This was a limited time freebie that I ended up skimming large
parts of. He's a divorced professor, she's a student. They have sex and it's supposed to be a dirty secret but neither of them are very good at keeping it a secret. But he seems oddly aware of things that she hasn't told him, so is there something he's hiding from her?

I don't know, these set-ups in which older teachers have sex with sweet young students are problematic. Forbidden relationships could seem spicy if there's chemistry, or sleazy, if there's not. But in his defense, he is always there for rescue when she's about to be sexually assaulted or in other trouble. And he has a dog.

when she was 11 she was besties with a boy who was 17... *major side-eye*, like, what was wrong with him?
