This is the first book I read of A. K. Michaels, and I love the paranormal world she envisioned. I'll definitely go back and read the other titles in her series to get to know all the interesting characters mentioned in The Dragon and The Vampire. I don't think I've ever read a novel about a dragon shifter, and that makes this story unique to me. Starr is larger than life. I like Ronan a great deal. His attitude--macho outside but soft-hearted inside--is very sweet and he speaks in a different language, which made the dialogues fun to read. I also tried to pronounce a few of the words, but I don't think I came even close to the way they should be spoken. Then Starr appears. She steals the scene from the moment she enters the stage and she remains the absolute protagonist of the story. The artist who worked on the cover did an amazing job at capturing Starr, because the image matches how I painted her in my mind while I was reading the book. Thanks, Ava, for giving me the opportunity to read The Dragon and The Vampire before it comes out. It was a privilege and a pleasure. Can't wait to read the next in this series.

Fantastic Series!!
I long awaited Ronan's story and I was not disappointed He is completely the opposite of what I thought he would be like....While I really enjoyed His Sire's story in The Witch, The Wolf & the Vampire, I absolutely loved this one...
So much action, magick and passion, oh the passion between Ronan and his Mate Starr is mind blowing what a love full of unbridled passion...She is magical, because of what she is...What an unlikely couple, but mates just the same...
Starr is not just a pretty face, she is much, much bigger than that and the last of her kind, but is she? Her vampire has sworn to protect her from the evil that hunts her, but Starr has plans of her own to protect her "Fang". Now they must go rescue another of her kind that they never knew existed.
This was not a short story, but I was so enthralled with it that I could not put it down. So what did I do, I read the whole thing in one sitting.
You have got to read this book to appreciate what I am saying, Bravo Ava!! This is to me the best yet and I can't wait for the next SEB story and their coming adventure which will unite Ronan with his sire Josef and his mate Peri....What a confrontation awaits the evil witch.

Oh my Goddess!!!!!! I was so involved in what was happening in the story that I came to the end and just collapsed. Are you kidding me???? Really Ava???? Now I am going to be sitting her waiting for book 2 and to let you know, it will not be patiently!!

I'm a huge fan of paranormal and The Dragon and The Vampire was a great and enjoyable read. Both main characters, Ronan and Starr are so easy to love and enjoy reading about. Ronan is a vampire and director of the Supernatural Enforcement Bureau (SEB) and he takes on a mission of finding a Dragon. It is rumored to be the only Dragon left and it's being hunted so Ronan and his team have to help and protect the Dragon. What Ronan doesn't plan on doing his meeting his mate. Starr is a dragon shifter and after her brother, Talon gets captured, she has been running of the hunter and trying to save herself. When she becomes the protection of Ronan and his team, sparks fly between Ronan and Starr.
It's definitely love at first sight between Starr and Ronan. It's a really beautiful relationship that blossoms between them, Don't get me wrong, Starr is a bad ass dragon and can take care of herself and does find it hard to let Ronan help. Ronan is just......WOW! I love his domineering, possessive, authority type personality he has going on. Very Sexy!

This looks like its going to be a fantastic series is this first book is anything to go by. I know this authors books a very good and I like every last one of them, but this one, wow, its goes beyond all her other titles. The story line is so intricately woven through the characters and their paranormal abilities. The head of the Supernatural Enforcement Bureau finally fins his mate! Not only is she a female on the run from hunters who are witches and vampires she is a 'Dragon' possibly the last of her kind. When Ronan sees her for the first time his whole being is lunged into the urge to find and keep her safe! Kill her hunters, and when he finally meets her, his whole being is overwhelmed by his love for her. Then they find out that her brother may be the dragon being held captive by an enormously powerful witch in a deep cave in Canada, well, they will just have to go and save him, but to do so he is going to need the help of the wife of his sire, Josef. His mate is Peri, an enormously powerful witch. That leaves you hungry for the next one in the series!

