I want to start this off by saying that I know this may be one of if not the first book from this author. Regardless of what I say, I hope this review helps the series and author improve. I thought the art in this was pretty good and enjoyed the general plot with some exceptions. I don’t know if it’s a translation problem or what but the writing in this is so cringey and like a 14 year old wrote it. That aside I wanted to list the positives and areas of improvement.
Positives: - The Avengers are pretty cool in this and I like their concept. They are each uniquely designed, have their own personalities, and way of fighting. - Art - Artifacts - Environments
Areas of Improvement: - The writing - Scavengers, their designs are pretty bland and underwhelming. The designs remind me of PUBG
I may come back to this series for the monster designs!
Orphan girls are brought to a military institute as babies and trained as scavengers that are sent to parallel worlds to bring back items from them when they’re teenagers. They need to earn a million dollars until they’re free. The worlds are dangerous and full of ghosts that try to kill the scavengers.
This was difficult to get a hang of. Several characters were introduced fast and sent to perilous situations. Fights with ghosts ensued. I didn’t find it very interesting, but some kinds of deeper stories seem to be waiting in the future. Art was good.
I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
