Strip Back brings you back to how the Naked Night's began. This is Eric's story. Back when life was a little less polished, and a whole lot harder.

Before there was Strip Teaser, there was Eric; manager and founder of the Naked Night’s male stripper troupe.

You wouldn’t think you’d be past it at 34, but that’s the position Eric found himself in, as well as newly single after finding his girlfriend in a compromising position.

Setting up the Naked Night’s wasn’t easy, it wasn’t fun, and it wasn’t without sleaze, but somehow he did it.

Strip Back is a humorous and steamy tale of one man’s journey to fulfill a dream. Not all male strippers are the same.

My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

“The sorrow of my loss hits me harder each time I have the dream, and remember how much she meant to me.”

“She’s moved on so quickly I’m suffering mental whiplash.”

“I’ve seen everything from a pole dancing caveman who fell off the pole, to a cross dressing priest in a cassock and suspenders who wouldn’t know rhythm if he fell over it.”

My Review:

Male strippers, hot steamy sex scenes, new love, funny and witty writing… today has been nirvana for this old cougar. A fun, quick, and enticing read. This little novella was smokin’ hawt and I could not put it down, other than when I needed to use my kindle to fan myself.

Well we're back seated front and centre with Naked Nights once again in this novella telling the story of the group's inception.

In this book, Eric tells us his story and it's a story of determination, loss and love. It's sweet, sad and passionate but most of all it brings us into the arms of Naked Nights right from the very beginning. We get to witness auditions by Jackal, Guido and Alex and also how Tiny and Alison fit into the group as Eric takes us through making his dream a reality; from seedy stripper to running his own group of performers.

As expected, this story sets out how Naked Nights was formed but for me it is a little bit too simplistic in its telling. I don't know if I would have preferred to read this before book 1, Strip Teaser, but I was expecting more twists and turns and background to the group's creation. This story focussed slightly more on Eric's love life with Christy than the Naked Nights but that is not a bad thing but it just left me wanting more from the story.

Writing novellas must be extremely difficult. How do you get across the story without it developing into a full blown book? This is exactly how I felt this story came across. Perhaps more would have taken the story out of the novella grouping but at the same time I felt it was more of a step by step guide to Eric and Christy's lives right up to the first performance of Naked Nights. I would prefer a full book on Eric and Christy and I hope that we get to read more about them in the future.

As always with Ava, this book was well written and entertaining. I look forward to reading more from the Naked Nights group and to get to know each of the remaining performers intimately!!!

I read Strip Teaser and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was with delight that I noticed Ava had produced the novella, Strip Back. Strip Back gives us Eric's story and the start of the Naked Nights. We get to learn how the group is put together and meet the characters we came to love in Strip Teaser. What we also get is a wonderful love story between Eric and his American nurse, Christy. Some nicely written sex scenes, no juvenile terminology - thank you for that Ava :) There are some great lines and humour throughout the book, Ava has captured (not that I'm an expert in strippers) the characters well. I loved the auditions - what a wonderful job! What I think is very clever with Ava's writing is the introduction of the music throughout the book. We saw this in Strip Teaser and again here, in Strip Back. As a reader, I could really connect with the scene with some of the music playing through my mind as I read. I loved the ending and look forward to more. Highly recommended.

This was a really refreshing and entertaining quick read.
This is Eric's story. It's the story of how Eric and some sexy men get together to form a team of strippers. I loved the chemistry between Eric & Christy.
Really good story. Must go read book one, Strip Teaser, as this authors writing is superb.

Reviewed by Donna Elsegood for Kindle Friends Forever.

I had previously read and thoroughly enjoyed Strip Teaser (Naked Night’s #1) and was delighted to hear Ava was going to write Eric's Story. But I am ashamed to say it has sat on my kindle for a while and I am pleased that I finally decided to devour it.

Firstly, at thirty-four, Eric discovers from his sleazy boss that he is too old to be head stripper. This gives him a push in the right direction. Making his dream a reality and forming his own group but more tastefully than what he had been used to. So let’s take a step back when Eric sets up the strip tease dancing troupe. How he overcomes all the problems of bringing together a show that would eventually become successful but with a price tag attached wasn't an easy feat. Eric wants a dance troupe that do not strip down completely leaving nothing to the imagination, therefore he sets about finding a venue and advertising to hold auditions.

