Ken Fite returns with another great thriller in his captivating series. A congresswoman is kidnapped and held by some ruthless Russians. This forces Blake Jordan and his team to act swiftly. However, her rescue opens up new and troubling information, not only about the kidnapping, but a larger plot across America. While stymied on occasion by other federal agencies, Jordan will have to get to the root of the matter before the spillover is catastrophic. Ken Fite keeps the reader highly engaged until the final reveal.
News of the kidnapping of a US congresswoman in the middle of the night sends Department of Domestic Counterterroism Agent Blake Jordan in to help. A group of Russians have her, forcing Agent Jordan to use force. While the congresswoman is saved, one of the Russians was long thought dead and the plan has gaping holes. Before long, it is revealed that the plan may have many prongs and involves others at the highest levels.
The truth about the congresswoman soon piggybacks onto a larger conspiracy that has some shocked. DDC agents try to run things, but face a brick wall, especially when an intelligence director long presumed dead is apparently alive, someone in the government is covering it up, and other branches of the United States intelligence structure is seeking to freeze everyone out. Proof that the plan targets many, some as high as POTUS, leaves Agent Jordan determined to get answers, no matter the consequences.
Teaming up with FBI Agent Allie Hunt, Jordan is able to ascertain some of the answers, but also finds himself struggling with truths he cannot swallow. He realises just how high and troubling things can become if he does not act soon. Forced to make calculated decisions, Agent Blake Jordan soon discovers that either truth could cost him everything. A brilliant addition to the series so far, Ken Fite has outdone himself!
Ken Fite has often dazzled in his storytelling and abilities to create something exciting for readers. He crafts this latest story in such a way that no one can really see what’s coming around the bend. The narrative flows with ease and keeps the reader on edge, while developing connections between last novels and setting the groundwork for future pieces. The characters remain on top of their game, developing with ease and effectively influencing the story in many ways. The plot is sharp and constantly evolving, keeping the questions plentiful and forcing the reader to hunt for answers as best they can. Fite has impressed in the past and keeps doing so!

Blake and team save the day, again!
Excellent book, well written and full of twists and turns.. Life got in the way and kept me from reading this latest book, when I had planned, but once I did…I could not put it down.
I enjoy the characters, how they work together and each have their own strengths. I thought I had the bad guy figured out, but of course I didn’t.
The use of voice recognition and AI was chilling and had me wondering, could this really happen? Would there be a Blake to save us?
I received an advance copy for an honest review and I loved the book and highly recommend you read this book.
Each time I think the books can’t get any better, they always do get better.

Blake is back temporarily at the Chicago DDC office and helps out with rescuing a kidnapped congresswoman. It seems to be a successful mission, until Blake is provided with information that leads to more and more questions. As can be expected, it will take all of Blake's skills and intuition along with help from his friends to get to the bottom of a far-reaching conspiracy. This is a fast-paced story that will have you turning the pages to see what will happen next and whether Blake will trust the wrong person. I look forward to seeing what the next book will have in store for Blake.

Not as well written as all the books leading up to this one.
Ken Fife has got to be one of my favorite authors of Political Crime Thrillers. That being said, I found this book with too many phrases that were the same to describe various characters reactions, such as, she ‘made a face’ or he ‘made a face’ over and over again, throughout the story. There were other similar words and phrases used repetitively, too. Just disappointing, but I am still waiting for the next book to be published and will definitely be reading it.

Good fast paced story
Blake and his.colleagues have a fast paced life as they try to keep our country safe. The characters they come across from all walks of life have different ideas on how our country should run. So when the 2 groups run into each other, there's plenty of intrigue and drama in.hopes that the good guys come out on top. Makes me wonder, how close to the truth.does.this story run?

I really enjoy this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone. I find the characters relatable and the energy pulse pounding. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. It makes you wonder what things are happening in real life that we never hear about. I am always excited when I see a new book by Ken Fite.

Twists of Mind and Actions
Blake Jordan gets into yet another situation while keeping America safe. This book has more twists and turns than imaginable. He and Jamie get their plan laid out and then it all goes to pieces! If you have read any of the other Blake novels, you will get wrapped up in this one for sure!

Outstanding Blake Jordan Story
Ken Fire did an outstanding job with this latest story. I was hooked from the first page to the last. The plot development was spotless. The technology used in the story is current with real life. There are numerous discussions about AI, good and bad, and Mr. Fite shows how it can be used either way. I’m looking forward to the next edition.

Another Great One!!
I was beginning to wonder when the next installment would come and this story did not disappoint! Fast paced and action packed. A page turner to the end! Can't wait for the next book!!

Best one yet!
I have enjoyed the Blake Jordan series from the start. This particular book in my opinion is the best yet. It really was a page turner and not an improbable premise given the AI world we live in today. So Ken, when’s the next one coming out?

Surprisingly interesting
Except for the final chapter, this novel is a page turner. You don’t know who are the bad guys while you keep being disappointed by those you think are the good guys!
