In this heart-pounding sequel to the #1 New York Times Bestselling Blood Moon, Mira will have to learn how to be the monster she fears...

People are going missing in Timber Plains, and before Mira can figure out why, her own parents are kidnapped. To save them, she must brave a dangerous world of vampire royalty . . . with Julian at her side. Both of them have power the vampires want to control, and they will use those Mira loves to try to force her fealty. Trust is tenuous in the wake of his betrayal, but Mira and Julian will have to rely on each other to survive the deadly trials of the court.

In the centuries-old palace, their love is tested, but Julian might be the only one who understands what Mira is going through, who can support her through her new transformation―and the dark hunger that threatens to consume her.

After the Blood Moon rose, Mira’s world shattered. The legends she once dismissed as fairy tales are now terrifyingly real―and more deadly than ever.

Thank you Page Street and Edelweiss for this eARC, these opinions are my own. An exciting sequel! Since the days of the Blood Moon Mira had been waking up in strange places, in strange clothes, often covered in blood. They aren’t sure if she is killing anyone but people are still going missing. Julian is plagued by his actions on the Blood Moon worried that Mira will never forgive him. But he’s also been feeding off human blood more, he knows he shouldn’t but he can’t stop, and it’s making him so much more powerful. Vampire sightings are beginning to increase in the area and tensions are still high between the Fullblood wolves and the Blood Lycans. Mira can see the distrust growing from her father each time someone goes missing. He believes she’s capable of murder. And the truth is he might be right. Soon there’s a strong new presence around campus and they seem to be targeting Mira and Julian. Mira’s blood lust is growing each day and the more power Julian uses the weaker he becomes. When they are kidnapped by vampires they’ll be forced to compete in a series of trials to stay alive. Will they make it out alive? Still enjoy the relationship between Julian and Mira and I like seeing out it develops with Mira’s distrust and rage against Julian. Wanting something you know you shouldn’t. And for those that wanted more of a love triangle Britney Lewis delivers that with a growing connection between Mira and Seven. Exciting, thrilling, tense and had me on the edge of my seat! Plus the ending! I cannot to see what’s next!