Eric has had past conquests that meant nothing until he meets Christy who is an American working temporarily in the UK. They embark on a very passionate love affair; however, both try to guard their hearts as they know it cannot last due to circumstances. These two certainly have some very steamy scenes and I really liked the way they interacted with each other. Talking and laughing as well as the pure attraction made them such a sweet couple.

I was totally besotted with the male and female characters in this story. The author certainly knows how to create good strong characters. I do not want to give too much away as this is a novella. There is also a very good playlist to this book which is definitely worth listening to. And whilst I would love to read more from these characters, it’s on my understanding that it’s not the normal contemporary erotic genre most read. Perhaps because it’s not about bikers, rockers or CEOs which may prove more popular. My interest in this series was purely for reading a little something different from the norm, certainly not for the hot strippers who feature in it! “Essentially they were for intensive research purposes!” I jokingly quote.

A very well deserved five stars and my fingers are crossed as I’d love to read more about the super-hot men of Naked Nights.

It's all about the tease...the strip tease that is, and that's exactly the kind of sexy show that Eric envisioned when he set about creating Naked Nights. The venture was risky to say the least, but he was willing to do just about anything to make his dream of running a classy group of male performers come true.

In this prequel to Strip Teaser, readers get Eric's back story and grow to understand why his all male review is more seducing than raunchy, more smooth moves than letting it all hang out, and as readers learn the steps he took to get Naked Nights up and running, we also witness the man himself change his ways and realize the value he has as a business man, performer, and someone who deserves a classy woman instead of the whores he's used to warming his bed.

I love that Ava took readers through the auditions, so we were able to see how Eric put his team of dancers together. It helped explain the eclectic nature of his guys and the different personas that they would come to play in book one.

Coinciding with Eric's new endeavor is his new relationship with Christy. It's supposed to be just a fling because she's heading back to the States after her stint at the hospital is complete, but the chemistry between them is scorching as illustrated by the steamy scenes they share, so regardless of how much neither of them want their feelings to come into play, they do, which makes it that much harder to say goodbye.

Eric's novella is a closer look at the man behind the sexy performers and their seducing show. It helps readers to understand a bit more about why and how Naked Nights started, and it also shows readers a bit of Eric's wild side - something that we don't see in Strip Teaser. It's a fun and sexy read that will readers wanting more of Eric and his sexy nurse.

Strip Back
Naked Nights Series - Eric's Story #0.5
by Ava Manello

I was provided an ARC of this story as a member of Ava Manello's street team. I have been eagerly awaiting this release from author Ava Manello. Strip Back is the prequel to the Naked Nights Series, with book one, Strip Teaser, available now.

Eric is the founding member of the Naked Nights. Eric is a veteran of the all male review scene. He knows what he does not want in a show, and what he does. When he is unceremoniously let go from his job as an exotic dancer for being "too old" at age 34 to be one of the featured performers. Eric decides to use this opportunity to start his own male review. He has the goals of having a show that is classy, sexy, and not filthy. Eric has this single minded goal until he meets Christy.

Christy is a nurse, temporarily studying medicine in the UK, where there is advanced technology in emergency medicine for her to learn. Her goal was always to have the position to be for a few months, and to return home to her family in the US. Will Eric through a wrench into her plans when their chemistry is too much to ignore?

I love Ava Manello's writing style. Her characters are charming and have a sense of humor. You truly route for their happiness because they are so likeable. This story also has a strong plot, and is filled with steamy scenes.

***Part of Ava Manello's beta team***

Hello and welcome to the very beginning of the Naked Nights. From the low of being on your knees (well ..finding a certain someone in a dubious position!) through cringe worthy auditions to a victorious opening night. This book is a fast paced entertaining look behind the scenes of a male strippers act. We follow Eric as he is sacked from his current job and decides to use it as an opportunity to achieve his goal. He sets up on his own and follows his dream of an act that is about the beauty of the male form, the music and the interpretation of the lyrics. Eric has a vision and this is his story of making dreams become a reality.

Christy is his leading lady and without saying too much they fall head over heels in lust and this develops into a shoulda woulda coulda type thing which I hope we pick up on as suggested in the next book! Their sexy time scenes are hot, realistic and you can almost feel the heat between them as you read.

