The prophecies say she’ll choose the ancient Alrekur, and they are supposed to never be wrong, but Alexis is determined to find a loophole. When she is forced to spend time with Alrekur and begins to see his charm, she is torn. Her heart still belongs to Cliff, but would it be so awful if the prophecies were fulfilled?

In love

I’m totally in love with this series. The drama is on fire and love. I get a little confused sometimes cause it takes a different direction, but that could also just be me. I’m scared to go to the next book and it be one of the other characters and I’m not ready for it. Enjoy the cliffhangers

Title speaks volumes

I really enjoyed reading this book. However there was a lot of repetition going on throughout the book. It caused for it to drag on at parts. In the beginning of the book we spent so much time with Alexis worrying about trying to fix the human world when that wasn't even the premise of the book. Had it been then her going on and on about it would have been purposeful.

I didn't like how she turned Zirmira (sorry if I misspelled it). Then we had no real interaction with her.I would have liked a little more of that. So we could have built a relationship with her, but we also could gave seen first hand how Alexis mothers. But I guess that would have prolonged her relationship with Cliff.

I fell in love with little Larus in the book 3. He was such a sweetie. The grown version was a bit of a jerk. He was kind of rude to his mother all the time. He didn't have all the facts. About their relationship and it made him blindsided.

Also we got retold part of previous books in large sums. I understand t need to bring clarity for readers, but don't bulk it down. It didn't flow well in some instances and it felt forced. Making it more of a push through.

I think I respected Alexis as a character in this book more than the other ones. She was so strong and powerful in this book. Not depressed, acting like a victim, or useless. She fought for what she wanted even thought she struggled to find out what that was. She was courageous. We saw so many different faucets of her and it was breathtaking. I loved learning about her journey with Cliff. I felt their love and chemistry. I felt their pain when she realized her love for him had grown different. That parting scene was so captivating heartfelt and strong.

I think this book left a lot of unanswered questions and I can't wait to get them answered. I look forward to seeing how she rules and how relationship will play out with Alre.

Once you start, there's no going back

I have to say that I don't think I've read a series so fast in my life. This series is addictive.

( I received a digital copy of the book. Thanks to Stacy Claflin!!! )

This story has come a long way from where it began yet it doesn't seem to lose its touch. Indeed the author always manages to amaze with all these twists and the suspense. And if the climax of this book is anything to go by, this is the beginning of yet another wonderful adventure like the one of Alexis. The author surely has nag for them, all those captivating climaxes.

This is one of the best and my favourite series. It always has some action, witty dialogues, suspense, thrill and love. Infant this book has a bit more of romance than the other one. It was more like a build up for the next book to come. Anyways Alexis's love story has been so complecated......damn there were so many suitors..... so many heart breaks.....

Excited to read the next book and I recommend this series to all paranormal lovers. Especially those who love werewolves and vampires and a bit of mystery and romance.

This book is very confusing!! A lot of it didn't make any sense at all. I don't understand what happened 2 her town, her human family, etc.at all. I was happy that her stuck up bitch of her sis got what was coming 2 her for yrs. It's VERY HEART BREAKING about her and cliff especially after everything they've been through since they were kids and their love. I was surprised that the wolve teacher was still alive and finally found out what happened 2 him over the yrs. I don't understand what the deal is with Amanda and her bf. R they married now, r they vampires 2, and if so what happened 2 them 2 change, etc.? There's a lot of unanswered questions. I hope the next book is better. It's been going really good so far in the series until this one. Cause this one is really confusing and left out a lot of stuff out.it just don't add up 2 me like it should.

Slow start and then reels you back in

I have really enjoyed this series but this book knocked me right of the story. I've been reading the books in order, purchasing the next right after finishing one. This book starts 80 years after the last book and the world is vastly different. There is no preamble, you are just dropped into this unfamiliar world while th story keeps moving. It takes awhile to get your bearings and was almost enough to make me stop reading and move on to another book. I'm glad I decided to stay with it as it does start to feel familiar and draws you back into the story. I just wish that there had been a preamble to help set the stage instead of just dropping us 80 years into the future. Once we get reacquainted with the characters the story takes off and kept me turning the pages until I was finished and purchasing the next book.

Good read, but........

