Overall, I like this world, and I have no complaints about triplet alphas in charge, ruling over their brethren with an iron fist because they care.
This last installment shows brother Hunter finally finding his mate. Though a lot shorter than the previous two books, this was still wolf shifter smexy goodness.
Fue una lectura muy corta, en comparación con los otro dos... Entiendo el por que fuera tan corto pero no logré conectar con Hunter como hubiera querido, considerando la imagen que tenia de él (y de ella) por el libro anterior 😭

❥ 𝑶𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝜗𝜚˚⋆ Gosh I loved her. She is unserious, funny and strong willed.
❥ 𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 ࣪⋆✮ He is a possessive and dangerous alpha male. I really liked him.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 Another great book by Lola Glass. She really is one of my favorite fantasy romcom authors at the moment. Her books are fun and easy to read. I always have a good time and laugh a lot while reading. This was a short novella but I loved it regardless. Olive and Hunter are a good match and their tension is great. Both are strong willed and their banter was chefs kiss. I like the fact that there was no unnecessary drama and just a cute and short love story. Olive and Hunter deserve their happy end and I‘m happy for them. This whole series was great and I‘m kinda sad that it’s over.

Yes, this is a novella. Yes, I wish it were longer, but I understand that there is no point dragging something out if it isn’t true to the characters. However, I love Lola’s books, and the longer they are, means they take longer to read! This book was no disappointment. I love the now healthy Olive and grumpy Hunter. This book made me chuckle and laugh with their antics and stubbornness. I love their spark, arguments and their make-up scenes! This was an excellent read and a great ending to the series.
Is it weird to say that I liked this in the same breath as admitting it felt phoned in?
Because this WAS cute. But it was also entirely too short. I feel bad for Hunter - not getting the same length of a story as his brothers got. Was his story just...not important enough?
This novella could have been so much more. Both Olive and Hunter have complicated histories, there could have been some real emotional growth and bonding. A whole learning arc for the both of them trying to figure out how being mated wolves looked - since she's so new, and he's been without any interaction in the female department for over a century.
Instead there's zero drama, zero action. Zero trust-building. Nothing but screwing and "Okay we're together forever now the end".
I was prepared for that - and I'm still a little disappointed.
Also that epilogue was...a lot. And by a lot I mean, I think I counted like 15 babies? Seriously?
Just as silly as the first one. Still very Wattpad-ish I did appreciate the author making it a novella and not dragging their story out for 300-400 pages!
And what the hell with all these babies?!? Sure sure sure. They give birth in multiples - twins sound fine. But these people popping out armies of babies!! 👶
I guess it makes total sense that the twins fell for 2 of the triplets. This was a quick, easy read. It didn’t drag me in the same way the others did, but it was still cute. I think I would have liked to see Oli and her wolf interact a bit more, understand Hunter’s issues a bit more, but like I said - short and sweet
I loved this. Am I a little disappointed it wasn't longer? Always...because Lola Glass knows how to write a great story. I devoured this in a little over an hour. The story was uncomplicated and perfect. It was nice to see Hunter and Olive's story. I loved that they were complete opposites. Olive is ready to enjoy life as she, now has a second chance. And while Hunter isn't into extreme adventures he does it for her.
This was a really cute, short and sweet novella of Olive and Hunter’s mating. It happened on accident but, they completely fell in love and it was worth it. Just because something is short it doesn’t mean it’s not packed with substance. I really enjoyed it!
I didn’t love this one like the others but I still enjoyed my time reading ! Olive and Hunter are cute and the story was enjoyable. Quick fun read. 3.25⭐️
I'm completely in love with this series ! although to was short it was a beautiful story
it was so nice to see hunter in a different light and I'm really glad at the end of the book it gave an insight to the overall family and they all got their HEA!
Congrats lola on an amazing series. 💖

