Charismatic whiskey aficionado, Cooper Dane, spends his days mixing, tasting and procuring in the business he founded, Golden Spades Distillery. When he's not in the boxing ring, he's perfecting his craft, pouring his heart into the only place that truly feels like home.
His only barrier to peace – his meddling parents who are relentless in playing matchmaker to ensure he perpetuates the family legacy – on their terms. Desperate and running out of time, he finds the answer in the one woman who is both totally off limits and has haunted his dreams for as long as he can remember – his best-friend’s younger sister.
As his connection and attraction to Eva deepens, Cooper faces a dilemma – continue the charade to please his family, or follow his heart and reveal the truth, risking both the loss of his best-friend and the business he has worked so hard to build.
Will The King of Spades find the courage to pursue what he has always desired despite the risks to everything he has ever known?
Vyk is a lover of cheese, sparkling water and reading - not necessarily in that order. She loves to laugh, surrounded by good food and great company. Mostly, she can be found in the thick of the chaos which comes with raising two children, working and trying to survive the wild ride of life. All of which wouldn't be possible without the coffee and cooking of her amazing husband.
The rest of the time she can be found reading, writing or adding to her never-ending 'to be read' list.
From the very first page — scratch that, from the prologue — I knew I was in love. Eva instantly won me over with her wit, sass, and unapologetic charm. She’s the kind of FMC that’s easy to root for — funny, real, and completely captivating. And don’t even get me started on my Sebby baby. I was thrilled to have him back, but… let’s be honest, Cooper Dane completely stole the show (and my heart). The chemistry between Eva and Coop? Off. The. Charts. The tension on that first bike ride had me sweating and grinning like a fool — and from that point on, it was game over. Coop’s bad boy energy, that teasing confidence, and his filthy mouth had me absolutely feral. And that kiss? Holy hell. I’m convinced even Jesus couldn’t have saved me after what followed. This story is a masterclass in slow burn done right. Every stolen glance, every touch, every bit of banter just built up the ache until I was practically begging for them to give in. And when they finally did… let’s just say I needed a cold shower and maybe a defibrillator. The Nexus scene? The face-riding? The rain scene? 🔥🔥🔥 Vyk Peters, you are pure evil in the best way possible. But what truly makes King of Spades shine isn’t just the heat — it’s the heart. The found family dynamic in this series fills me right up. The friendship group, the banter, the loyalty — it all feels so genuine. Xavi and Evy’s friendship had me smiling nonstop; it’s warm, hilarious, and written with so much love. The birthday cake moment wrecked me — the kind of quiet emotional detail that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading. Cooper’s emotional depth absolutely floored me. Beneath that cocky, dirty-talking exterior is a man with so much vulnerability and devotion. Lines like “While you wear this ring, you’re mine, Evangeline” and “I ache for you. Need you. Love you.” had me clutching my chest. And when it was revealed that the barrel numbers were her name? Literal tears. He’s the perfect mix of honey over iron — sweet, strong, and a little rough around the edges. The plot twist? I did not see it coming. The tension, the action, the emotional payoff — everything clicked. And I really appreciated how Samantha’s character wasn’t written as the stereotypical villain; that choice made the story feel more mature and grounded. And that epilogue? Perfection. I was so relieved he asked her to marry him for real — it gave the story that extra layer of satisfaction and closure. By the end, I wasn’t just swooning; I was emotionally spent in the best way. King of Spades is everything I want in a romance — fiery chemistry, found family, heart-wrenching moments, and a love story that burns hot and deep. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (yes, SIX STARS) — Cooper Dane, you’ve dethroned Sebby baby as my #1.

Forced proximity, second chance, brother’s best friend AND fake dating/marriage?!? This book hit EVERY one of my favourite tropes and it did so flawlessly!
The heat, the anger, the passion, the guilt - this was a slow burn that built like a beautiful orchestra with Vyk as the conductor. And that climax! (And the subsequent climaxes 🥵)
I loved our FMC Eva and her penchant for numbers. She’s logical and to the point, when it doesn’t she gets frustrated and her explosions are phenomenal. She’s not afraid to put people in their place with her words and tone. I would also kill to try that chocolate cake!
Our MMC Cooper is your classic playboy, but only as a mask to hide some deeply troubling issues. He’s not a fantastic communicator but he notices so much and Eva sees right through him.
These two are such a gorgeous couple, both fiery in their own ways and their chemistry is off the charts!
