act breakup minus like a page of confusion LOL which I love especially when it’s an enemies to lovers book! Please Rebel, never stop creating these cute, unhinged, fluffy masterpieces!

I feel like this was written for me, love the relationship dynamic not just between the main characters but the friendship group as well.
And yes I did have a certain insta-chef in mind when I was reading this book, I’m sure you’ve seen a few hotties out there.

Fun and flirty throughout with some gorgeous scenes and some feisty hot scenes, never have I wanted to be a pineapple more 🍍

Rebel Warren hitting that spot once again, and again and again 😉
Perfect summer read to enjoy with a cocktail or two.

Everyone deserves a man like Gio. This man fell so hard for Sophia and quickly. He took everything she threw at him and did it with a smile. He would crawl to her if she told him to. I love that he knew her worth when no other man did. He saw how mistreated she had been and wanted to give her the world.
He wanted to protect her from the cruel world and wanted to protect her heart. Their chemistry, the banter and the tension 🥵 This was such a slow burn it was killing me.