Starr has been running from those who wish to capture and torture her for 10 long years. Suddenly there is a vampire and a witch who want to help but can she trust them with her life. Ronan has been head of the Supernatural Enforcement Bureau for the last few years and suddenly he has a case involving a dragon. He tries to find and help her but she does not trust anyone.
This story line flows as smooth as glass from start to finish in this book. the 2 main character interaction is great and their interaction with the other story line characters makes this whole book worth the time to read it.
This book is for mature paranormal book readers because of sexual content. This is a great start to to another fantastic book series by author Ava K. Michaels and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. WAY TO GO!!

one of the best paranormal romance books I have read....I fell in love with Ronan right from the start...you will be introduced to a dragon in this book...yes I said a dragon, and you will love her as well...A K has done it again...the book is amazeballs...I mean I really could not put it down...I think I may have stopped breathing a few times it was that good...I don't give spoilers, but Ronan is a vampire and he is head of the SEB or supernatural enforcement bureau (he's the supernatural police) we will call him...anyway, someone is after the dragon and she is rare, and could be the last one in existence...and Ronan will stop at nothing to save her...could she be the love of his life? you will just have to read and find out...you will not be disappointed...a MUST read...happy reading...

Who is being hunted by Witches and hunters both. What Rohan does not know is this Dragon is a sexy woman . Rohan is attracted to Starr the Dragon from the very first time he see's her. He soon learns she is his fated mate lol . Can Rohan protect his mate and can they have their happy ever after? . This book is amazing!! . You will so fall in love with Rohan . I've read the book in one sitting (say 3 hours with two toddlers bugging me on the side).
AK Michaels story sucked me up to the last page (which I want to turn the page more if possible) because it is unique and not my usual Vampire paranormal reads.
It is my first book of AK Michaels and I AM HOOKED.
The story of Ronan (the Vampire) and Starr (the Dragon) is unique.. I admire how the author put up all her characters together.
This book has it all humor, romance, supense and adventure so you will really find yourself hooked in this book and end up craving for more.
I highly recommend this book.
I can't wait for Book 2!

The first in the series and it literally is a scorcher. Probably the best two nicknames I have read in a book. Puff and Fang..... Brilliant read by AK Michaels. Hot vamp and an even hotter dragon, what more do you want. Star is the badass that we all wish we could be and that fine specimen Ronan is the male that we all wish we could have! The author has given us a new world to explore and it's a darn exciting and intriguing world indeed. I will read the second book in this series for sure, and the third and so on, until Ms. Michaels has satisfied her literary imagination and my reading compulsion.

And I f**king loved it!!! Starr is an awesome kick ass alpha female dragon and Ronan is a dominating alpha male vamp. Together they make the hottest, steamiest couple. They can overcome all and any obstacles sent their way. Can't wait for the rest of the series.

It was a good overall story. Dragons hunted to near extinction. Hero finds the last one and falls madly in love with her. Vampire and Dragon bond, fight evil witches after dragon for her magical blood. Discover another Dragon may be alive. Moves along nicely. Worth the read.

Ronan is a powerful vampire and Director of the Supernatural Enforcement Bureau is surprised to find out that dragons DO exist and that one is being hunted in his area. He has to find her and then protect her with everything he has before a group of black magic practising supernaturals catch her. Starr is a dragon and has spent her life hiding in order to say alive. When she meets Ronan she suddenly feels safe and it becomes apparent they are mates.
Great story with lots of drama and danger in the desperate fight to keep Starr safe. Mixed into that was a love story which certainly has a foundation in physical love too. Good start to the series. Well written and a pleasant read.

