The setting of the book begins in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee and moves south to Saint Petersburg, Florida. It’s a story where the good men are bad, and the bad men are really good. The main character, Cali, is a battered wife of a Sheriff’s Deputy. She has no hope and no confidence. She makes the decision to end her life, but she is stopped by an ex-marine, single dad and very handsome activist. With his help Cali blooms from a shell of a woman, to a female no man would ever want to cross. In the process she finds everything she ever dreamed of, a family, and a man that truly loves her, only to have her soon to be ex attempt to take it all away. The problem with this is he has no idea how strong Cali has become, or that her new friends are on the top ten terrorist list.
