Historians have said that World War II was a continuation of World War I - but with greater violence and less regard for the values of civilization. The Treaty of Versailles - which had officially ended World War I - had caused the European balance of power to swing wildly. Germany had been stripped of her colonies, divided into pieces, and burdened with a staggering war debt. New nations were created; old hostilities were renewed. Some of these hostilities had found a voice in a new political fascism.
Joseph Stromberg is a research fellow at the Independent Institute and has held the JoAnn B. Rothbard chair in history at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. He received his BA and MA from Florida Atlantic University, and his further graduate work was completed at the University of Florida.
Excellent presentation as always by Stromberg whether I agree or not the information is still presented well formatted, and written with purpose.
If anyone who has read my text knows I’m a Hitler fan and am sure he would have taken Russia has his supply chain czar was honest and not the deceitful incompetent liar he was. Imagine what a small nation with purpose can accomplish given the right brilliant leader. Recall people cheered the entrance of servicemen coming to save them from the ruin. Remind me who was paying the east to take the caravans of people raping the lands without bounds causing starvation, havoc, murder, missing boys, and trouble in their wake.
Can you say reparations!!! Imagine what will come if the topic comes to any fruition in the US, just use Germany as an example of what not to do to a people forcing their hand at every turn causing outrageous taxes, never ending labor. Anyone who say anything negative about Hitler just ask them do they know anything at all about WWI.
