Well, I'm glad these two (blind ejits😉) friends finally became lovers. They let their brains talk them out of stuff for too long, something had to happen and it took Lucas dying to jumpstart the loving part. Ajax was never going to let his one shot go to waste.
Another full, action and drama packed, sexy story from Charity Parkerson, another fun read.

I loved this deliciously dark romance wrapped in danger, loyalty, and impossible choices. Ajax and Lucas’s relationship simmers with tension from the start — a mix of forbidden longing, lethal stakes, and the kind of emotional intensity that only comes from two men who could save or destroy each other. Lucas’s near‑death experience casts a long shadow, and the forced proximity of his recovery only sharpens the edges between them. Ajax’s devotion is fierce, possessive, and tinged with the ruthlessness of a man who serves a prince who rules from the shadows. Lucas, sharp‑tongued and wounded, is caught between wanting to run and wanting to stay. Their bond is messy, morally grey, and undeniably compelling. If you enjoy dark romance with power imbalances, dangerous secrets, and a love that feels as risky as it is irresistible, this story delivers exactly that. This was an MM story with mature content.

The sensitivity with which Charity paints her characters is evident as the story opens: ‘It was supposed to be a routine collection. That was all Lucas could think as he moved through the back alley, searching for his prey…Lucas ran drugs for Prince Noir. No one escaped that guy…’ From that intro on is a dark but entertaining ride – another Charity Parkerson winner!