The beginnings and Eric's past also make re reading Strip Teaser fresh, as we gain insight into why he acts as he does. This was a quick, humurous read that ticks all the boxes. A four star sizzling read.

Well I am so pleased to have had me some more Naked Nights! Ah Eric, it was his turn for the spotlight and what a spotlight it was. I totally saw ‘him’ this time, not the boss trying to put together routines and shows but the man behind the shows, and I was hooked on him.

Ava has fantastic penmanship to bring to life a band of male strippers with her own style of panache. It was great to see how Eric put together his team and how Guido the Italian Stallion from ……. (hahahaa not gonna tell you if you haven’t read Strip Teaser ☺ ) got his spot too.

I really connected with Christy, I hope we get to see a lot more of her because I hope beyond hope this isn’t the last of the Naked Nights! I need me some more ripped Abs and oiled buns!

Well done Ava, this was a perfect addition to Strip Teaser and like I say I cannot wait to read more of this band of Nights!

I received a copy of Strip Back in return for an honest review my reviews are my own and are 100 honest.

NADBB gets to read a blog favorite and review? A win-win!

Synopsis:

This series revolves around the Naked Nights. Hot stripping men and their drama filled lives and the way the obstacles they face in having personal relationships. This story is of Eric the founder of Naked Nights and the struggle he had to create this stripper group.

The Good:

The writing in this entire series is superb. I mean Ava Manello can write people. Eric's story I loved even more than the first. There's humor, laughter, drama and heat. Yes I think the heat cannot be overstated here.

The Bad:

Male strippers aren't who I look at and say traditionally, yes this is the book boyfriend I want for life. That said if you start this series you won't regret it and you will definitely want more. At least I know I do.

The Rating: 4.5 stars. We're HUGE Ava groupies.

Stripped Back is a brilliant prequel novella by Ava Manello and focuses on answering all those burning questions we had over Eric and why he set up the Naked Nights from Strip Teaser and how all the men we came to love Alex, Tiny, Guido to name a few joined him.
We see his journey from unhappy, miserable and disillusioned seedy stripper to a new troupe manager and all that that entails suffering through: dire dance auditions, laughable job adverts and very bizarre clothing choices!!
He also has some red hot moves at play with a very lucky lady and the saying you don't know what you've got till its gone has never been more true. This is the perfect one sitting read: fun, hot and entertaining with a great soundtrack too!!

Strip Back is Eric's story and i loved the extra insight into the manager of Naked Nights. After been told he's too old to be a stripper and finding his girlfriend in a compromising position with his frieend, Eric takes a good look at how his life's going and decides to make some changes. Determined to set up his own classy dance/strip group he enlists the help of his friend Tiny. While doing this he meets Christy, an american nurse in the UK temporarily. Will she stay when her job ends or will she go home? I loved getting to know the Naked Nights men better and Eric comes across as really sweet. I was rooting for him and Christy all the way to the end. Definitely need to hear more of their story. Another really good, light hearted romance from Ava Manello.

If you have read Strip Teaser then you definitely need to read this. You get to know more about Eric and why he set up Naked Night's, who steals his heart and why.

It's a fun and sweet novella to read either before Strip Teaser or after. I found myself rooting for Naked Night's getting off the ground and wishing i was there during the auditions ( my imagination was having all kinds of fun with those ). It's also sexy and romantic with a little bit of hot thrown in.

Only downside for me is that there is no closure for Eric and Christy in this book. Next book in the Naked Night's series please lovely Ms Manello

Strip Back is a short prequel to Strip Teaser. In this book we find out how Naked Nights came to be and how Eric came to meet the sexy guys he now works with. We also get an insight into Christy the girl that stole his heart but with her only working in the UK for a short time will their relationship survive.

This is a short but fab read from Ava Manello and can be read either before or after Strip Teaser.

This story takes you on the journey of Eric and how he came about to set up Naked Nights.

In this story Eric falls for Christy but both of them can't admit their real feelings for each other until to it's to late.

Christy and Eric are a great couple and I hope that the next book is their continuing story

It is a great quick read of how Eric and the boys come to be the Naked Nights and what they have achieved.