ARC review: King Of Spades by @vykpeters Release date: 20 November 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is book 4 in the Kings series and holy shit, it is the best one yet imo! I ate this up! Fake Dating ✅ Brother’s Best Friend ✅ Forced Proximity ✅ Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ We have met both Cooper and Evangeline in the previous books but finally getting them together for their own story was perfection! The tension, yearning and longing was so on point. Got to love a broody MMC that is soft just for her 💚 Please support a great Aussie Indie author and check out the Kings series by Vyk (starts off with an AFL romance!).
I knew I was going to love Cooper and Eva’s story and it did not disappoint!
I absolutely LOVED Cooper in the previous books! My sweet, broken man with a heart of pure gold.. I’m so happy he got his very own love story, he deserves the world!
Eva was the perfect balance of softness and strength. Gentle and kind, but she had that quiet fire that comes out when she’s protecting the people she loves.
The romance between Cooper and Eva was natural and incredibly wholesome. AND the chemistry.. The tension.. The way they were always there for each other? UGH MY HEART.
First, thank you to Vyk Peters for giving me access to this Ebook! All opinions in this review are my own.
It was okay! I love LOVE all her books but this one fell flat for me :( which makes me quite sad. Its about Evy and Cooper who are life long friends. It has brother best friend and dark and broody mmc.
5 ⭐️ Cooper and Eva are my ABSOLUTE FAVS! Vyk killed it with this one, with brothers best friend, the distillery and motorbike only adding to the perfection😍
I have no clue how she will top this with Jay and Flick but I just know it will be done🔥🔥
I finished this story this morning and all I can say is if you haven’t read the King Series by Vyk Peters, you are missing out on epic banter, hot AF shmex scenes and some literary genius I could only of coming up with. The story follows a number obsessed accountant and her brother best friend, a whiskey distillery owner. Her need for a job, his need for some solid book keeping AND a fake fiancée. It’s medium burn, with spice spicing about 60% through, but plenty of warming up along the way.
I adore the genuineness of these characters, as well as the representation of ‘real’ people. You see sensory needs being mentioned, hyper fixations, and all sorts of other things we feel in real life. Especially those who have experience with neurodivergence.
Vyk, you have instantly been added to my auto-buy author list. I’m so happy I found you!!
Eva and Cooper have been walking a tightrope for the last 15 years. After Eva was left heartbroken, and Cooper having no idea what caused the distance between them. Now, Eva is looking for an internship to complete her accounting degree. Cooper, Eva’s brother’s best friend, is in need of serious help with cleaning up his books for Golden Spades Distillery. Seb finds the perfect solution for both. Cooper isn’t only in need of help for his business; he needs to get his parents off his back. So he tells a little white lie that has Eva pretending to be his fiancé and living with him.
Cooper is a broken bad boy. He is protective, but especially of Eva since they were kids. He doesn’t know how to communicate his feelings or how to manage his emotions. Which leads to a lot of misunderstandings and emotional whiplash for Eva. If you’re like me, you’ll be screaming “Just ask her and find out instead of assuming.” At the same time, Eva had me laughing when she told him off and corrected his assumption.
Eva is a numerophile. She is brilliant, hilarious, and loyal. As an introvert myself, her depletion of her social battery and needing time to herself to recharge was very relatable. Eva loves to bake and is an avid listener of true crime podcasts. But don’t underestimate her; she is fiercely protective of her loved ones. You don’t want to be on the receiving end of her wrath. Just ask Cooper.
The slow burn was addictive. The flashbacks to their childhood fed my soul as we patiently waited for these two to admit to each other that they have always had feelings for each other. I think sexy lumberjack might be a new micro trope for me, and I love it! That scene will live rent-free in my head. As always, Vyk throws a twist in the last 10% of the book, that always has me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend the whole series!
Thank you, Vyk Peters for this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions, and a review.
I sense a theme here... Book 4 in the series, Evangeline has life path 4 and doesn't do odd numbers. So 2 +2 =4 . There's 2 in a pair. 2 2's make 2 pairs.... may the 4's be with you!
It takes 2 baby and it certainly takes that amount to bring the heat to the table.
Cooper has stumbled his way through life, neglected by his parents therefore seeming himself unworthy of other's affections. He is yet to discover what family really means and that finding love and acceptance is well within his reach
Evangeline is your typical awkward introvert. She's incredibly intelligent yet past hurts cling to her weighing down her confidence and self belief. The one guy she's always wanted to notice her, seems repellent to what she really wants
As events in the story unfold, peppered with childhood flashbacks , we are treated to the brilliance and wonder of friendship and family. How Cooper always had the love and backing there in Spades but the veil was yet to lift.
