Another Heather Wynd winner!
This book has all the beauty and history of the Scottish Highlands described in beautiful detail which immerses the reader in the castles, the legend of Loch Ness and the challenges of sight-seeing that half-sisters Natalie and Alexandra enjoy.
Blended into the magical atmosphere of Bieldfell is the tension Ms Walsh creates as unexplained incidents threaten Natalie’s well-being during their tour, amplified by Alexandra’s mood swings ranging from demonstrations of affection to deep-seated envy and apparent antipathy. Sharing her concern with Jonas back home brings unexpected results as he tries to ensure Natalie’s safety.
An intriguing plot and a well-told story which keeps the reader fully engrossed. This is a voluntary review of an ARC received from the author.

An unknown sister; lurking jealousy and misunderstandings; vague threats and unexplained accidents — from the opening pages to the closing paragraphs, the reader is taken on a journey of discovery and surprise in Ms Walsh's addition to the Our House on Heather Wynd series. Beautiful descriptions and rich vocabulary accompany a story full of twists and turns.
The gentle reawakening of faith adds further depth to the story and its development. A thoroughly enjoyable read!