When you immerse yourself into the book world you meet some amazing authors, you also meet some fabulous people you love to bits but their books don’t do anything for you. Let me be perfectly honest, deciding to read a book by an Indie author I admire and respect is not something I do lightly but, having read one of her previous books, and enjoying it before I met her, I decided to give this one a go while it was free over the weekend.
The first thing I have to say is that I became aware very quickly that this was more of a prequel to her Naked Nights series and was a little concerned that the lack of prior knowledge of the characters would detract from my enjoyment but I needn’t have worried.
While the plot does develop at a fast pace, you still find yourself being engaged by the primary characters. You find yourself rooting for this seemingly doomed perfect romance while completely understanding the motivation behind both Eric and Christy’s reluctance to face the fact they are falling in love.
The secondary characters are well written and although we only see a brief glimpse into their lives there is just enough to leave you wanting more. Each character is well thought out, from the polar opposite dynamics of Tiny’s relationship to the dance past of Alex, and the rest of the newly formed troupe, you know that there will be plenty to engage within the following books if they are as well written as this.
I thoroughly enjoyed the fact this was a story with some red hot sex scenes thrown in, not some sex scenes with a rough plot holding it together. I found myself laughing at some of my own experiences in pubs and clubs during ‘Ladies Nights’ knowing exactly the types of sleazy strip routines to which the author was alluding.
If I had a criticism it would be that I wanted more, however, I accept that not having read book 1 I am not in a position to know what had already been revealed, well not yet anyway as I am pretty certain the next book will be making its way onto my new kindle.
I have no qualms about giving this a 5 out of 5-star review, I read it in one afternoon, once I started reading I didn’t want to put it down.

I was interested in reading about strippers, so I tried this one. And I liked it very much. The writing isn’t always so great, but the characters are interesting and quite likeable, and I enjoyed the way Christy and Eric acted around each other.

Since they don’t have much time together--Christy has to be back to her family in the USA in a few months--they agree on a fling, but you see instantly that it’s going to be more than that. And yet, you know that there isn’t much they can do to change how their relationship is gonna end. It’s a beautiful story, if a little sad.

And of course, there are the sexy parts. It’s quite steamy, but also full of love. And you get naked men dancing--I told you it’s about strippers--though it’s only the beginning of the troupe and you don’t see much.

It’s quite a short read, and a great teaser for a series I’m now interested in--though there’s only one book so far.

Wow I really enjoyed this book. It was my first by this author as I’m reading in preparation for Books on the Beach Blackpool.

I have to say I went in blind knowing nothing of the other books with these characters, but I loved the whole thing. I loved how Eric followed his dream and how hard he fell for Christy. Their connection was intense. I loved Tiny and being introduced to all the other stripper characters. Some of those routines made me blush just reading about them! 😂 I will certainly be reading more about this group of sexy strippers.

This is the first time I have read this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This wont be my last.
This is Eric's story, hes a 34 year old Male stripper who gets fired when hes the Lead in a Sleazy Male Stripper Revue.
He take a few moments to think about what he wants to do with his life...and is bored out of his mind. Eric has thought ahead and made investments for retirement. He decides to start his own Dance show not just a full strip but a strip- tease dance show. Now the work begins.
Very interesting book.
Of course he has to find a love interest along the way as well.

This novella tells us the back story of Eric and those famous Naked Nights Strippers and how they came about.
Eric is working for a sleazy strip group and when he's fired he decides to set up his own group for the classier clients.. cue auditons.. stress and worry.
When in the pub one night he bumps into American nurse Christy and his life begins to change for the better.
All I can say is I NEED more for these guys! They were steamy, they were hot, they were perfect for each other.

Quite interesting reading a story from a male stripper perspective as opposed to a female one. Also the fact that the age limitations are similar in the professional sense, or at least in this book it is. Not a massive amount to the story otherwise but a good read and fairly lighthearted, not overly long so I read it in a few hours. It is a story you can get engrossed in as it is a nice easy read with a steady flow. Nothing to heavy so no violence but there is explicit sexual content.

This is a very sweet and sensual story of Eric and Christy. Eric is busy setting up his own show when he meets Christy in a bar. She is on a 6-month job as a nurse. Her time in England is limited. They fail to communicate their feelings in a timely manner. I would love to know what happens next.

This story was full of descriptions of scenes after the fact instead of dialogue and authentic interaction between the main couple. Therefore the result was zero chemistry. Boring love scenes too. Not for me.