This book didn’t give me enough time to connect with Hunter and Olive as characters and a couple or let go of my somewhat negative bias toward them, considering they both had reputations that needed redeeming. Because of that, I feel a bit indifferent about the book overall.
In my opinion, Hunter and Olive’s story could have been included in the second book instead of making the third one a novella.
I’m giving it 2 stars, mostly because of the small snippets featuring my favourite couple (Enzo and Aspen!), but that’s all I can give.
Lola Glass’ final book in her Marked Beneath the Moon series is OUT NOW!! It’s Hunter and Olive’s story and it’s a novella, which I thought was the perfect length for their story. Hunter doesn’t have the greatest past with women and Olive just got a second chance at life. They don’t plan to become mates but life happens and they find out that they may not have planned but they may just be what the other needs. Also, I love his nickname for her, Oli Pops. I’ve never met a Lola Glass book/novella that I haven’t loved. She is definitely my romantasy comfort author. I cannot wait to see what her next series is!
I liked her reasoning for why this was a novella and not a novel but for that reason I am giving it low stars. While Hunter is redeemed I did not find it fair that a man who was so guarded would tell a woman all his secrets in 2 minutes. But one of these was known due to the other two. Other than that I was an end. That’s what it felt like, just an end to a story and needed the last brother wrapped up.
Another irresistible romantasy gem from Lola Glass! This novella is everything fans of the genre crave—packed with drama, sizzling chemistry, and just enough emotional tension to keep your heart in your throat. Lola Glass masterfully delivers a story brimming with spice, humor, and a touch of angst, all wrapped in a world of sexy wolf shifters, fiercely protective alphas, and emotionally rich storytelling. From the very first page, I was hooked. The banter is sharp, witty, and had me laughing out loud more than once. The dynamic between the characters is electric, and the hint of a love triangle adds just enough tension to keep things interesting without overwhelming the central romance. Glass's characters have a natural, effortless chemistry that lights up every scene they share—whether they’re clashing in a heated argument or falling into one of their steamy, perfectly-written make-up moments. Olive, our heroine, is a force of nature. She’s spirited, bold, and refreshingly honest. After enduring her own trauma, she’s determined to reclaim her life on her own terms—and that includes setting clear, healthy boundaries. Her ability to express her fears and insecurities, particularly around Hunter's past with her sister, shows real emotional maturity. It’s powerful to see a romantasy heroine prioritize open communication and self-respect, even in the face of intense passion. Hunter’s character arc is deeply satisfying. Though emotionally guarded, his effort to change and connect more meaningfully with Olive is tangible. Watching him fumble through expressing himself, only to come out with something beautifully heartfelt and sincere, is genuinely moving. His growth feels earned, not rushed, and by the end, I felt fully invested in his redemption. His love for Olive feels raw and real—shown not just through words, but through actions that reflect his transformation. What also sets this novella apart is how well it balances its elements. Yes, the spicy scenes are deliciously hot—written with both heat and heart—but they never overshadow the emotional journey. In fact, the intimacy feels purposeful, enhancing the connection between Olive and Hunter rather than just serving as filler. Despite its shorter length, this story never feels rushed or underdeveloped. Every scene serves a purpose, every moment contributes to character growth, and by the final chapter, I felt fully satisfied—like I had just finished a full-length novel. The themes of healing, second chances, trust, and self-empowerment are all woven beautifully into the narrative. This book made me laugh, swoon, and even tear up a little. It's a must-read for fans of romantic fantasy who want substance alongside their spice. Lola Glass continues to prove that she knows exactly how to deliver emotionally resonant, wildly entertaining stories—with heart, heat, and just the right amount of bite
“The Wolf Guard’s Mate” by Lola Glass is a 🌶🌶🌶 paranormal romance novella that serves as the final chapter in the “Marked Beneath the Moon” series. It follows Hunter, the last of the triplet brothers, and his mate, Olive, who is Nova’s twin sister.
Newly transformed into a werewolf, Olive is navigating her new life after being saved by her sister, Nova, from dying of breast cancer. As she adjusts to her new normal, Olive works at the pack bar, eager to embrace her second chance at life. With her first heat approaching, she wants to explore intimacy before it strikes, but Hunter, defying his own rules, can’t bear to see anyone else near her. When she asks him, he can’t refuse- he’s been obsessed with her for months. Everything goes great until a fateful bite during the full moon seals their bond as mates. Now, they must confront the challenges of their new relationship: Hunter's "no mates" policy and the ghosts of his past with Nova. Can they forge a future together, or will their history tear them apart?
Hunter is officially redeemed in my eyes. The journey we take with him, witnessing his struggle to communicate and grow, makes his transformation all the more powerful. The way he opens up and the lengths he goes to make her happy (especially in the 6-month epilogue) speak volumes about his change. Olive is a vibrant character, fearless and determined to make the most of her second chance at life. She doesn’t conform easily, especially when it comes to Hunter, and her spirit shines brightly throughout the story.
“Wolf Guard’s Mate” is a heartwarming paranormal romance that embraces the cozy elements of love. With no third-act breakups or cliffhangers, it’s a straightforward tale of two people who come together, overcoming their pasts and embracing their future—a hallmark of Lola Glass’s writing.
So, grab your cozy blanket, find a comfy reading nook, and prepare to be swept into this charming love story.