The character development is really something. Vyk does this so well. It's hard to explain in a nutshell cause my brain just ain't mathing right now. The sex swing gets a much needed boost (around the halfway point) once the meaty part of the plot has erected itself enough to get the 🌶 party started 🥳 As I said earlier, it takes 2 to bring the heat to the table. What was really beautiful and shamelessly feel good, was the climax of Cooper and Eva's confidence levels as well as their Libidos They stick it to the man and then some!!
Thank you Vyk aka Queen Nibs for this delicious delight
Vyk Peters has officially re-cemented herself as an auto-buy, auto-read author for me. Honestly, this book was pure crack, utterly addictive — I couldn’t put it down if I tried. There’s just something about her writing that holds me hostage, and I can’t (and don’t want to) break free of her hold. Every page had me either laughing out loud, swooning, or clutching my Kindle like a madwoman.
The Aussie slang and banter were absolute gold — felt like I was right there with the gang, talking rubbish and taking the piss in the best way possible. The relationships and friendships between the boys and girls were just chef’s kiss — so real, so warm, and full of chaotic love.
Cooper… sigh. Another drool worthy blonde book boyfie, and the way he’s so protective? He might’ve just stolen the crown from Seb as my new book boyfriend (sorry Seb, love ya but Coop’s got you beat). The man’s not just a book boyfie — he’s a full-blown Lumber Snack.
And can we please talk about Xavier?! I laughed so much every time he opened his mouth. The man is comedy gold and 100% needs his own novel — hint hint, Vyk!
Vyk brings the passion, the heat, and the rain — iykyk 😏🔥
I’ll leave this review with one final thought: Rain. Lumber snack. sweatpants. Enough said.
I’ve never read a book as quick as I devour those written by Vyk — every single one is an instant obsession.
Vyk Peters has done it again. King of Spades is dark, dangerous, and deliciously addictive from the very first page. The chemistry between the characters crackles with intensity — it’s raw, passionate, and completely unputdownable. Every twist had me on edge, and every tender moment made my heart ache in the best way.
The writing is sharp, emotional, and cinematic. Vyk has this rare talent for pulling you right into the world — where every kiss feels like a threat and every secret could burn everything down.
If you love morally grey men, powerful women, and stories that leave you breathless long after the last page, King of Spades is your next obsession.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) King of Spades by Vyk Peters absolutely melted me—heart first, then brain. The chemistry? Off the charts. The banter? Flirty, funny, and just unhinged enough to make me giggle-kick my feet. There’s tension so thick you could spread it on toast, and enough spice to fog up your e-reader. But underneath all that heat is real heart—messy love, vulnerability, and characters you can’t help rooting for. Vyk Peters really said: “you’re gonna blush and feel things.” Mission accomplished. 🔥♠️💋
oh my god, the chokehold this series has on my heart is insane ! I love the dynamic between Coop and Evy, the will they won’t they and the undeniable love they have for each other ! My heart cannot take it !!
I meannnn who isn’t a sucker for forced proximity, fake dating, and brother's best friend?? This book had so many of my favourite tropes and Vyk did them so well!!
The slow burn of this book was so perfectly formed, the anger, and the passion? Ugh so damn good!!
Eva is one of my favourite FMC, strong, not afraid and will sure as heck put someone in their place when they need it! Coupled with the classic playboy MMC, Cooper, it is perfect!
Cooper and Eva! Yes please! LOVED this book, the flashbacks, the friendship, the storyline. Thank you so much for the ARC! Well done V.P! You’re smashing it!!
I know i throw 5 stars at Vyk's books, but i just cannot help it. Eva and Coopers love story was no exception. Sunshine Evangaline and troubled Cooper were a match made in heaven and I think Cooper is tied for my fave MMC of Vyk's (iykyk, baby boy Seb has to share now) because a man that will protect his girl is my FAVE. Already itching for the final book of the series, PURE MAGIC! Thanks again Vyk for the ARC read xxxx
OMG I LOVE Cooper!! This series has blown me away! I’m not a contemporary romance girl and I’m eating this up!! How am I suppose to wait for King of Diamonds!???
