I wanted to read He Found Me by Whitney Barbetti and it was going for .77c on kindle. Then I came across this anthology for the exact same price as He Found Me plus six other books... so why the hell not. So, I'm getting the book I want plus six others that I may not have touched before and I am also introduced to new authors... Winning!

Seeing as this is seven novels within one, I'm going to review each individually. I am also going to base my rating for the anthology as the average of all seven books.

Spin My Love by Chantal Fernando
2.5 Stars

I found this novel to be lacking and too predictable.

I've read stories like this before and honestly I find them all the same. Now, I love HEA's but I want a little bit more effort. I'm not a big fan of angst but a little drama is needed.

Dearest Clementine by Lex Martin
5 Stars!

OMG This book has just made it to my favorite list!

The writing was easy going and humorous, and I was hooked from the first chapter. I couldn't put it down.

I love how Clem and Gavin interact with each other. I would love to be in that relationship. They're so cute together that it makes me just want to squish them!

He chuckles, pulling me closer. “Baby, I hate to tell you this, but we’ve been dating”— he leans down and kisses my neck—“ for a while.”

No major angst but their is some misunderstandings that had me nearly screaming at the book for the characters to realise. But other then that it was a great, enjoyable read.

I honestly wish that there was a follow up to their story. I have my fingers crossed for a mentioning in the companion novels or maybe one of their own in the future.

I will definitely be reading more by Lex Martin in the future!

Deep Blue by Jules Barnard
3 Stars.

I read reviews for this novel that had me apprehensive but I found it a good read. Toward the end though, everything felt a little rushed. The pacing was good at the beginning but once the drama started to kick in I felt it was rushed to get it over with.

Also the last chapter didn't feel very final to me. I just felt as if the book just ended randomly. I know there are other books to follow but they are about other characters so I'm hoping that I get to see more of Cali and Jaeger in them.

I will definitely be reading more from this author!!

I thought this novel was very unoriginal. Being inspired by someones life events is one thing but to pretty much use every detail isn't the same thing. It's taken someones life events and changing names and small details. Yes, parts are added in and yes, there is some differences but come on! It's basically Robert Pattinson's life during his Twilight years but he has a best friend that's madly in love with him.

There's too many similarities with how he got the part and moving to LA, the movie being based on a best seller about an angel falling for a human, to getting cheated on by his costar/girlfriend. And that's only me naming a few.

And this is the reason I couldn't enjoy this book. Now don't get me wrong the writing was great and I loved the humor that I read but it didn't hold me. I was skipping pages constantly. As for a Twilight fan I felt like I was rereading interviews and stories I already knew about the actor.

This book is a work of fiction. Names and characters are the product of the author’s imagination and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.

Yes, "coincidental".

He Found Me by Whitney Barbetti
4 Stars.

Loved it and I can't wait to read the follow up!

I love Andra's relationship with Julian and with the rest of her friends and coworkers. They're like a big family.

It's not a love at first site type of novel but it does happen quickly.

"This wasn't the insta-love of teenage romances. It was totally honest insta-lust."

This line also lead me to believe that this book was going to be filled with smexy times but it wasn't and I'm happy for that as it would have taken away from the story.

I was lead to believe that it ended with a cliffy and it does... kinda. It's not dramatic and it doesn't leave you screaming at the book.

Now I just have to be patient for the sequel!

Oh, there is also a slight connection with Ten Below Zero. I think the connection takes place in He Saved Me.

As I also own this separately, I will post the review for this book there also.

The Right Kind of Wrong by Jade Eby
3 Stars.

I enjoyed it but I hoped for more.

I honestly don't have much to say but what I will say is that I think there wasn't that much romance. I felt it was more so based around the project for school. I would have loved to seen a bit more on the events of after the project, and I would have loved to seen a bit more romance between Kara and Vince.

The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen
4.5 Stars.

I really enjoyed this book! I loved how Corey and Heartly interacted with each other. It was great to see a couple with such a strong friendship.

I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for one thing. When Heartly finally maned up and did the right thing he had all these excuses on the ready. I got the impression from reading his POV that he had no clue that he liked Corey and then when they finally become a couple it seemed like it was all part of his plan.

Now, Stacia on the other hand. A bitch throghout and right at the end she's nice. Yeah.... No!

But one of the things I really loved about this novel was Corey's condition. In other books I have read hero/heroine with any type of condition such as blindness, hearing loss, cancer etc they all get cured. In this case, Corey doesn't and I love that. Yes, she has ways to work around it but she's always going to be that way and sometimes that's how life is.

I can't wait to read more from Sarina Bowen!

Combined all the ratings. This is an awesome deal for 7 books so I'd one-click that ASAP!!

Spin My Love by Chantal Fernando

3 stars
For a fast paced novel told in dual POV's, I really enjoyed this but at times I was left thinking, 'why did this just happen?' Giselle and Tane have known each other since they were kids so as they grew up, their feelings started evolving. With the two-year age difference, I personally didn't see what the problem was until Tane hit 18 then it's understandable. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable read. I can't really say much because it'll be a HUGE spoiler for anyone going into this blind but if you've read a sample of this then you know what happens. And then that ending! OMG, WHY?!?!