Olive is twin to Nova, and Hunter Savage’s wolf thought that Nova was his mate. Boy, was that wolf wrong. lol (see previous book) Olive is now trying to prep for her first heat and Hunter is constantly watching her and warning other Alphas away from her, even Jake the sweet and friendly one. lol. I totally am in love with him too. Hunter is the gamma wolf of the triplets that run the Crimsons. He is also in charge of the security as well as all the gadgets, etc. I found the book to be total mischief and mayhem and crazy. There are a lot of misunderstandings. You would think Hunter would know to speak up, but noooo. lol. I found myself shaking my head at the miscommunications. We get to learn more about the triplets growing up and why Hunter is the way he is. What they went thru breaks my heart. You really should read the books in order as it hits better. They are just soooo good! I love them. So, thinking that ‘getting it out of their systems’ would work between Olive & Hunter, they weren’t paying attention to the day. Things progress and since it is a Full Moon, they were unable to stop themselves from biting each other and becoming mates, which sent Olive into Heat. lol I laughed so hard at Nova’s reaction I had to run for the bathroom. lol. The book is funny, crazy, weird, romantic in a weird way, and steamy as all get out. Did I want to smack Olive a few times. Yes. Did I want to do the same to Hunter? Oh, yeah triple the amount of Olive’s. lol. I really enjoyed seeing more of Hunter’s house. The end was awesome and I’m sad to see the end. I sooo wanted to know more about all of the kids. Lol.

We meet Olive as she adapts to her quickly changing life, adjusting to the shocking realization that she’s no longer on the brink of death, and that her sister has returned to her life.
The way Olive handles the trauma of surviving breast cancer is both vulnerable and beautiful. She doesn’t shy away from finding humor in the darkness, and I appreciated that it’s something she and Hunter could genuinely share and laugh about.
Beyond that trauma, Olive brings valid fears regarding Hunter’s past with her sister. She communicates her concerns clearly, showing the development of a healthy relationship with Hunter as they work through the challenges. It’s also clear that Hunter struggles to express himself, but when he does find the words, he’s incredibly sincere and direct.
As per Lola Glass’s standard, the spicy scenes are HOT while also celebrating the beauty of every body. The intimacy supports the story without overwhelming it—the real focus remains the emotional relationship. Even though this is a novella, it doesn’t feel rushed.
Olive even says that after nearly dying, she wants to do things that feel risky, that bring her immediate joy, like jumping off waterfalls. So is it really so crazy that she’d be willing to roll with the punches and her chance at powerful love?
I’m so glad we got Olive and Hunter’s book. Their story also ties up several other plotlines, but even if it hadn’t, I just wanted Hunter to find love. Thank you, Lola. I know this one couldn’t have been easy to write.

Another fantastic, spicy romantasy by Lola Glass; full of drama, the hint of a love triangle, wonderful characters with brilliant chemistry, family, friendships, sexy wolf shifters, overly protective alphas, heaps of humor, banter and spice💖. Another that I couldn't put down and would strongly recommend.
Having found Aspen (in The Wolf King's Mate) while looking for another wolf he'd scented, Hunter had then managed to find Nova (in The Wolf Prince's Mate). But though his wolf wanted to claim her as his mate, Hunter had refused and eventually she had persuaded his wolf to leave her alone. She had brought her sister back to save her life and he's now not been able to stop protecting her, as the new female wolf in the pack.
Olive is ready to enjoy her new life, without pain. But her biggest pain now is the massive brother of the Alpha, her sister's brother-in-law, who's presence in her workplace is making finding someone to help her deal with her first heat difficult. So she suggests one night together before it hits, what could go wrong?
This pair are brilliant. Hunter runs the security for the pack and when it comes to Olive he's mostly in denial but still overly protective and possessive. She's confident that she's going to enjoy life after cancer, even if that means finding ways to try new things and entertain herself in his mansion.