After loving the first 2.5 books in this series, I had extremely high hopes and my god, did this book deliver. This is my favourite of the series and I honestly can’t get enough of Cooper and Evangeline. I’ve read other ‘Brothers Best Friend’ tropes that haven’t quite hit the mark but Vyk Peters has put all the angst and tension she could into this book and it’s certainly paid off. The flashbacks to when they were younger just added so much value to their story. You can feel the tension from that younger age right through to the last page of the book. The spice was spicing and the first push against the wall had me throwing my fists in the air. It was perfect. So swoon worthy. I could not put King of Spades down. Hats off to you Ms Peters 5⭐️
I absolutely ADORED this book! Thank you so much for allowing me to read it early, I honestly had the best time.
I loved that our FMC Eva was a little bit of a math nerd whilst also being such an introvert. She decompresses and sorts through all her thoughts whilst listening to music, cooking or by working through numbers because math never lies. She was honestly so likeable and relatable throughout this story which I think made me love it that little bit more!
Our MMC Cooper presents as a little bit of a playboy however that is the mask he wears for the rest of the world. He is a successful business owner and throws himself into work to escape his life problems. This man does have a bit of a morally grey streak to him in the sense that the way he blows off steam is not necessarily legal but it allows him to fight his demons in the only way he knows how to. Cooper also struggles to communicate his thoughts and feelings through words as he was never really taught how to express himself in a safe manner.
These two did spend a lot of time growing up together as Cooper is best friends with Eva’s brother. She knows him better than he knows himself and vice versa however they have never had a previous romantic relationship. Don’t get me wrong there was definitely a mutual attraction between them all those years ago but a comment was made one day and Eva made the decision to retreat and put as much distance between them as possible.
Fast forward in time, Eva needs a job, Cooper needs someone to sort through his business finances and of course her brother offers her up for the position. As if there wasn’t already enough tension between the two of them already, Cooper ropes her into pretending to be his fiancée in a bid to get his overbearing parents to back off. These two spend a lot of time together just like old times both during work and at home since they now share a house together. The attraction they had for each other all those years ago is still there only much stronger and pretending to be in love isn’t all that hard when you don’t really have to fake it.
The small and thoughtful gestures sprinkled throughout this story was one of my favourite aspects, the found family and of course the yearning they both had for each other really captivated me. I also loved how possessive and protective Cooper is over our girl Eva and the little moment of jealousy he had did in fact leave me cackling. Also I did not pick the plot twist! I was honestly so surprised when the truth was revealed and of course our girl Eva was the one to piece it all together.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS — Vyk Peter’s Has Done It AGAIN!
Vyk Peters books have owned my heart since Book One, and somehow her writing just gets sharper, hotter, and more addictive with every release. This book? Absolutely phenomenal.
Cooper has always deserved his HEA, and he finally gets it with Eva. Childhood-best-friend’s-brother to lovers at its finest—with twists that kept me guessing right until the end. I devoured every page, completely swept up in the seamless flow between past and present as Evangeline and Cooper navigate their intense feelings while trying to convince everyone around them that what they have is real.
You’ll see familiar faces from earlier books, but it still reads beautifully as a standalone.
The chemistry and tension between these two? DELICIOUS. When it finally exploded, I was basically feral. Cooper and Evy are such a perfect match—each bringing out the absolute best in the other. The depth Vyk gives her characters is second to none.
I loved Cooper before…but now? I’m obsessed. The moment he rode off on that motorbike, I knew I was gone for him.
And let’s talk tropes because this book really has it ALL: ✨ Brother’s best friend ✨ Fake dating ✨ Forced proximity ✨ Workplace romance ✨ Sex. In. The. Rain. If that doesn’t sell you, nothing will.
Between the numbers, the brawls, and the barrel metaphors, this story turned me into a feral, cackling, heart-clutching mess. If you like your romance scorching, your humour a little filthy, and your men capable of both fighting and fermenting? This is your new religion.
VYK—how do you destroy me every single time?! I genuinely thought you couldn’t top Sebastian… but you’ve done it in spades (yes, pun intended). PLEASE hurry up with Diamonds—because I am thirsty for that enemies-to-lovers heat.
An absolutely brilliant addition to the series. I adored every page, and Book Five is guaranteed to be another hit
Thank you Vyk for allowing me to ARC Read this book. I have loved this series, and couldn’t think it could get any better (I was a Seb girl), but here you went and topped it by made us fall for Cooper Dane.
💚💚💚💚💚
Evangeline’s always had a thing for her older brother’s best friend Cooper - ever since he purposefully tripped a school bully for calling her “four eyes” when she got new glasses.
