Edge: Season One #2

Edge, Episode Two

Rate this book
Death came first...
When Reveca first crossed King she knew her heart was stolen. She'd never get over the likes of him. Not a warrior who understood the power within her and flamed it into life--a man who could read her soul with one gaze.
She was right.
He was ripped from her side, and she was imprisoned. The world around her died.
In a new life, in a new world, the pain was still as rich as the day it first tore her in two.
The dead call her the Queen of Darkness. To the living she's the Pentacle Daughter, the only female member of the Pentacle Sons MC. Both were well aware that she was a witch better left uncrossed.
The balance between the wars her and the Sons fought with both the mortals and immortals fueled the adrenaline they all craved--needed, but it never tested them...that is until King returned days after the Club was shaken to its core by a sickening betrayal.

As the past and present collide, the stakes have never been higher for Reveca, or the Sons.

Edge is a novella series in a Paranormal Biker Romance, set in the great city of New Orleans. Rich with action, mystery, romance, and mysticism.

I'm an obsessive daydreamer. Lover of loud alternative music. I love to laugh until it hurts. Fall is my favorite season. Black is my favorite 'shade.' Strong believer in the saying: there is a reason for everything, therefore I search for 'marked moments' every moment of everyday...and I find them. Life is beautiful!

Finally the backstory I wanted. So good although I still have questions that needs answers. The world Mater created is great, its set in NOLA but it feels darker and more ominous than expected. The witches she made are powerful and the real thing, Reveca, Saige, & Jamison are not to be crossed with.

Revecca was sent into the world beyond to retrieve a soul, but doesn't know what soul. Usually newly acquired souls are weakened from the journey but not King. Revecca knows this soul. When she was but a girl she met and fell in love with this soul. He is the reason she'll never give her heart to another man. Why is he here? How can her siblings do this to her?

Edge Episode #2 picks up right where we left off. Reveca’s somewhat solid romantic life has just been ripped to shreds. Her sister has forced her to barter for a soul in Episode #1. Once the soul returns to Earth Reveca knows her already crazy life has now gone up a few notches. The soul is the man who owns her heart. A lover she took before she was ever immortal. He rocks her to her core. His reemergence on earth has unsettled her because she feels the pull of his soul and past feelings come flooding back to her. She struggles to continue her relationship with Talon as well keep King at a distance. Yet, her romantic coming and goings are the least of her worries. The woman who GranDee sacrificed herself to save isn’t going as planned. She has to make extra measures to insure she survives.

I’ll warn you this book is an extremely quick read. However, I love its episodic style because it makes you feel like you’re reading a live action TV Show. The twists and turns keep you engaged and longing for the next episode. This series is impossible to set aside so you might as well warn the significant other in your life to just pick up dinner. Come on episode 3, Lauren really wants more supernatural badass bikers in her life!!

Reveca brought King back from the Veil. But she remembers him as Kenson, the man she fell in love with before she became immortal all those years ago. She still feels the pull of his magic. The hum it creates to be near him. The love and desire she has for him. But she is with Talon now and she doesn’t know what to expect from King or why her sister insisted he be brought back. She doesn’t have time to worry about it either because right now she is trying to save the life she brought back from the Edge for GranDee.
What kind of hell is Reveca in now…Can she figure out how to save this mystery girl? Will she figure out why her sister required King’s return to earth?

I have to tell you, for an extremely short book, this Edge story is really killer! I am loving every second of it and cannot wait to read the next one. While reading this episode as well as episode 1 I was filled with excitement. It was impossible to put the book down for any purpose. I definitely would recommend this book to bad ass biker fans as well as paranormal/fantasy lovers.

I received episodes 1-4 through Netgalley for an honest review. The following is my review for the first 4 episodes.
The Edge started out a little confusing and I wasn’t sure what I thought about it. I was intrigued by the idea of a paranormal MC and figured I would keep reading to see where things went. I am glad I stuck it out. I am still a little unsure about all of the paranormal details but I have been drawn in. The Edge is like a soap opera, there are several things going on and they unfold out in true episodic drama. There are times that the wording is a little hard to follow but the series as a whole is addictive.

Paranormal beings, magic and a MC hooked me from the first episode.

Two things I have a fascination with, motorcycle clubs and witches and both well written by the Jamie in edge. In 4 short chapters I am completely hooked. Something about Jamie's writing just draws you into the story and this one is no different. Revecca who is the Queen of darkness and a daughter to a lethal motorcycle club portrays the ultimate strength of a woman. As someone who has read many books about mc's this is a whole new playing field. I love how it is episodes and we get updates every two weeks, like watching my favorite show. Can't wait till episodes and find the connection with Cashton and King and the girl, also the amazing Chemistry between Revecca and King