Continuation of the Marked Beneath the Moon series each reads as a standalone but hang on you won’t put it down and if you haven’t read the previous books, you will find yourself reading them. Hunter and Olive are totally opposites, making everything complicated and we love every second of it talk about entertaining. (They say opposites attract and they make a believer out of us). Olive has been given a second chance after recovering from cancer, working at the pack bar, itching to get out and she intends to enjoy her life by taking an adventure every chance she gets. Hunter sexy as all get out typical jealous “nobody look at her” … “no one can have her but me” attitude from the moment he sees her and the magnetic pull between these two was so strong one night of passion sealed their fate when his took control baiting her during the full moon and his no mate policy went right out the window! We go on their adventures and watch the two of them grow together but will Hunter learn to communicate, will he grow as a person/mate, will he accept that she is who she it confirming isn’t a part of her, she is meant to enjoy life but can she show him how to enjoy life, and is there happiness for these two somewhere along the way?
H: Hunter h: Olive (Nova's twin sister) I was very excited to read the snippet of this book from book 2, when Olive called Nova using Hunter's phone abt them sleeping and biting each other under a full moon, creating a mate bond). I have to say this book was not what I was expecting- and not in a good way. It was really rushed (and I get it since it seems all the other info happened on book 1 and book 2) but still, I expected so much more from Hunter. This book was really really short in comparison to book 1 & book 2. So after I finished the book I read the "afterthoughts" of the author and I can understand why she made it so short BUT still I'm slightly disappointed because I was ready to be taken to a new Hunter and Olive world in this book and it did but not really far or really that long. Overall I did like the story but not as much as book 2.
This is book three in the Marked beneath the Moon series. This book features Hunter, the protector and security master for the clan and Olive aka Oli-Pop the twin sister of Nova from book two. I have enjoyed this series. I know the author said that Hunter and Olive’s story had to be shorter because she did not want to give them problems. There is so much available material to write about to increase the length of this book. It could have been a combination story with Jake finding a mate during the same timeline. What about a book for Fletcher and Sydney’s story or Simon’s story. Simon definitely deserves a mate and happiness because he has helped Aspen and Fletcher. There are still some interesting characters that would be great to add to this series. I did enjoy the two epilogues with the Savage family and new additions, however, I wish the author would have told us if the girls were born wolves. Read On!
Hunter surprised me with his changes from The Wolf Prince’s Mate. His immediate obsession with Olive was nothing short of intoxicating. Their mating made perfect sense to me. They made perfect sense to me. I don’t believe Hunter and Olive’s story could have been told in any length other than a novella—Anything longer would have felt wrong, given Hunter’s history and Olive’s cancer. This was a great series. Loved it.

The Wolf Guard’s Mate book three brings the series to a close with intriguing brother Hunter’s story. Sweet, spicy and entertaining this grumpy shifter finds himself tangled up with fate and Olivia the sister of Nova who is now happily mated to his brother Clay. I enjoyed Hunter’s romantic take down which didn’t disappoint as this short novella which was nicely written, engaged with humor, vulnerabilities, delightfully crafted characters, and a steamy attraction that took off when Hunter agrees to help Olivia through a dry spell in intimacy before her first wolf heat arrives. Just one night turns into a whole lot more for these two “I don’t want a mate deniers” because its a full moon and biting during one leads to consequences! Excellent story which ended on a most happily ever after.

This is the third in the series and while it is a lot shorter in length, it wraps things up brilliantly. This is Hunter and Olive's story and it doesn't need to be any longer. After finding themselves mated on a full moon they both have to find a way to deal with their new situation. We discover more about Hunter's childhood and can understand him better. Olive is determined to live life to the fullest now that she has a second chance and a grumpy mate was not on her list but seeing them together and their interactions and antics just felt right. I loved that their story isn't complicated, with just the right amount of stubbornness in both of them. I adored this series and this was the perfect way to end it. Thank you Lola.
Hunter and Olive's story was a sweet conclusion to this series. I overall enjoyed the story, though there were parts I wish were a bit more fleshed out. BUT, I've read the author's note at the end of the novella and respect that she pushed through to give us closure on this series. Realistically, Hunter was never going to be my favorite MMC, so that definitely colors my opinion of the story. Olive was a fun FMC and I didn't expect to enjoy ber as much as I did. Overall, definitely a worthwhile read and the storylines get wrapped up neatly, which I really appreciate.

I absolutely loved this series. But i was a bit disappointed to see this book only had 12 chapters compared to the previous ones which were significantly longer. I loved the relationship Hunter and Olive had, however Olive’s story was told in book 2 rather than this one which was about her’s and Hunter’s journey - this is the main reason I have rated it 4 stars; I would have also liked to see flashbacks of how Olive’s life was before she was introduced in book 2 and all that has happened to her.
HOWEVER, it did not stop me to love the book as much as I loved the rest of the series! ( I do love overly possessive broody fictional men!!).