Cooper’s always had a thing for his best mates little sister - as she sees him for who he really is, behind his mask and he has always felt this need to protect her.
But after 17y/o Eva overhears Coop referring to her as “just a kid”, her heart breaks and she distances herself to save what’s left.
Now all grown up and about to finish her business & finance degree, Eva needs to find a 6 week work placement, otherwise she’ll have to pay back her student loans.
Cooper’s whiskey distillery business is going amazing, but something in the numbers just doesn’t add up. If only he knew someone he trusts to help him with the books… see where this is going? 😉
There’s unspoken renewed feelings and looks of attraction from across the room. There’s motorcycle rides and a fake relationship to keep Coop’s parents at bay. There’s a slow burn that makes you want to scream…. But ohhhh myyyyy does it ignite in the best possible way! 🪵🪓
It’s an amazing story filled with great characters, heart warming moments, steamy moments 🥵 and moments where you know you have to fight for the one… the one you have always loved.
“What was the protocol for emailing your potential supervisor who was also the only man you viciously m@sturbated over on more occasions than you could count?” - Eva
“It was only her. Always only her” - Cooper
“You’re going to break me” - Cooper “And then I’ll put you back together” - Eva 😏
Me, after finishing this book: “No, I’m fine.” Narrator: She was not fine. She was mentally in the rain with Cooper pinning her against a tree 🌳🥵
I’ve come to realise that Vyk Peters might just be Rebecca Yarros’ long-lost literary twin, the one who shares her talent for emotional carnage, perfectly flawed characters, and female leads with enough sarcasm to power a small city.
Evangeline and Cooper are the kind of almost slow burn that makes you want to throw your Kindle and then cradle it lovingly right after. Childhood crush? Check. Forbidden attraction? Check. Chemistry so thick it should come with a fire warning? Double check.
Eva’s the book-smart, over-thinky academic, while Cooper’s the street-smart, morally grey chaos merchant, with a tragic backstory. He’s the kind of man who makes you want to fix him, even though you know you shouldn’t, and let's be honest, he is pretty perfect, flaws and all.
The workplace tension? Had me in a chokehold. The longing? Unholy. The trauma? Deliciously inconvenient. And that sex-in-the-rain scene? 🥵🌶️🌧️ Let’s just say I could taste the whiskey and mint on my lips long after that scene ended.
Fans of Ali Hazelwood’s clever spice, and Brynne Weaver’s hefty humour, this one’s for you! And if you’ve read the King series, you’ll love the little cameos from all the characters you love and love to hate (Arna, I’m side-eyeing you 👀).
Vyk Peters delivers angst, humour, and heat in equal measure, the holy trinity for romance readers everywhere.
Buy it. Read it. Hydrate. Maybe stretch first. I warned you ⚠️
VYK Peters delivers again with Book 4 of the series, and somehow each installment just keeps getting better. King of Spades gives us everything readers crave from a brothers-best-friend romance—but amps it up with the perfect mix of fake dating, forced proximity, and deliciously tension-filled banter that only Peters seems able to nail so consistently. Cooper and Eva are the heart of this story, and they absolutely shine. Their dynamic is one of those rare romances where everyone around them can see the longing long before they’re willing to admit it to themselves. The years of mutual pining, the quiet glances, the almost-confessions—they all add up to an incredible slow-burn payoff. You feel the yearning on every page, and the emotional payoff is chef’s kiss. The banter is sharp, playful, and honestly addictive. Whether they’re pretending to be together or being “forced” into close quarters, every moment crackles with something more. Cooper is lovable in that steady, quietly-protective way that makes a best-friend-turned-lover irresistible, and Eva is his perfect match—smart, warm, and capable of matching him quip-for-quip. Together, they’re the kind of couple you root for from page one. If you’ve been following the series, this book feels like a reward. If you’re new, it’s the kind of story that makes you want to go back and devour the earlier books just to spend more time in this world. A standout addition to the series—romantic, funny, tender, and absolutely addictive.
Tropes Forced proximity Fake dating Workplace romance Brothers best friend Sex in the rain My wife Morally grey Found family
Firstly thank you to the fabulous Vyk for the opportunity to read her book King Of Spades which is the fourth book in the King Series. This series has had me in such A chokehold. This was so so good and I can't wait for more.
