Great story
The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the repetition of the words “systematic” and “systemic”
I loved the characters and the way the story played out. Well worth the read.

Great story!
This one kept me hopping from the beginning. The story dragged me deep into Lawson's guilt and her determination to get justice for Monica's murder. Never did she ever expect what she found! Great characters. Great twists. Excellent book!

Best one yet
All 3 Savannah books were excellent but this one I really couldn't put down. Twists and turns every chapter. A great crime read. Recommending to all my friends and family!!!

That's right, 3 stars. I only read 75% because that's all I could take. It's nicely written—Kind of, to a point. There is just too much AI-style repetition. How she wakes up in a cold sweat with her legs entangled in the sheets of her bed. It happened twice in a short amount of time...and each time, the same language was used—cut and paste—he could have used a plethora of different ways to describe the same event—but failed to do so. Later, as the story unfolded, each character...the lawyer stepped forward to present her knowledge of how to make sense of something...not just once, but EVERY time she was referenced, and almost verbatim the same way she did before. The policeman, rising to his knowledge and experience, to survey a potential crime scene for danger FOUR times in one chapter?
I mean no disrespect to those who gave the book glowing reviews; I appreciate more professional writing.