I can't wait to see what book 2 of this series will be about!
**This is a standalone novel*

Dearest Clementine by Lex Martin

5 stars
Okay, seriously, what can I say about this book besides it was perfect??
Things I liked:
Clementine's name!! I love unique names and she is just that. Unique.
GAVIN. MURPHY. Holy hell I freaking love that guy!
description

Things I didn't like:
NOTHING!

Clementine and Gavin were just so adorable that I couldn't stop smiling at everything they did together. They were together but not really together. Does that make sense? Gavin obviously likes the girl so he's helping her with a school assignment but you see more than what Clementine sees. She's bitchy and not interested in guys after everything happened to her so Gavin is in for a rough ride. He is what every girl out there wants. And he is definitely book boyfriend material.

There is the perfect amount of romance, mystery and friends that are to die for that you'll want to have them for yourselves.

Lex Martin has a way with words and you won't be disappointed.

This is highly recommended!

Deep Blue by Jules Barnard

I'm conflicted on how to rate this book. I'll just stick with 3 stars because there were parts I absolutely liked and others that were just, eh. Cali was a hard person for me to like. I don't know what exactly it was but something wasn't clicking for me. I loved her inner dialogue and sarcasm. She was funny at times and it kept me reading. Jaeger was a fun addition to the book. Everything kind of happened too fast in between chapters (skipped weeks or months) so I was kind of left bummed. :/ It was a quick read that passed the time.

Dazzled by Jane Harvey-Berrick

Um, first I have to say Miles is British. <3 YES!!! Aside from that, I liked the story. Claire is in love with Miles but she doesn't tell him because she has some serious doubts about herself, and Miles was really clueless about it so they were really close friends mostly throughout the book. It was nice to read about but I really wish I saw more happen sooner. The ending was sweet! :)

He Found Me by Whitney Barbetti

4.5 stars
I really enjoyed He Found Me and you may be thinking, 'then why only 4.5 stars?', let me tell you. This can easily be a 5 star read. Hell, it is. The main characters, Andra and Julian, felt real and I freaking loved their back and forth banter. It wasn't insta-love, it was insta-lust and that made it even better. You clearly feel the sexual tension between them and it'll have you waiting for that right moment when everything just clicks. I loved everything about this book except for that one part at the ending. I will not tell you about it. You need to read this book. ;) Reading that part had me tearing up a bit and wishing someone got a broken ankle or something to keep them from running. Seriously...I didn't want it to happen. The moments before that were just so perfect!!

Andra comes from a very heartbreaking past. Losing family to having a family member abuse you will seriously f*ck you up so she's closed off and doesn't let anyone in. The exception being Rosa and Six (both know the real Andra; Cora) who play a really big part in Andra's life. And then comes Julian. That man had me at 'he's a writer' and then everything that left his mouth just made me love him even more. He and Andra are so alike that you just know they're meant for each other. He's sweet, has a way with words (and looks) damn, those looks that he gives Andra...and those dates...

Back to the point before I start swooning again about how perfect and fun they were. This was a very enjoyable read with just the right amount of mystery, romance and suspense. And witty comebacks. And a swoon worthy author. And...I need to stop now!

This was a great debut and I look forward to reading more from you Whitney! :D

I would definitely recommend this book and I can't wait for book 2 (He Saved Me)!!

The Right Kind of Wrong by Jade Eby

Secrets are uncovered when aspiring journalist Kara Pierce has to do a project for a class. Insert the guy she hates; Vince Gage, and you know things are going to get good. I love reading about family history and life changing twists so I was thoroughly entertained.

If you're looking for a quick read with some mystery and a bit of romance...alright more than a bit of romance, (it's actually pretty cute when the grandmother's story is told) then I'd recommend this.

The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen

4-4.5 stars
I love stories that bring up disabilities because it's rare to find one!!! Eep, I loved this except for some parts where I was left thinking, 'that was fast' 'what a moron' 'DON'T DO IT!' 'annnnnnd, it's officially awkward' 'buuuuuut it was hot and they needed it' ;)

Corey and Adam are neighbors who happen to also be injured to the point that one is refined in a cast and crutches (Adam/Hartley/Hartthrob) and the other in a wheelchair (Corey/Callahan). They immediately click because they understand what the other is going through. Only problem is, Corey is falling for this guy...but he has a girlfriend.

I hate cheating but you don't get it in this book so YAY! Adam's girlfriend is off in another country doing her own thing so I was glad about that.

I loved the writing, the characters and the story. Will definitely be reading the rest of this series!

I am never sure what to expect with anthologies. Sometimes they are awful and sometimes they are on point. When I glanced at the list of the novels in this anthology, I noticed a really amazing book: Dearest Clementine by Lex Martin. I figured if the rest of the books were similar to that particular novel, then I would enjoy. Plus, it was a splurge at only 99 cents. :)

Out of the 7 novels in the anthology, I thoroughly enjoyed all but one... Dazzled by Jane Harvey-Berrick. I couldn't read it, didn't enjoy it, and quickly skipped my way to the next novel. I highly recommend this anthology!

I thought what a great deal for 99 cents. The only books I totally enjoyed were those I had prviously read. The other books weren't worth my time.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