First book for me by this author, and I can say I’m very happy o have read it. A.K. Michaels has written a terrific story and I loved every page of it.
She paints a great story, vivid gritty characters, a great story line, Dragons, Vampires and magic, what more could you ask for.
This book is linked to a series, one of which I am definitely going to be reading the series now as she has captured my imagination

I really liked this one. Starr is a great character and we get to really learn about Ronan and what makes him tick, even though we met him briefly in Josef/Gabe/Peri's story. A.K.'s paranormal world is unique and that opens up a lot of possibilities. Can't wait to see where she goes with the dragons.

This story has plenty of action but no subtlety, the story progression is pretty obvious.
There is a random kidnap scene that could be quite interesting if expanded on but is only mentioned for a couple of paragraphs.
If you like sexy vampire stories then give it a go

Received in exchange for an honest review.
After reading A. K. Michael’s, “The Witch, The Wolf and the Vampire” series, I was content with the way their romance played out. It was hot, it was sexy, it was romantic. And then she went and introduced some MORE CHARACTERS at the end of the third book that made me curious. Some authors, I find, have difficulty creating spin-offs of characters in books. Supernatural Enforcement Bureau isn’t one of those books. The events take place almost at the same time as The Witch, The Wolf, and The Vampire Book Three and occur and blend simultaneously. It’s uncanny.
In the world of the Supernatural there are Magic users. Witches and Wizards who weld magic for good or evil. But there is a greater magic; Dark Magic that only a few can poses.
After learning that Dark Magic is drawn from the blood of Dragons, SEB Director, Ronan, is instructed by his Sire, Josef, to investigate and to protect what they believe is the last Dragon.

I love watching authors grow, and I love watching their writing grow with them.
Although SEB Book 1 isn’t my favourite of her novels, it still has a lot of merit. Author A. K. Michaels writes A LOT of Supernatural Fiction, and I mean A LOT. It’s very refreshing to find new and indie authors write to this genre, especially those that are good at it. Michaels stays true to the characters and stories, and creates a world where living with the supernatural seems common. There are witches, dragons, vampires and werewolves, and the best part is they’re not stupid, or sparkly, or anything ridiculous. What they are is loyal, intelligent, resourceful, and dare I say, organized.
I miss Josef, and Gabriel and Peri, but Ronan, Esther, Sam, Serge and Starr are pretty fun characters. Ronan and Sam especially. I almost want to envision Sam and Dean Winchester from Supernatural but I think Ronan and Sam are more badass. Even the older witch Esther is pretty cool, the way she handles Ronan and is firm with her beliefs and position. She also doesn’t fail to do what’s right in terms of ‘magical justice’ let’s say.
Maybe I’m a little biased, but I don’t have the sort of connection with Ronan and Starr as I do with Peri, Josef and Gabe. Perhaps that will change as I grow to love Starr, Ronan, and the rest of the SEB task force, but for now, I’m still in love with my favourite, witch, werewolf, and vampire trio. Maybe they’ll make a surprise cameo in the upcoming novels! One can only hope.
Supernatural Enforcement Bureau looks to be full of action, considering all that Ronan and Starr have to go through. No spoilers as to what sort of action, but look forward to it. I’m excitedly anticipating the next book and hope for there to be lots more drama and action between these two. Hopefully, they get their happily ever after.

After reading A. K. Michael’s, “The Witch, The Wolf and the Vampire” series, I was content with the way their romance played out. It was hot, it was sexy, it was romantic. And then she went and introduced some MORE CHARACTERS at the end of the third book that made me curious. Some authors, I find, have difficulty creating spin-offs of characters in books. Supernatural Enforcement Bureau isn’t one of those books. The events take place almost at the same time as The Witch, The Wolf, and The Vampire Book Three and occur and blend simultaneously. It’s uncanny.
In the world of the Supernatural there are Magic users. Witches and Wizards who weld magic for good or evil. But there is a greater magic; Dark Magic that only a few can poses.
After learning that Dark Magic is drawn from the blood of Dragons, SEB Director, Ronan, is instructed by his Sire, Josef, to investigate and to protect what they believe is the last Dragon.
