I'm so done with this series. In the beginning it was kind of hot but I kept waiting for these disgusting women to finally pay for what they have done (rape, torture, violation both physically and mentally etc) but it's clear now that they are just going to get away with their crimes. What would have made this book perfect is if Kael was able to capture Rayne and steal the Obedience Protocol, and take them both back to the Resistance then use the program on Rayne. Of course it would need to be adjusted with Kael's voice among other things. If I could rewrite this story, I would have made it so Rayne would mentally be aware of what she was being made to do and who she once was. Basically, she would be fully conscious of everything but would be unable to stop her body from responding due to the conditioning. That would be the perfect payback. I'm also not into that whole pet play crap.