The story is good. There is some attempt at adding atmosphere, although it never quite hits the mark. The main reason for 3* is that there are an awful lot of spelling mistakes and unnecessary, and repeated words. Whoever did the proof reading was pretty poor at their job. The author also seems to either run out of ways to expand the story, or wants to finish up one chapter quickly and so you're left feeling a little disappointed and cheated, as the story has so much unfulfilled potential. Also, the language used doesn't always seem to fit. One minute the characters are talking as you would expect royalty to speak, the next they're speaking like college kids. It's a little jarring at times. All in all I would recommend this series of books, they're just not perfect.

I have been provided with a copy of Ascension by the author for an impartial review. This is the fourth book in the Transformed series and it this book picks up about 80 years after the last book Forgotten ended. In this book Alexis finally has to make a decision between Cliff Montgomery and Alrekur Vidarsson. I really enjoyed this book not only the conflict that Alexis faced over who to choose, but also I loved getting to see everyone come together in order to face the newest enemy. If you’ve read Forgotten you know who the current enemy is and what is at stake. This book was just so easy to get lost in and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I do truly enjoy this series, I smile while reading and am always so excited and happy for Alexis.

With that being said lets get to the heart of the reason why here are only 3 stars. There are a LOT of spelling issues. This version is an older one so maybe they have been fixed since then. However I am going off of the one I have and I do not know if the author Stacy Clafin either self published without having anyone proof read or maybe she used a company who had member of staff that didn't care. Regardless it does make it hard to enjoy a book when there is a lack of care.

Hooked on this series

Oh there’s plenty of action to hold your attention. There’s several times I cried, some heartbreaking things happen in this story. Strong characters fill the story.

This story, takes place 80 yrs after book 3. Because of the break you might be able to start with it, but you would’ve missed everything that got us to this point. And although this book does reach a conclusion it does lead you into the next one.

Feed Back

Nothing wrong with the story line.

The problem is the many mistakes in the printing/editing.

Example words in the wrong sequence missing words, needs looking into/at it becomes annoying after a while.

Finally

This is the book I’ve been waiting for her to write. The characters are all mature, and don’t make me so mad, plus there’s no weird deviant sex attractions. I finally feel she’s writing at her potential.

Good Read

Was a different kind of vampire story with other types of supernaturals thrown in. I really liked the story that had a clean romance, action, magic, and some twists. My only drawback is that this needs to be edited. There were some grammar errors

Such confusing emotions

****Possible Spoilers**** This mess between Cliff and Alrekur is so heartbreaking for everyone involved. No matter what, someone is going to get hurt. And of course there is another war brewing. Will there ever be peace for Alexis?

I've been rooting and pulling for Cliff and Alexis through all the 'teenaged' angst, memory losses, prophacy hooo haaaa only to hit this book and the jump to Alre. I am so hating on this shift. Especially after finding out there is a LOOPHOLE and she doesn't even look for it before planning to cut Cliff loose.

Just gets better!

This series is amazing! Some authors can waste a lot of words and time rewriting large parts of previous books in the series at the beginning of each new instalment - that's not the case here so the story is off and running almost straight away! Normally by this point I would be looking around for something new, but that's not the case here - I'm off to buy the next installment.

I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.

The thing that I love about Stacy Claflin's book is that you never know what you're going to get when you open the book. For instance, in Forgotten you are transported back to the 'human' world with Alexis as she tries to figure out what's going on and who did what. With Ascension it starts with 80 years having passed, with Alexis being with Cliff the whole way through and having 10 children together. This is enough to secure her 'line'. However, not only do they have to worry about Alrekur deciding to step up his game but also it appears that the Nokken (who made a very brief appearance at the end of Forgotten) have decided that they will be the ones to take down the Sonnast.

This book sweeps you along with the story and you will definitely feel for Alexis as she tries to decide what her heart is saying about who it is she must choose. All I will say is that I'm very glad that she chose who she did.

The ending of this book will definitely leave you wanting more and wondering just what else is going to happen with the vampire world and the Sonnast in particular. Definitely recommended.

This book has come so far since the first. The first in the series was way too dramatic Twilight teen fluff. Since that one they have gotten better and better. I love all of the characters. Although I almost feel the scene with Ida could have been more detailed. It was too cut and dry. But I really like the relationships between Alexis and her kids. I also like the addition of Zamira but even that was missing something. I suppose we'll find out more in #5.

Great story. Lots of emotion and wonderful characters.
