Anna Romano never chose this life. Disabled, discarded by her family, and handed over in place of her sister, she is forced into marriage with Gleb Romanov, the cold and brutal leader of Russia’s most feared Bratva. Her role is give him a son, end the blood feud between their families, and disappear.
But Gleb won’t touch her. He sleeps beside her, protects her like a possession, kills for her without hesitation. yet denies her the one thing that could fulfill their twisted contract.
To his world, Anna is a weakness. To him, she’s an obsession. A weapon. His undoing
“You’re mine, Anna. I won’t touch you. But God help anyone else who tries.”
As Anna begins to fall for the man who both imprisons and shields her, she realizes there’s more to Gleb than violence and vengeance. Behind the scars is a man as broken as she is. A man who might be capable of love or total ruin.
But secrets run deeper than desire. And when the truth behind their marriage unravels, Anna must escape her captor… or risk everything for a man who was never meant to be hers.
O.S Feathers writes dark, twisty love stories about morally questionable men and the fierce, brilliant women who bring them to their knees, sometimes literally. She has a soft spot for arranged marriages, possessive antiheroes, and heroines who know how to shoot or at least threaten with style.
She drinks too much coffee, lives for slow-burn tension, and has never met a knife-to-throat scene she didn’t love. When she’s not writing, she’s probably researching obscure Russian swear words, rewriting a spicy chapter for the third time, or convincing her characters that therapy is not, in fact, the enemy.
If you like your love stories messy, dangerous, and just a little unhinged, she’s got you.
Another asshole. Another doormat. More BBS. Great premise. TERRIBLE execution. Irredeemable hero. Stupid side stories. Super unrealistic. Needs an editor badly. He won’t touch her bc he promised ex lover while she was dying that he would mourn her for five years before moving on. So catching feelings doesn’t count as moving on as long as he doesn’t kiss, touch or fuck her?? *scratches head*. This mafia “badass” is also terrified of his grandma. Easy to figure out the “mysteries”. Barely any POV from H.

I think this was a "fun" read, but there are multiple plot holes, typos, and inconsistencies throughout the book. It made it hard to stay immersed and truly connect with the characters. I find it frustrating that the book is marketed as a "disabled heroine", but the author's understanding of disability was seriously lacking. My advice to the author is to be careful writing about something so delicate when you do not understand it yourself; this was not a proper representation and was borderline disrespectful.
Anna and gleb He’s in a wheelchair and is forced to marry him then discovers lots of secrets about her life. He protects her but won’t touch her- he promised his ex love 5 years he’s mourn (you don’t really find out anything about her though)
The concept of the plot was good but the execution needs improvement. This read like it was written in 2X speed. There is some dialogue that felt out of place and I found myself confused at times to the purpose of the dialogue. I wanted more in the relationship once it turned to love but it was lack luster. The pregnancy was rushed as they had finally been together and then the story started to skip and felt rush. 1.5 ⭐️ only for the concept of the plot it has good bones but needs a good edit and rewrite and the spicy scene need more passion and details. Won’t be continuing this series. The MMC starts off strong in the first few chapters. He’s aggressive and harsh but then later you find others are really in control aka his grandma. He’s suppose to be head of the mafia. He just came off weak in the end.
This book had potential but it was redundant, and there were lots of holes in the story. It skipped around, didn’t include what could have been excellent scenes. It felt incomplete.
I wanted to love Gleb and Anna so much. I did don’t get me wrong but there was also so many flaws of them both where I just couldn’t love them at the same time. However, I really think it was because Gleb is more of a realistic written men than your ordinary mafia type of guy. He did have the “touch her & d*e” troupe so I liked that. His harsh words towards her really hurt me but nothing I can do about that but see where their story will end up. Thankfully, we did get a happier ever after for our couple here. 🤞🏻
“I’d do it all again. Every war, every wound. For you. For them.”
“So would I,”
“Inside, our children dreamed, safe because of us. Out here, we were just Anna and Gleb, enemies once, lovers always, wrapped in the quiet miracle of now.”
Gleb and Anna were enemies pushed together through an arranged marriage. So much of this story I couldn't understand Gleb's reluctance because he seemed to be two different people but once he shared his back story... Oh my. Loved these two and I can't wait to read Misha's story!
This book had MAJOR plot holes and it was very stretchy. I found it on tiktok and wanted to try reading it but I felt as if the book was first written on wattpad and then published. The second book sounded interesting so I am going to give it a go, but the first one didn’t grab my interest in the way that I thought it would.
Utterly disgusting book with how the MC keeps treating the FMC and how pathetic and weak the FMC is for a abusive MC's love and adoration. The author should be ashamed of herself, to write such disgusting derogatory books. This is not a dark romance book, it's just a misogynist glorifying book that's trying to hide behind dark romance title. I need to bleach myself after reading this garbage.
Hero is jealous/possessive but wont touch the heroine when they first get married because of a promise he made his dying lover - no details are actually given about the lover;
Grandma kidnaps heroine way too many times - it got lame
2.5 Bar, the fact there were multiple typos i actually got pretty into the plot and storyline until the last few chapters. Then I felt like I was missing way too much information, and it got super confusing and felt like a different story
1.5 stars - I don't know how I even got to 80 percent. The story is very odd, the chemistry non existent...the development is all over the place and the FMC is annoying. There was some intrigue so I kept reading.
