Kengo Hanazawa (花沢健吾 Hanazawa Kengo, born January 5, 1974) is a Japanese manga artist known for his seinen works. He won the Topic Award of the 2005 Sense of Gender Awards for Ressentiment and was nominated for the 3rd, 4th and 5th Manga Taisho for I Am a Hero.

Whenever we are with Hideo's team nothing much happens story wise
So, what's new?
1 - we see a new french guy in empty Paris and the town is being bombarded or something he has bite marks from a child but might not be dangerous they might not turn him or just make him half zombie
1.1 - i am also confused when the zombies choose not to attack anyone next to them there is something huge happening they are all heading someway and they don't really attack everyone only stranded zombies that can't really go and follow that directive are the ones still feral and attack anyone they see
2 - Hiromi heals from being a zombie but we see that she didn't actually hate it so much and she asked them that if she turns again she doesn't want to be killed
3 - Hideo and Oda have sex
4 - they decide to go look for ammo and then again and lastly go to the hot springs
However, I really liked the map in the beginning of this volume it showed what happened in the last 12 volumes the journey of Hideo, Hiromi , Oda , kazu , and lastly ezaki the new kurusu but it looks like the first four are considered the main characters for some reason even though kazu is infected already.
I was so confused when kazu turned in his volume it didn't really make sense for me i thought they were setting him up to team with Hideo since they both know each others but since he has turned i am not sure what they have planned for him.

Tomo de transición, e el cual se aja un poco la adrenalina del ultimo tomo el cual fue sangriento,sudoroso y sin freno, mientras aca vemos que la epidemia es global y aparecen unos infectados algo mas...ehh Carpenter/Cronenberg, y si, las escenas en la iglesia me erizarón los vellos. El resto es Hideo, Hiromi y Oda, los cualés sientan un poco las cosas, se dan cuenta q son humanos y se dejan llevar por un poco de calma, con escenas calmadas,tiernas, eróticas y comprensibles, aunque todo apunta a que esto no durara mucho...

Está siendo una colección entretenida, pero tiene algunas cosas que no me están gustando demasiado.

Es porque estamos solos que somos humanos...
Nos introducen a otro personaje (ahora en Europa), donde hay zombies del tipo ciempiés (¡¿?!) para después regresar con Hide, Oda y Hiromi, quien aparentemente se ha curado, pero dice haber escuchado una voz proveniente del "hombre de cabello largo" ¿se referirá a Kurusu? Me gustó este tomo por cómo se llevó a cabo la construcción de la trama, la ciudad vacía pero devastada, los pequeños momentos de felicidad absoluta, la esperanza y la desilusión.
El único detalle que le vi, fue la poca exactitud al explicar a Hiromi la condición de el hermano transexual de Oda, de ahí en fuera incluso me gustó que tuvieran un plan (y cómo resultó hasta el momento).

This is not so much a bad volume as a 'why do you exist?' one. First, we get a couple of chapters dedicated to a random French person to show how the virus is everywhere. Totally unnecessary. But ok.

Then we go back to the trio of original 'heroes' with Hiromi recovered for some strange reason (I don't remember the last time we saw her, actually, with all those volumes dedicated to new characters). Anyway, Hanazawa then offers another totally unnecessary development: the sex scene. Why? To fill a couple of chapters and fulfill the seinen quota. At the end, there is some plot development, even if it a little bit random, with the team deciding to get some ammo... and go to an onsen? So just an okeish volume, which could not be read and wouldn't matter.

There are still too many double page spreads, but the art is still top notch.

There's too much talking and no action at all, but I guess it makes sense if you want to develop characters and have them interact. Hideo's group recouperate and decide on a plan. I'm just glad the creators remembered who the main character was. Note: the cover is a lie, Hiromi has no sniper rifle. Yet?

Hideo, Oda and Hiromi are finally in a safe place. Hiromi has healed completely (even after being shot in the head?!) and the other two are getting it on, 'cause they're human. I'm waiting for everything to blow up at any moment.

The girls want to visit the hot springs. Hideo finds there is a gun store there to refill his ammo, so he doesn't have a reason not to visit the hot springs as well. Their priorities are ammo, gas, then hot springs, if possible. Of course, the gun store is burnt down. Good start...

Tornano i primi protagonisti di I am a Hero, con l'importante novità della guarigione della liceale che era stata infettata, e che si ritrova sana, cresciuta e nostalgica per un periodo, quello in cui era ZQN, che la vedeva tranquilla e coccolata in un contesto apparentemente amichevole. Ma prima di questo interessante sviluppo, c'è la parentesi francese, che getta nuovi e inquietantissimi particolari sull'infezione, con l'esistenza di creature che sembrano radicalmente diverse dagli ZQN che conosciamo.

Band 13 von „I am a Hero“ ist in mehrerer Hinsicht schon etwas gewagt: ein seitenlanger Prolog in Französisch, Zeitsprünge in der Erzählung, sehr viel Dialog, keine Action - und eine Nackt+ Sexszene! Die neu entstandene „Familien“-Dynamik bei den Überlebenden ist ja ganz witzig. Trotzdem fühlt es sich, bis auf wenige Infos, eher wie ein Füllband an. Auch zeichnerisch bietet Band 13 bis auf den eindrucksvollen Prolog kaum Highlights. Also alles eher so mittelprächtig.

¿Qué rescato de este tomo?

1. Los nuevos escenarios del mundo devastado, fueron logrados gratamente por el autor, en este caso, Francia.
2. Por primera vez vemos la palabra zombie.
3. Encuentros pasionales, que nos harán pensar que los sentimientos pueden surgir en cualquier momento.
4. ¿Cura, rehabilitación? tienes que averiguarlo.
5. Un nuevo viaje y mas destrucción.

Este manga es uno de mis favoritos, tiene relaciones humanas muy realistas, de los mejores zombies que he visto y una historia excelente.

Me leí desde el #13 hasta el final hace unas semanas, reseña de todo el final en el tomo #22 (acá).

Los ZQR siguen expandiéndose por el mundo y la trama se toma un respiro: Algo bueno para seguir construyendo la relación entre los protagonistas pero que se siente como algo de relleno.

Start with a french guy waking up and roaming the streets of Paris finding zombies but they not attacking him, a chapter that really conveys a feel of emptyness and confusión.
Then we go back to Hiro, the nurse and the school girl, who is back in conscious human mode they are in a camping place, they agree to go near by to find a weapons store and termal baths.

A slow volumen but that se things up for an interesting continuation and puts a good question, why did the schoolgirl recovered from the infection?

Nah volume ini buat aku penasaran banget. Kenapa ada "Makhluk" seperti itu? Kok bisa? Volume-volume sebelumnya tidak "tercium" bakalan "itu" muncul. Terus si "itu" kenapa bisa jadi seperti itu? Haduh gregetan bacanya hahaha
