A Fresh Perspective on Beating Workplace Stress...
In Working Hell to Working Well: Making Your Company Work for You, Lindsay Barnett writes like someone who’s been in the trenches and found a way through. This isn’t about waiting for a miracle from the top down—it’s about the quiet, deliberate shifts we can make ourselves: a change in how we speak up, how we set boundaries, how we choose to show up each day. With warmth and practicality, Barnett lays out a toolkit for finding balance without dimming your drive.
What lingers is how approachable the book feels. It’s slim but rich, weaving together hard-won wisdom with steps you can actually take. The advice doesn’t just live on the page—it feels doable, even tomorrow. Whether you’re leading a team or just trying to survive your inbox, this book offers a lantern for the long corridors of work, guiding you toward something lighter, steadier, more human. Highly recommended.

Goodbye exhaustion, hello growth
This book is a great inspiration, especially when you feel completely defeated at work by the overwhelming amount of work and the few tools you feel you have. For me, the book was a change of perspective. It was almost like returning to my usual job but as a completely different person. When I finished it, I started the work week feeling renewed, adopting innovative and proactive attitudes, being clear and organized, and feeling like I actually had the position I always felt I had, giving it a more appropriate value and voice so that going to work became an encouraging challenge. This book is a gem. I must say that it pleasantly surprised me, and with each passing day, I am more and more grateful for everything it gave me in such a short time. At work, I am already experiencing its benefits.

There are many people who are dissatisfied with their jobs, but some have a hard time admitting how toxic their relationship with what they do for a living has become. They dread heading into the office every day but aren’t sure what they can do about it. This book provides some possible answers.
It breaks down what’s most problematic about many jobs and what specific actions you can take to reduce the stress and pressure you feel associated with your work. What’s perhaps best about it, though, is how the tips contained in these pages can be applied to virtually any industry or niche. Those who read it and implement the suggestions contained herein should find their work relationships improve and be able to go about their business with a renewed sense of vitality and purpose.

While there are many people who love their work, everyone, regardless of their field of expertise, has felt burned out at least once in their lives. This book offers the reader well-developed ideas and strategies for finding a balance between work and personal life.
I think the exercises and questions that we can find at the end of the chapters are fundamental and allow us to put into perspective what we have read and learned while helping us to reflect on our way of acting.
The book itself has many aspects that I loved, but mainly its organization, clarity and development. Everything is designed to catch the reader and make him feel part of the situations lived by other workers; this makes us not feel alone when we read.

Looking to understand the individual power of change and how to reduce my stress and anxiety at work, I decided to read this book. The title caught my attention, but the book did its job. It is an amazing guide to discovering the best strategies that will work for you to reduce the overwhelm you might feel at work. What I value the most is the variety of possibilities, but most important is that they are evidence-based. The author also has great personal and professional experience and will guide you through. This book is useful for everyone—stop waiting for an overall change in the business; start the change from your seat and make your workplace a well-balanced and wellness-focused environment.

An incredible book that helped me change my life and find that dream balance between work and personal life. I had been with the same company for several years and at one point I felt completely exhausted and burned out. I had too many responsibilities and everything was moving too fast. When I came across this book, I was able to understand and make the necessary changes to reduce stress and exhaustion and, above all, to know when to speak up and make decisions, even if they are difficult. This is a very practical book that will help you start enjoying your work life more, which for most of us takes up the majority of our time, and of course, organize yourself so you have time to be with your family.

I really like the approach this book takes and how we can turn one of our constant experiences into real problems. That big problem is that we've always done things the same way. This doesn't mean we don't get results; on the contrary, we do. It's just that perhaps we don't realize all the sacrifices we make by doing things this way. That's what this book focuses on: generating practical examples with highly applicable techniques so we can develop or stop thinking the way we usually do, and that there will always be a much better way to do our work without ceasing to sacrifice our lives. I really liked it and I truly recommend it to anyone who wants to have an amazing time.

This book felt incredibly timely for the stage of life I’m currently in, and I believe it’s also highly relevant for anyone navigating late adolescence or early adulthood. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed or fatigued by the pressures of the working world and its internal dynamics. However, this book offers a fresh perspective and a new way of understanding one’s relationship with work. It provides tools and insights to help manage that relationship so that, regardless of the type of job one has, work becomes a true ally rather than a burden. I really enjoyed it and would sincerely recommend it.
