How do you like your Beef??

This novella like the others in this series was such a joy. I had a really long week at work and this hit the spot. This series has featured some very spicy scenes. I don’t know if you remember the orc that had to get a bucket , because he had so much love it was flooding the floor and it also cleared acne. Well this one did not disappoint either this is my first time reading a romance anything with sounding. This story depicted it just as spicy as a video and I couldn’t get enough. Oh my my, but this make me scream and I even phoned a friend and made her go purchase a copy. If you haven’t went out to get a copy yet you must. This was so worth the read and if it was an audiobook I’m sure it would make everyone blush.

Good gravy (heh heh) this book was fun! Thick Beef was yet another great read from Layla Fae!! To say I’m a big fan of this author would be an understatement.

How does she do that? How TF does she make me want things I shouldn’t want?! Don’t really care though, because I enjoyed the hell outta this.

Thick Beef is a well-written monster romance that has humor, heart, and steam for days. Lysander is a lovable character - he’s patient (ish), kind, determined, protective, and has a heart of gold. Judith is lucky to have accidentally stepped into the wrong place at exactly the right time.

I am not kidding when I say I want to be Layla Fae’s best friend. I am in awe of her monsters and their stories and especially her mind! Loved this story as much as I loved her other ones in this series.

Completely OTT fun!! 🐮

Jude is running from loan sharks who are trying to collect on the debt her dead father left for her when she ends up hiding in a warehouse. Surprise! It’s a place where women go to get chased around and f*cked by minotaurs. Lysander scents his mate right away and obvi he has to have her and breed her. Eventually we get to the raunchy bits where his 💦 smells like gravy! You get oral for both of them, and banging in both the front and back doors!!

Personally, I didn’t like the stuff with the debts and def didn’t like all of her commitment issues and complaints. I also wasn’t sure why everyone was shocked to see a minotaur. It doesn’t sound like they live in secret, but they act surprised that one exists. That part didn’t make sense.

Everything else is fun and sexy.

I really enjoy shorter monster romance novellas in between my contemporary romance reads and this fit the bill. Thick Beef was very light on plot and heavy on steam. It doesn't make the most sense, but it's a fun romp with an over the top protective alpha minotaur with a one track mind. I can always count on Layla Fae to add in interesting details (tastes like gravy! ;)) and every book/novella I pick up by her is always a fun time.

Thick Beef by Layla Fae follows our FMC Jude, who’s on the run from the loan sharks her recently deceased father was indebted to. In her mad dash to escape, she finds herself in what she thinks is an abandoned warehouse, but soon learns the building is certainly occupied, and it’s occupants are up to some very interesting things…

Lysander is the proud owner and operator of the Minotaur Run, where consenting and enthusiastic humans can be chased around a maze by a Minotaur in an act of primal mating. Sometimes this union can even form a mating bond, if scenting is reciprocal.

And this very thing happens when Jude stumbles across Lysander in the maze. But will she learn to trust, and eventually love, him?

Layla Fae’s use of quick writing, steamy spice, and humor ranging from casual to outlandish make these types of stories really work for me. A serious case of truly horrific writing could easily make these not worth it. Same could happen with leaning too heavily on the outrageous humor. It’s a delicate balance, and couple that with just plain fun, and Layla Fae has another winner on her hands.

Honestly, authors like Layla Fae, Cassie Mint, Jessa Kane, and etc have come through for me in more ways than one. Their works are some of my absolute quick hit, go-to romance or erotica stories. LOVE TO SEE IT!🙌

i was CACKLING the whole time while reading this book LMFAOOO

i loved the fmc (even tho she was a little irritating sometimes) and i loved the mmc. i was absolutely flabbergasted by the gravy-flavored cum (i have several questions about that btw) 😭 and the cock sounding 😭 i was horrified by the description of his dick 😭 but the spicy scenes were surprisingly hot LMAO (i have nothing to say for myself)

some things didn’t make sense but i think i was so shell-shocked i didn’t even question them lol

i will most definitely not be adding this author’s other books to my tbr *wink wink*

I love Minotaur stories, I think it comes from my love of Greek mythology and this is a great short erotic minotaur read. Lysander, yes, I said Lysander, and Jude were very cute together. Poor Jude, who has legitimate trust issues, is running from the mob for something that she had no part in (life is very unfair) and in the process runs into our Minotaur hero Lysander, who is participating in a Minotaur "run", where Minotaur's chase women and have their way with them in a huge warehouse maze. Smack, instant soul mate! At least on Lysander's side. Jude gives him a swift kick, and runs almost right back into her mob pursuers and Lysander saves her in a actually surprising manner... it gets better from there. Go read it and find out what happens next!
