About the author

I’ve wanted to write books for adults for as long as I can remember but I was too scared to try. One day I decided to be brave and dipped a toe into the bubble bath of romantic comedy with my first novella, Cupidity, and I’ve never looked back. I often try to be funny to be funny, except for when faced with traffic wardens and border control staff. My favourite thing is making people smile.

I’ve tried many jobs over the years, from barmaid to market researcher and I even had a brief flirtation with modelling. These days I am mostly found writing.

I live near London with my grey tabby cat, Portia. We both have an unhealthy obsession with Marmite.

Return to Half Moon Farm is my very first novel by Holly Hepburn. And I have been blessed with this wonderful uplifting page-turning book. I have to fully recommend reading this story as so much happens in this fabulous novel, Return to Half Moon Farm. once I started reading from the first page I couldn’t stop reading for one minute. I just know all readers are going to love this new novel by Holly Hepburn. I find it quite amazing when I connect to certain topics throughout a well love novel. I absolutely love the idea that this novel was set in the countryside of Kent, and I live in Kent. I did feel sorry for Daisy, when her mother falls ill and she had to return home. No matter what, it was the right thing for Daisy to do, I would do exactly the same in looking after my mother. Daisy has done a wonderful job raising her twins. But Daisy’s twins will have to get used to no WI-FI while staying at her mother’s. I’m afraid I wouldn’t know what to do without the internet. The one is hand on my heart I do love a story where romance could be on the cards. Daisy certainly kept me wondering if she will let her guard down and fall in love. If you all love reading books by Milly Johnson, Cathy Bramley, Katie Fforde Miranda Dickinson then you are all in for a special surprise treat with Holly Hepburn novels. I purely loved every moment of this story, so a huge thank you to Simon and Schuster for very kindly sending me this lovely novel to read and review.

It made me feel warm. At first, I thought it’ll be another boring read that I’ll be itching to finish so I could move on to another book. However, towards the end my mind changed and I realised how much I actually loved this story. In the moment it felt like a good 4/5, however overall it’s a 3/5 for me. I loved Kit, especially when they went flying. It felt like it was missing something though.

Different to the usual type of romance books I read. Was a real slow burner and then suddenly everything happened at once in the last 4 chapters. I did find myself enjoying it and being invested but I was also looking forward to it being done so it’s rounded down from 3.5!

Daisy is goed ingeburgerd, ze heeft haar eigen routine, gezin en zorg voor haar moeder goed verdeeld en op een rijtje.
De brieven blijven fascineren, Kit de landheer begint wat moeilijk te doen rond haar ontdekkingen en is alsook erg jaloers. Want Daisy en Drew groeien steeds meer naar elkaar. De jongens beleven ook de tijd van hun leven en zien Half Moon als hun thuis. Dat haar ex plots opduikt zet alles weer even stil en anders.
Holly Hepburn schrijft heerlijk feelgood met de nodige intriges in heden en verleden. Het lees zo vlot weg en alles loopt mooi in elkaar.
De winter komt er aan, zal alles kunnen ontdooien en/of op zijn plaats vallen?
