I would like to give it a 3.5 because I do love the art style and how they all came together to defeat the villains but the individual alter ego stories were a bit all over. I think maybe another comic that features all of them should be longer and more in depth so we get full realized stories for all of them. Maybe even individual comics for each alter ego could give us more background on them! Overall very beautiful just needs some fine tuning :)

There's a hardcover version of this now. When I saw it at the store, I thought it was a kpop album in the wrong spot by the books but it really is a comic. I grabbed it cuz the painted style on the cover vaguely reminded me of Arcane but I was bamboozled. The inner art isn't even close to matching. It felt like the artist had someone threateningly standing over them as they were drawing, demanding they needed the story pages yesterday. The cover and the bonus end illustrations are very different quality than the inner pages. The plot is kind of lacking. The initial story is about fighting three bullies and then its followed by short snippets from each character's perspective. The dialogue is also rough and full of one liners that don't quite flow together. Vixi met each of the others because they fix machines and there's always a broken one nearby. They mention friendship at every turn and while that is a central theme of these kinds of stories, you don't need to literally say it so frequently. The intro monologue about how Vixi could fix broken things but people were harder was interesting. I wish they had more obstacles relating to that because everything was resolved very easily actually lol. If this was just vibes in a music video, it'd be fine. I think it does pair to an album of the same name so I'll check that out later. I like Black Pink though so I guess its nice that Lisa is branching out to try to new things. This could do with some polishing though.

It’d be more of a 2.8 but it’s cute. Obviously read this bc I’m a huge BLINK and love Ms. Lalisa! The artwork was amazing and the concept was very fun, but the story as a whole was pretty convoluted and confusing. There was a very loose plot without much explanation of anything, and when the climax happens, the reader is left unsure of how and why things escalated this way. It’s about friendship and teamwork, but we’re not really given much of a real explanation for how they ended up saving the city together, or what each of them brings to the table “hero”-wise. Also, this highkey felt really rushed because there were definitely more than a few typos and grammatically incorrect sentences that were glaringly obvious yet easily fixable, so @TeamLLOUD, yall didn’t wanna hire an editor?? Overall, it was cute as a tie-in to the Alter Ego concept, but as a standalone project is a little cheesy and juvenile to leave any meaningful impression. If a sequel comes, will I read it? As a fan of Lisa and the Pinks, yes! But as a fan of Vixi, Roxi, Speedi, Sunni, and Kiki, it’ll take a whole lot more convincing.

I really liked the idea of this, but it was definitely rushed and comes across as incomplete. I feel that if more time had been taken to flesh out both the main story as well as the individual character stories, I would have really loved this.

I know there are many people who don't love Lisa's "Alterego" concept as a whole, but I found the various personas interesting and when I found out there would be a comic I hoped that it would be more than just pretty merch.

I love Blackpink and Lisa, but this comic was, sadly, a disappointment. The comic is confusing as it jumps from past to present and doesn't explain anything or give any background on the world or the characters. I think the idea behind it is great, and if the comic were longer, it would be good. The art was stunning, though, the artist is really talented.

There's definitely promise in this concept and the art is a lot of fun, but so much 'happens' that it ends up too thinly spread and rings a bit hollow.

I'd be on board if there were a follow up that fleshed the world and ideas out more to make this proof-of-concept into more of a story.