King Of Spades follows Cooper and Evangeline. These two have been friends since childhood with Cooper being besties with Evangeline’s brother. One night when they are young Evangeline over hears A conversation between Cooper and a girl and thinks the worst, her heart left shattered. Fast forward and Evangeline needs somewhere to do her placement so can finish her degree. Enter Cooper. Although Cooper may just have something a little more than just work colleges in mind. Try fake dating to get his parents Off his back? He also wants her to move in... Sparkles fly, feelings bubble to the top. How will this end?
These two have electric chemistry, great banter, A fabulous girl gang, that fabulous found family vibe, there's sweatpants 🥵, Cooper knows his way around an axe 😏 and the spice is 🥵🥵
If you’re looking for your next read check out Vyk’s newest release. There's a lumber snack who happens to wear grey sweats. Need I say more...
This book surprised me with how well it handled the fake engagement between two friends, because it never leaned into forced drama or tired clichés. Their miscommunication actually felt like it came from who they were as people, not because the plot needed chaos, and that made the whole trope feel fresh instead of overdone. The flashbacks before each chapter added a slow burn kind of depth, showing exactly how Cooper and Eva shaped each other over the years without ever feeling repetitive. I found myself vibing with Eva more than I expected, especially with her little quirks like needing things to be even numbers and half trusting numerology. It gave her a charm that felt real instead of trying too hard. Cooper’s arc carried more emotional weight, and watching how his father treated him, how the fighting was handled, and how much he was pushed around by people who should have protected him was genuinely sad to read. That made his connection with Eva’s family even more meaningful, because they gave him the softness and stability he was never shown, and watching him grow through that support was honestly the best part of the story.
How many book boyfriends is acceptable? Who cares, I will take Cooper as well. Thank you Vyk 😁
This book had me hooked from the very first page. Evangeline thrives on predictability — numbers, formulas, the safety of logic — and watching her step into a situation that is anything but predictable made it impossible to put down.
Cooper has always held her heart, and when the two are suddenly forced into each other’s orbit, the tension is undeniable. Chaos, longing, and a fake relationship collide, pulling me in for the ride.
What struck me most was how their dynamic shifts over the course of the story. At first, it feels like Evangeline is walking into a trap — six weeks of forced proximity with someone who has always seemed untouchable.
But as the walls begin to crack, the relationship transforms. What starts as a calculated risk quickly becomes something deeper, messier, and far more dangerous to her heart.
The emotional intensity builds beautifully, and by the end, I was left desperate for more.
Tropes • Fake Relationship • Brother’s Best Friend • Forced Proximity • Unrequited Love Turned Real • Slow Burn
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can you bang ME in your barrels, Cooper?
I have never wanted to be a whiskey barrel more in my life. This book had me blushing, laughing, and recalculating my life choices because Evangeline is a walking spreadsheet with 1000 questions, and I’ve never related harder.
Cooper? A motorbike-riding, whiskey-distilling, brother’s-best-friend who throws punches and headbutts and looks good doing it. Sir, I’m begging you—fight for me too. (Please. Sir.) Also, take your shirt off again because holy Brad Pitt junior. Come to mumma!
Between the numbers, the brawls, and the barrel metaphors, I was feral. If you like your romance hot, your humour a little filthy, and your men capable of both fighting and fermenting, this is your new religion. VYK! HOW DO YOU DO THIS TO ME EVERY TIME. I actually thought you wouldn't be able to top Sebastian...but you've done it in spades (see what I did there?) PLEASE hurry up and bring me Diamonds because I am thirsty for that enemies to lovers heat.
King of Spades is book 4 of the King Series. Can be read a standalone.
This was my first time reading a novel by Author Vyk Peter, and I was highly impressed by how quickly I fell in love with her writing.
🥃Fake Dating 💚Brother’s Best Friend 🥃Forced Proximity 💚Found Family 🥃Second Chance 💚Workplace Romance
This was such a delightfully engaging read. Plenty of banter, off the chart’s chemistry between the MC’s🔥
Evangeline is our FMC who is intelligent, passionate about numbers (4 is here nemesis), witty, loves to bake & tells you how she sees it. Loyalty, honesty & protectiveness is a trait that runs in the Micallef family.
Cooper, a brooding MMC who grew up in a wealthy but loveless environment, is a driven workaholic who has successfully launched his own whiskey distillery. However, his inability to communicate effectively fuels his anger issues, causing him to push everyone away.
I'm looking forward to revisiting it from the start and I highly recommend it to others.🫶🖤
