Rate this book
He’s the club’s enforcer.

Cold. Controlled. Dangerous.
But when a broken little girl with secrets in her eyes lands on his doorstep, everything changes.

Blade doesn’t do feelings. He doesn’t do soft.
But Lily?
She’s all sunshine and trembles, pigtails and bruised trust.
And she just became his responsibility.

After being blackmailed by a rival MC and forced into silence, Lily’s only goal is to survive. Trusting the Spartan Watchmen means risking everything—especially with Blade watching her every move, laying down rules, and delivering consequences with a firm hand and a growled “good girl.”

She should be terrified.
Instead, her heart whispers Daddy.

When the past she tried to escape comes hunting for her, Lily will have to decide if she’s strong enough to stand… or finally ready to fall into the arms of the one man who swore to protect her at all costs.

Because Blade doesn’t believe in halfway.
Once she’s his—she’s his for good.

MINE TO PROTECT. MINE TO CHERISH. MINE.

The Spartan Watchmen are comprised of former military members, who all have served and have a brotherhood and bond. They do a lot for the community, band together, and protect what is theirs. They right wrongs and do their best to keep the Grand Ridge safe.

The story picks up after Savage and Savannah’s story. At a Citadel’s play night for littles, Blade, a former SEAL and the Watchmen’s enforcer, spent an evening building towers and getting to know Lily a little bit. When he learns more about her, about what she was forced to do, he knows he has to rescue her—and that is exactly what he does. The Watchmen also believe they have a mole in their midst, and so taking her to the club won’t work; instead, he takes her to his mountain cabin that is near Valhalla property to protect her.

“My woman. She wondered if he was even aware he’d spoken those words. The fierce protectiveness in his voice made her stomach flutter. This man, this warrior, was ready to wage war for her safety. It was both terrifying and exhilarating.”

The Rejects MC is a violent group, into criminal activity, and they use threats to coerce people to do their bidding. Lily is caught in that trap, expected to spy on the Watchmen and help destroy them. With the help of Tim, she escapes the Rejects, but her life is in peril, living in fear in a seedy motel until Blade rescues her.

Lily Hart isn’t a simpering female; she is a warrior, and she proves that to Blade and his brothers. She was raised by a Marine father who taught her and her mother how to protect themselves, how to use weapons, and that training will help save her life and that of Blade and others. War is coming—a battle of good versus evil—and Lily will prove she is a Warrior Princess. But it won’t just be Lily who shows her skills and integrity—Makenzie will be by her side, and Kylie will be driving the vehicle.

Makenzie: Think about it. Jose sees Lily and me, two scared littles, no obvious threat. His guard will be down. I can stay close to Marcus while everyone focuses on Lily. He’ll underestimate me. They all will.
Irish: It’s too dangerous.
Lucky: She’s not wrong. Jose’s intelligence will have identified all patch holders. But the littles? They’re largely invisible to him. Just extensions of their men, not threats in their own right.
Mackenzie: That’s exactly why it will work. He’ll underestimate me. They all will.
Savage: It’s actually tactically sound. The best insertion strategy is often the one the enemy never sees coming. But it might be our best option.
Lily: If Makenzie is willing, I think it’s a good plan. We’ll look exactly like what Jose expects, scared women being sacrificed by their men. His guard will be down.

Lily: I love you.
Blade: I love you too. Now go be the warrior I know you are. And come back to me, baby girl.
Makenzie: Ready?
Lily: Ready.

“The little girl retreating, the warrior advancing. Not gone, her little side was never gone, but protected deep within, where Jose and his men couldn’t reach her. Couldn’t hurt her. Couldn’t use her vulnerability against her. Today, she would be steel. Today, she would be fire. And tomorrow, God willing, she would be Lily again. Whole. Safe. Home. Little. In Daddy Blade’s arms, where she belonged.”

The story has the good, the bad, and the evil in people. When the Watchmen start a deep search, they discover enough to let them know that Savannah, Lily, and Tim aren’t the enemy; they are caught between a rock and a hard place—do the bidding of The Rejects, or family members could become innocent casualties. Will Lily trust Blade enough to tell him what is happening and believe that he and the Watchmen will protect her—and her parents? Who is the mole within the Watchmen, and is there only one?

I absolutely loved this page-turning tale and the secrets revealed about Lily and her father. She may have her little side, and need it at times to help decompress—knowing she is a little, but she is so much more than that. I felt that the various Watchmen had to do one of the hardest things for a protector to do—relinquish control when lives and the future are on the line.

Blade has been sent by the MC to find Lily, another little girl who was caught up with being coerced by the Pedro's Reject. Lily knows she betrayed the MC and she can't understand why they would want to protect her. I loved how the author showed us the development of their relationship, first with their DD/lg part, but also when Lily stepped up to protect as much as she had been protected. I especially loved how Blade, who only wanted to see her safe, realized how he had to allow her to be herself, whichever part of her she wanted to be. The ongoing storyline in their war with the other MC continues through this story and had me on the edge of my seat. Great HEA.

This book was more about the threat and less about the relationship, nothing wrong with that but where this chapter was in the overall series it totally made sense. “Thrilled” was really funny coming from Blade’s mouth. I absolutely loved Lilly’s b@dda$$erry character, she totally surprised Blade, many, many smiling moments with this development. Essential is a word for this read. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

What a great addition to the Spartan Watchmen MC series. Lily has been abused, but when Blade rescues her, she shows how resilient she is. The relationship between Lily and Blade was wonderful to watch grow. Blade wanted her as his Little, but he also wanted her to be herself. Lily liked being Little, but she was also a strong, determined woman who could protect as well as be protected. I loved the story, and I look forward to more in the series.

What a great read, just loved Blade and Lily’s story. How these two build a DDLG relationship while life throws everything at them is a wonderful page turning read. She’s so much stronger then she ever imagined and Blade never thought he’d find his little girl in this tiny blonde bombshell Their story keeps you reading till the very end to see how it all works out!

A wonderfully written story. Lily needs help and Blade comes to her rescue. She doesn't understand why she deserves it but is thankful for it! Now Blade just needs to help her understand that she belongs to him and he will do whatever it takes to keep her with him. Their connection was good and you'll be rooting for them the whole story!

crucible moments

A fitting description of the trials these two go through.
As well as the whole group.
I missed a couple of the other books on the series, but the situation wasn’t hard to figure out.
Good story
