If truth be told, I usually skim business books. But I read this one cover to cover — and ended up underlining half of it.

Bakkaloglu offers a rare mix of rigor and relevance. It’s quietly iconoclastic — challenging default thinking around HR, leadership, and data without slipping into hype or buzzwords.

In a marketplace flooded with glossy leadership books that overpromise and underdeliver, this one actually holds up.

A must-read for CHROs, forward-thinking senior leaders, and anyone serious about making better decisions in complex systems. You don’t want to be the one pretending you’ve read it when people and business strategies are getting created.
