This psychological novel is about Olivia, a young actress who plays the part in a TV reconstruction of a missing 17-year-old, Rita Dale. Gradually Olivia finds herself being drawn into the mystery and finds it taking over her real life. Then her room is ransacked, just as Rita Dale's room was just before she disappeared.
